    Great video. Always good to see how things get put together if not only for general cleaning and lubrication purposes. A video on chain adjustment would be good to see. Getting it spot on is never easy. Thanks

    Great video, on the newer model 2023 the oxygen sensor is one piece unable to be unplugged directly at the sensor so I ordered and waiting for an oxygen sensor socket to come in to remove. Basically a deep socket with a slice in the side to fit around the sensor but able to go on to the nut. I'm no mechanic so this was something Ive never heard of. Just figured I'd mention for anyone with a newer model. Everything else seems exactly the same!

      @@PropaneTreeFiddy I was unable to find a socket that worked, I attached needle nose vice grips to the sensor at the nut, then used a pair of pliers on the vice grips and broke the sensor loose that way. A little Jerry rigging but that what worked for me and the sensor is totally fine. I successfully installed new exhaust with no issue

    Very good video. Good camera work underneath and through out managing to do the job and still get camera angles showing what you were doing. Some videos all you can see is the persons hands which I get it's difficult to do the job in hand and film. Some times you can't see what they were doing or it's sped up so really you don't learn owt.

    Very instructive and well put together video. Two questions: 1) Did you notice any improvement/change in the gas mileage as a result of the new exhaust system; 2) Can you keep the stock silencer while changing the front pipe? Thanks.

    • @nicksepisode
      @nicksepisode  Рік тому +1

      1. Yes it sounded faster, mpg was the same. 2. You can keep stock silencer and just use the front.

    Glad you replace the aftermarket exhaust with the stock unit :-) ! I like stock myself.
    Just a thought. Wouldn’t you think it better to use “anti-seize” on appropriate threads instead of a grease?

    • @nicksepisode
      @nicksepisode  3 роки тому

      Grease makes a better seal, ive used anti seize grease before and it don't take well to heat. Plus multipurpose grease is easy to get hold of too.

      My 2013 NC700S is grey with the original orange trim on the 'frunk' that I since have painted black.
      And the 2914 NC750S is black with a dark grey trim on the 'frunk' .
      I like black, however it is difficult to keep clean since you see any dust straight away.
      The grey bike 'looks' clean even when it isn't......😬

    I am not mechanically minded in the slightest, but you made that seem doable even for someone like me. I have to say though that I don't see the appeal of aftermarket exhausts. I don't want any extra noise at all, especially with a bike like the NC. I don't see any point in trying to pretend the bike is something that it's not. I am on the lookout for an NC but too many of them have aftermarket exhausts, which is making it harder to find the right bike.
