Not many people even know this car exist, it's definitely a looker. I'm driving a yellow BK1 3.8 and it definitely invites curiosity and questions. Mine's not de/re-badged either, practically stock with Hyundai rims and badges. Best car i've had this far and honestly one of the cheapest ways to get into 300+ horsepower territory. Fun and most definitely overlooked by many.
Just got a 2015 Ultimate a few months ago. I agree with everything. I think it’s awesome that you don’t see too many around because I do get stopped and asked about it constantly. I love mine.
I appreciate bro! I feel you with the lack of content, I'm surprised that there is not more content on these cars because they're fun and good-looking!
@@Bk2.Kantrellhonestly the car is fun but really unreliable and are known to blow up that’s why people tend to not make much content on it and the aftermarket scene isn’t much
@@imillyrockonanyblock3280 yeah I mean I can see that being a reason but still the cars aren’t that bad with blowing up. Unless u just get a neglected one which tends to be the cheaper ones that are bought
The turbo is the best car to modify. The 3.8 should stay stock with little to no aftermarket support. You may want to stay with 13-16 years because the other years have cam gear issues and less HP
As someone who has owned a 2015 Ultimate for 2 years now, gotta say I love the platform. Excellent value for money. Lots of fun. Remarkably practical (I can drive from GA to IL and only stop once for gas if I start with a full tank). Not super easy to modify the 3.8 but I'm working on it and man is it great. Love all the engagement I get too since it's turning into a bit of a unicorn.

I got one, all white... 35k miles.. MINT AF in storage, zero issues. Inside a garage underneath an expensive car cover. 💯 Actually, thats it in my profile pic.
I had my 2014 3.8 genesis coupe for about 5 years. I would say it’s a pretty reliable car if you keep up with the maintenance and don’t go to Mexico a lot.
Have one, live in Canada. Like any rear wheel drive, you have to be light footed. If you get a lot of snow, you'll bottom out. Having winter tires makes a big difference.
Lots of complaints about the traction control shutting off power during hard acceleration. Most suggest turning it off which also disabled the stability control. So either don't lead foot and leave nannies on or shut them off and drive sensibly. If you are in snow I gotta say Subaru with asymmetrical AWD and the regular WRX is sensible and the STI is not sensible but faster. In Sweden I thought the Volvo and Saab were made for winter. Lots of top rally drivers come from up there. You must be doing something right 👍.
