I have just upgraded my 2022 750x front forks with hyperpro springs, the improvement is amazing. No more crashy fork performance. Love my NC, done nearly 14k in 10 months touring Europe, Scotland and the IoM tt. A great bike.
Great adventure and review of bike. The USB charging can be achieved by putting a pound land £2.50 Auxillary to USB in the Frunk provided auxiliary power socket. Works a treat and no need to convert anything.
I was thinking of getting the Rebel DCT, but after watching this video, maybe the 750x would be better? Having the option to go off-road if needed to see more is always great. Yeah, it's not the best at doing it, but from what I saw, it's good enough.

Very nice review. It's a treat to look at it. You coveted the plus and minus points really well and would be a great help in deciding to go for this bike or not 👍
100% correct, 'probably' best bike on planet for those who have only the one bike and like you, have no idea what to change too cos it can only be downhill! Bye the way, loved the seamless merge from Karakorum to Scootland, brilliant!
Good review and pretty accurate. I do frown on the use of the term of "commuter" when this bike is referenced as a lot of folk use as a term to put the bike down. But quite rightly you set that record straight 👍 The well known biker Chris Moss has one and he thinks it one of the best bikes he has ever owned, the review is on the Knox channel so praise indeed and well worth a viewing. I have an NC and just love it to bits. Nice adventure you been on, great stuff 👍
What a trip dude you're the man... I once crossed Europe on a motorcycle Dover to Aberdeen .... behind the iron curtain ... Paris to Poland , Czechoslovakia, Switzerland south of France and the Netherlands and all the way to Dubrovnik. Bike burned up there which is why I'm looking at this video. On my way to Athens Greece when the bike burned up. Never made it. I know the exact spot where it burned up. Now this gray haired old man is going to finish the trip the young self didn't and take a picture at that spot. Is this the bike to use? Mine was a 650 Yamaha. I like that size range, fuel economy yet can handle the Autobahn. So I am looking at buying this Honda in London and cutting out. So.. if you made it to Pakistan my trip back in time should be a piece of cake. No off roading needed.the gas tank thing may be a killer.. want a big tank... Watched a little bit further after writing this ... the problem with the front forks is concerning.... I don't want to end up broken down on the side of the road again..... the Triumph 850 sport adventure is my other choice... You say?
I keep toying with the idea of getting one. I have a FJR13 at the mo & concerned that the change in weather protection & power might be too much..... Great video by the way😁
Buddy you have a beast of a tourer which has its own unique benefits, but in the long run I have found as I get older the smaller lighter and more agile machines suit me personally as I'm just clocking so many miles. Though there's denying if you want absolute comfort then the fjr1300 is spot on, if your want good comfort and cost affective travel then the nc750x has no competition
Your review, and knowledge of the bike, is great. Probably better than many who have not covered such a mileage in such conditions. Really enjoyed it. I think the NC is desperately under rated and, like the CB500X/650X of years ago is destined to be go down in history as a Swiss Army Knife of motorcycling - jack of all trades, nearly master of some but exceeding most aspects. Sharing and maybe picking up personal thoughts on one or two points... Had a 2018 new for some time, and I' will have another with no complaint. The suspension is sadly lacking but with improvement transforms the bike. I believe the seat complains are often not insufficient padding (although that benefits), but its the slapping of the backside over every bump and pothole that is felt. I was surprised that as you address the 'NC - New Concept' you then proceed to comment on the front compartment or 'frunk' rather than the engine. Surely Honda touted the engine and it's rather radical design for a motorcycle as the NC aspect. The frunk is just a by-product of that and allowed them to rethink tank position.. Popular with most owners and yourself, I am amongst a smaller buy not small group of owners who hate it and /would/ rather have a 'proper' tank. I think part of my frustration is the shape, it doesn't hold most larger helmets and that the whole frontal 'tank' area is plastic (as many bikes, but that's a shame). The frunk is like a Tuppaware box, for me. The frustration of it's backward instead of frontward opening, together with the rear seat filler is just a pain. In a list of relatively costly, negative deficiencies and omissions (like suspension, front and rear, poor seat and others) I'd debate the need for a cheap USB port in that list. Yes, manufacturers could indeed include them for the few pounds they actually cost. Then again, it need only cost that for most owners to add one. Are they necessary unless you are a distance from a mains plug and not crossing continents and 'outback'? Most people aren't far for more than a couple of hours. Using a phone on a bike is very questionable even for satnav. As a commuter or even travelling nationally, charge at home, work or hotel. Besides, the seat will limit most riders travelling far enough to drain the battery in one go. I don't quite tune in to your liking of the parking brake on the DCT. You make it sound like it's valuable device on any bike? Just leave the bike in gear. Whilst on the DCT you can't, even then I may have used mine a couple of times at most. I agree, like most who've ridden DCT enough to understand it, the DCT is amazing. Those who say otherwise have usually not tried it or simply closed in mind. That said, I never quite got over a manual gearbox so bought the foot shift kit for those times I DID want to manually change. That made the bike so versatile and any rider who disses DCT should simply ride with the kit - it turns the bike into the best quick shifter I've ever tried - with the advantage that you can just leave the bike to itself at other times. I'm on a manual bike at the moment and despite my expectations, don't miss DCT as much as I thought. But it does depend on riding requirements and for the vast majority of riding situations, DCT can't be beaten. Performance? The NC is no rocket, but by no means slow for 'sensible' use - deceptively quick in fact. Anyone wanting more performance is probably out enjoying a bike solely for their own pleasure...but at the expense of most others.
Loved your comments and appreciate points that differ from mine, in terms of the seat I have a shad gel seat so alas I never feel bumps or hard surfaces through the seat, infact I have yet to use a standard NC750x seat, so I gues I'm slightly in the wrong as I haven't pointed out the standard is not so good. The frunk for me is a God sent as I do long distance, but I totally agree it's size is impractical for large helmets, plus I too would love if the fuel could have been pumped externally rather than via the raising of the pillion seat. The usb for me is a must as I do cross countries alot but I also appreciate your point of view. It's engine is tough and smooth but not fast and that is appealing to me but not the majority who call this bike slow. I do believe that the DCT allows you to make this bike feel faster if you flick gears accordingly. I have a few bikes but for distance I find this my favourite 👍
@@dumitrunistor5516 hi buddy, I just went to a welder and designed it as I needed to carry luggage on pillion seat but got tired of taking it off every time I filled up, it is a simple design that sits on the passenger rails
i found that after about 45 min of riding, fatigue sets in down there and it's quite uncomfortable. i even upgraded the seats and that helped a little bit but not that much. it's just not that comfortable so i've been considering trading up to a gold wing for maximum comfort :)
I upgraded to a shad gel seat and would stand on pegs occasionally to get circulation going, but I found it ok, all motorcycles will tire you when you do these distances but the journey must go on. Best of luck with a gold wing, that's a lot of bike 👍👍👍
I didn't upgrade mine, it's fine for me but I did change the base link so as to increase the height and ground clearance, this affectively also softened the suspension I felt though It might be just illusion but I did feel it was less tough. Additionally the air pressure recommended in the tyre by honda just makes this bike tough to ride so I go with 34 37 and that's perfect for me.
what a hreat motorcycle, tbh I am about to buy one of those, but Idk if I should get the nc750x or the versys 650, both look great for commuting and doing long touring without being too expensive or too heavy
Hello friend, you can throw v-strom 650 in the mix also for touring, but the NC for me has so many added functions especially the dct model that it has no competition, but the others are close seconds
Yeah my 2 peevees are the refuelling with a load and usb. Pretty nice that a vommuter bike can race. I am pro Honda since having used Honda most of my biking time. Seems nice enough... now for the local price comparison 🤔
Does anyone have any input on if it would be good for long distance touring for 2 people? (Total passenger weight would be 300lbs or so) Everyone is recommending a 1000cc bike but I would like to do it with something smaller and one of these is available close to where I live. Any info is appreciated 👍
I weigh over 200lbs and I was lugging way over 100lbs of luggage, the bike performed exceptionally well, I believe through experience that 300lbs is a weight it can easily handle 👍
How is the bike riding with a passenger. My gf and i are about the same size 5'8 and 140. And im wanting a bike for daily comutting and riding with her to hikes. Love the frunk because its one less helmet we need to carry on a hike
Good review but I don't get the issue with fueling, touring I have a dry bag and if camping tent and stuff but I just release 2 clips and take the bag off. Doesn't take 10 seconds.
Hi Marco, when your on the road for many months crossing many countries you need to carry many items, so I had more than one roll bag and several bungee cords, for me this was necessary but I understand some carry a lot less 👍👍
@@Bykersam I get that, Living in Europe I mostly stay at AirBnBs and just bring a few clothes and riding stuff and buy anything else I need on the way. Hi Leo, to be honest, chain maintenance started with a special silicone spray from Holt's but at the end it was what ever oil I could get my hands on, the complete journey was just under 25,000 miles and 21,000 were on a new DID chain and sprockets, I never had an issue with the new add on, though old chains may need tightening alot more often
As for shaft, I've done Africa on my old gs1150, the shaft offers more peace of mind but a new chain and sprocket set will do the same, I hope that helps 👍
@@Bykersam thanks for taking the time to respond… I’m on the fence between an RT and a GS… OR…. THIS/Rebel as a training tool for the Goldwing. The 750 engine makes this useable on the Hyway. I don’t need to decide until September… But I’ll be riding on roads in central Florida. It’s all very exciting. 😊
@@leoburns9674 hi buddy I have many motorcycles, from muscle bikes to cruisers, to pure adventure bikes to naked sports, the nc I like not because it's a head turner, but because it's a mile cruncher, if you like adventure then the Gs850 is better than the gs1250, the Africa Twin is a head turner but if your mostly on the road then it is over engineered. I would suggest you try a few out as one person's preference maybe be another's nightmare lol - good luck and ride safe 🤲🙏🤲
How does this bike feel cruising about 80mph (129 kmh)? I'd want to be comfortable maintaining the average freeway speed here if I'm going long distance.
It can cruise at that speed but then I feel it would lose one of its main features, fuel efficiency, though if that is not a concern then yes you can keep it at 80mph 👍
@@ionescugeorge2003 to be honest buddy with a 14 litre tank to bone dry, I rode conservatively, my speed did rarely crossed 80mph, mostly 65 to 70, so to answer your question honestly, I don't really know 🤷🏽♂️.
Hi ! Thanks for sharing your amazing experience with us. Astonishing travel .. I am looking to buy a motorbike, I am over 50 .. and I am balancing between NC and Tracer 7 GT... What do you think from your experience ? Thanks in advance for your replay !
The tracer is fast, the nc is sedate, if you go for a dct then you have no option but to go for the nc, for me the dct function makes the nc the most fun and easiest to ride, albeit a days training maybe required to get use to the DCT. If you go for manual them the tracer is more formidable, though the nc has a bigger following and is pretty much bullet proof.
Adding a usb charger and re-routing the gas cap opening to the upper side (e.g. bmw f700gs) would be very inexpensive propositions for Honda. For calling it an adventure bike, the gas cap location loses a lot of potential sales for Honda.
How would you rate the comfort level? I’m assuming it’s pretty comfortable from all your riding but I’d still be interested to know. I got the CB650R last year and despite me getting a custom seat, I still can’t ride more than 2 hours without walking like a cowgirl🤣 so I’ve been eyeing this bike for absolute comfort and long riding. Great vid btw, absolutely lovely scenery!! Makes me want to be there!
Hi Kathryn, so the thing to note is no bike is comfortable after 2 hours, so we have to do a few things to make it bearable, I added a gel seat from Shad which is 100 times better than the original seat, additionally I would stand on the pegs every 30 minutes for around 30 seconds allowing blood circulation to my rear lol this allows you to carry on comfortably for another 30 minutes or so. Of course you need a bike that allows you to stand which most adventure bikes do but sports bikes not necessarily. I hope that helps - stay safe on two wheels 🙏🏼🤲🙏🏼
@@Bykersam haha thanks for the reply! Yeah I got a Bagster seat on mine but the pegs are a lil further back so standing isn’t comfortable. Ill just have to go and try it out!☺️ Cheers!
Very interesting review. Thank you. I have my heart set on this bike, the NC750X dct. However, do you think the bike would be fine for a 6ft 1-inch person?
Good video, thank you. I have the same bike. What tyres have you used on the way to Pakistan/ China border? I assume you had to change them at least 1-2 times during 20k miles route.. Did you buy them locally? Have you planned it upfront or you bought what was available?
just finished my shopping stuff, storage is magnificant. what i dont like is the wheel distance, makes the bike huge to park backwards or make tight u turns bit shitty. and you cant rev bomb with dct :P
Plainly, this is not the appropriate bike for this type of trip. A 'true' adventure bike with a larger tank, more ground clearance and tires with a more aggressive tread would have served you better. But as you stated, the fuel economy helps to make up for the smaller tank.
To be honest and with all due respect, I disagree, having motorcycled over 70 countries and having ridden for 37 years, I say to most, the best bike is the one you are most comfortable riding and comfortable on. Ground clearance when 99.99% of the road is tarmac is a moot point, road tyres are by far the best as you are on the road not off-road. Though the caveat I would add is, each to there own. I agree if you or anybody feels they would prefer a different bike, then that's the beauty of biking, they can pursue there choice. 👍👍👍
To be honest dear brother no, the issue is that by the time I return to the UK I will have covered 47,000km or nearly 30,000miles. Off road is ok if you are doing it for a day or two and have all the means to fix issues that may arise, the distance I travel means I need a bike where maintenance is easy and the desire to do hardcore off road is low, as such terrain comes with the risk of major maintenance or worse still major damage and thus repair.
@@Bykersam yeah I watched those. Honda imported them until 2020 and not DCT. Honda say no plans to bring in NC or and adventure scooters like the 750 adv x. 😕

Very nice review. It's a treat to look at it. You coveted the plus and minus points really well and would be a great help in deciding to go for this bike or not 👍
Thank you dear Abdul Bhai
Nice review... short and precise... loved it ❤️
Thank you dear brother
Great video! I’m on a downsizing journey and maybe this can replace my Goldwing.
It's no goldwing but it's so comfortable to ride and maneuver. Best of luck 👍
100% correct, 'probably' best bike on planet for those who have only the one bike and like you, have no idea what to change too cos it can only be downhill!
Bye the way, loved the seamless merge from Karakorum to Scootland, brilliant!
Lol thank you, 🙂 yes this bike has taken me everywhere
Good review and pretty accurate. I do frown on the use of the term of "commuter" when this bike is referenced as a lot of folk use as a term to put the bike down. But quite rightly you set that record straight 👍 The well known biker Chris Moss has one and he thinks it one of the best bikes he has ever owned, the review is on the Knox channel so praise indeed and well worth a viewing. I have an NC and just love it to bits. Nice adventure you been on, great stuff 👍
Thanks buddy for that great comment, real encouragement 🙏🏼👍
Thank you for this very useful review, I am planning to buy it
Good luck, you won't be disappointed 👍👍👍
You say?
I loved reading your comment, it was so interesting to hear other people's views and experiences, hope to see you on the road one day 👍👍👍
Do have a look at its sisters, the X-ADV and ADV 750, they are different but again, full of Honda brilliance!
My top 3 of this type of bike that I'd love to own are 1)NT1100, 2)NC750X, 3)CB500X
A great selection 🙂
Best and honest review always amazing
Thank you
Love my NC! Great bike for everything!
Totally agree
I rode mine from UK to Russia , around Russia a bit , and back . No problems at all . I love it
Great bike indeed 👍
Thanks for the look!
Thank you for watching
Great review Mate. Love the trunk, the only thing that would frustrate me is the fuel under the seat. The hand brake is a great idea. Take care 😀
I've made a frame so for me now the fuel issue is no more lol
@@Bykersam I saw the frame above the pillion seat, can you give some details for this, please? Thanks
@@dumitrunistor5516 hi buddy, I just went to a welder and designed it as I needed to carry luggage on pillion seat but got tired of taking it off every time I filled up, it is a simple design that sits on the passenger rails
Thank you for shearing.. well done 👍
Thank you for your kind words 🙏
Another informative and interesting video. Keep it up ..
Thank you kind brother ❤️
i am planning to pick one, model 2025 . do you have any advise ? my use is daily commute and often long riding on tarmac in saudi arabia
@@NishadAbdulkhader it's a great bike, just don't over throttle it, it's a cruising commuter not a sports bike or full on adventure bike
i found that after about 45 min of riding, fatigue sets in down there and it's quite uncomfortable. i even upgraded the seats and that helped a little bit but not that much. it's just not that comfortable so i've been considering trading up to a gold wing for maximum comfort :)
I upgraded to a shad gel seat and would stand on pegs occasionally to get circulation going, but I found it ok, all motorcycles will tire you when you do these distances but the journey must go on. Best of luck with a gold wing, that's a lot of bike 👍👍👍
Sceneries are awesome in this vlog. Ride safely to home sir
Thank you veer
These bikes are 100%impressive… I’m just hoping that the new 750 twin adventure does not replace the NC format.
Also….. well done on such a massive trip.
I'm pretty sure the nc750x is here to stay as it's the only company (Honda) to think outside the box as it has especially with the DCT function
Cheers buddy, though parts of me are crying out 'NOOOOO' ☺️😉
Interested in how you made the elevated rack to access the fuel tank. I'm wondering what mounting points were used. Great NC750X video.
It was just a design I made and then placed on the pillion hand rails and bolted it so it could not move
On a normal bike you can park on a hill easily by just leaving it in gear. The handbrake is needed because you can’t leave the DCT in gear.
Yes buddy I know I mentioned that in the video I believe but it is part of the new concept as it only results due to the ingenious DCT 👍
Na minha NC750X DCT, adaptei o protetor de amortecedor traseiro da CRF 250 ou pode ser da XRE 300
Thank you
Great looking bike!! Surely, this is unique!!
Thank you, and yes I think so
Great VDO. What cam are u using please ?
@@play-up-pompey hi buddy I'm still using a GoPro 7 and my phone camera
That's definitely great and awesome adventures bike brother.
Thank you brother
I see these MPG demonstrations. Is there a difference in volume between between freedom units gallon and common sense gallon?
I think when riding on two wheels it's all freedom ☺️
Great review, but man... the music is GRAVE! :)
I know lol, I'll try better next time 😉
What are your suggestions on an effective suspension upgrade please?
I didn't upgrade mine, it's fine for me but I did change the base link so as to increase the height and ground clearance, this affectively also softened the suspension I felt though It might be just illusion but I did feel it was less tough. Additionally the air pressure recommended in the tyre by honda just makes this bike tough to ride so I go with 34 37 and that's perfect for me.
I am thinking about getting one of these.
You won't regret it 👍
@@Bykersam don't know which one the nc750 s or the x
@@neilwiddison6529 for me the X is more versatile
what a hreat motorcycle, tbh I am about to buy one of those, but Idk if I should get the nc750x or the versys 650, both look great for commuting and doing long touring without being too expensive or too heavy
Thank you buddy yes Honda is a true leader
Chopin's Funeral March for the specs section? There must be something more jolly.
20,000 miles on a bike over 2 months is not jolly lol 😂😂😂😂
Does anyone have any input on if it would be good for long distance touring for 2 people? (Total passenger weight would be 300lbs or so)
Everyone is recommending a 1000cc bike but I would like to do it with something smaller and one of these is available close to where I live.
It's not a speed demon but it's so so comfortable, I think you won't have regrets 👍
My tours are not more than 2 weeks as my vacation days allow. Planning Germany>Austria, Hungary>Slovakia>Poland>Czech home for the next ride once Winter is over.
@@GER308 yes buddy in such cases I too don't carry anything on my pillion seat as the panniers and top box are sufficient 👍
Where were you riding around 4:00and around 7:00? Looks amazing.
It's a mixture, Scotland & Pakistan
I prefer low ceneter of gravity over of inconvenience of taking the luggage of the seat in 3-400 km
I totally understand, but it all depends on where you are going and how long you are away from home
Probably should be pointed out that this applies to pre 21 bikes as the model change lowered the ground clearance of the bike.
Thanks for that share 👍
I am returning tomorrow, on 2023 nc 750 xd..... Now I can't sleep.....
Lol 👍
And what is adventure?
It is relative to your personal thoughts I feel 👍
Can you comment on chain maintenance, operator approach? (I was thinking of shaft)… was it a challenge for you in your travels? Great video!
I'm planning to buy this as my first bike, I don't know how good of a choice to buy a dct as a first bike is thou
It makes life alot easier and it is a love or hate scenario for some but for me it's fun and makes riding so much easier, best of luck buddy 👍
@@Bykersam i had a maxi scooter before so I'm used to that.
@@Bykersamwhat is the fuel consumption at 80mph ?
@@ionescugeorge2003 to be honest buddy with a 14 litre tank to bone dry, I rode conservatively, my speed did rarely crossed 80mph, mostly 65 to 70, so to answer your question honestly, I don't really know 🤷🏽♂️.
An Amaizing content my dear👌🏻

Thank you
Loved my nc but hated dct. Sold it because of that..my 2021 was defo not slow in sport mode
I love the DCT so much I changed my Africa Twin from manual to DCT, but I understand some prefer manual 👍👍👍
I totally agree, I thought I was being overly critical but I'm glad others see it this way too 👍
How would you rate the comfort level?
Ill just have to go and try it out!☺️
Cheers!
@@Bykersam 100% agree and I've ridden them all trying to find the elusive comfortable bike seat. Ability to stand turns out to be the key for me.
Lovely review by the way what do you think the bike would be like with 20st rider. Thanks
I think the bike would have no issues, with all the weight I add and being 16st myself, 20st wouldn't make a difference. Good luck 👍
@@Bykersam Hi thanks for speedy reply definitely could be next bike.
Very interesting review. Thank you. I have my heart set on this bike, the NC750X dct.
However, do you think the bike would be fine for a 6ft 1-inch person?
I can't give you a conclusive answer buddy but I'm 6 foot and I never found it small
Try the X-ADV then, I'm taller but there is always somewhere to put the legs, so relaxing!
Good video, thank you. I have the same bike. What tyres have you used on the way to Pakistan/ China border? I assume you had to change them at least 1-2 times during 20k miles route.. Did you buy them locally? Have you planned it upfront or you bought what was available?
Hello the tyres I purchased in Turkey and I was very impressed with the quality
just finished my shopping stuff, storage is magnificant.
what i dont like is the wheel distance, makes the bike huge to park backwards or make tight u turns bit shitty. and you cant rev bomb with dct :P
Definitely can't rev bomb dct, though I've tried with both breaks on and it still doesn't work lol
Why not just remove the rear seat when carrying luggage?
It's more about the fuel cap then the seat, the alteration was awesome for me.
Great review Ikram. Sounds like a great bike but I'm assuming that you would prefer your Africa Twin for off-road terrain?
To be honest dear brother no, the issue is that by the time I return to the UK I will have covered 47,000km or nearly 30,000miles. Off road is ok if you are doing it for a day or two and have all the means to fix issues that may arise, the distance I travel means I need a bike where maintenance is easy and the desire to do hardcore off road is low, as such terrain comes with the risk of major maintenance or worse still major damage and thus repair.
Agreed about USB ports. 👊👍
I thought I was the only one lol ☺️😉👍
I want one but Honda don't bring them into Australia
I think there is a chap that makes great videos of the nc750x who is Australian, maybe his bike is an import. Best of luck with your search
