- Welcome to TomFM! In today's Football Manager 2021 Experiment video we have a competition between Dulwich Hamlet and York City. I've given York £1 Billion to see if they can get to the top of English Football whilst giving Dulwich the perfect shell (top facilities and stadium) to see if money really is everything in Football! This FM21 experiment is something slightly different to the usual!

As a York City fan I can say this would be 100% accurate

I think the main factor in this is that Dulwich gets probably more then 1 million per home game. And since that money is business turnover they can use it all while York can't use the full 1 billion due to FFP rules.
Sounds like a good video in the mix with the 3, perfect rep, perfect facilities and £1 billion
Maybe next time, one team full rep, one with the money, no rep change, and the last one with the perfect shell.
The perfect shell would still win, they would get a million after every home game, which is more than what they could ever spend

@@belagajdan why would he do that? In non league it's hard to fill a 5000 seater stadium, if they got to the championship they'd be rolling in cash, but it would be interesting to see if they could get there.

Maybe should have left Dulwich stadium and reputation the same, I think it would have been more interesting

The perfect shell or perfect reputation with perfect facilities is proven to be much better than the club with 1 billion pounds. So what is the most important for the clubs right now is reputation so that the best players in the world will be attracted to join that club. This is a good lesson and worth a like in this video.
You should also edit the clubs scouting range, if it's set to local or even regional who can the ai find? Set it world wide then watch them spend
Bit late to the party and I know probably too late but I enjoyed this video. How about a role reversal? Dulwich get the money York get stadium etc
Seems a bit buggy. Dulwich shouldn't have been selling out their stadium due to the reputation of the league they in, regardless of their own reputation as a club.
He set it to min attentance of 150000, that's why
@@tomdan1995 but they also had many games where attendance fell below 150k
You can give a club 1 billion, but if your chairman is tight with money and the club is not ambitious, the money won't be a factor

It just comes down to how the AI views money.
If it has income then it spends it on wages.
If it has a bank account then it does not spend unless it really has to.
So a stadium is worth 10000x any money you put into their bank account, because it is income and therefore balances the books if they spend it on wages.

Definitely need to try again with a few different tweaks.
First same premise, but don't change anything reputation.
Second same premise, but max both reputations.
Third, one team billion pounds, one team perfect reputation, one team perfect shell, one team with perfect first eleven players but prevent them from leaving by setting future transfers in Far Far future.
What section do you edit the transfer budget etc

Got to this a bit late -- the Hamlet and York City were my two favorite English clubs to play in FM21
I can’t believe my eyes Dongda He, he was my top goal scorer in the Chinese super league in my last years journeyman save.
The issue will be the wage cap in league two. It only applies to new players on contract who are over the age of 21. Players under 21 and existing contracted players are exempt. York can only sign young players in excess of their wage cap and their reputation doesn’t allow them to do it. Dulwich produced their own players who were much better than league 1 and 2 standard who would also be exempt from the wage gap, thus enabling them to be promoted to the championship and above where there are no such sanctions in place.

I did a 20 year save of Mons Calpe in FM20. Still don't know why, Gibraltar isn't the most exciting place to play football lmao

York didn't have a Sugar Daddy so I'm assuming the chairman won't allow them to spend basically any of the money.
Hey Tom it’s Tom any chance of a Gibraltarian/Scottish Experiment as in your Lincoln Red Imps save you took them to Spain take Lincoln red Imps and the worst team in Gibraltar and add them into the Scottish premiership with the other 10-12 Scottish teams so make the league like 14 teams and make rangers and Celtic and the Gibraltar 2 exactly the same I.E stadiums ish the same size as Ibrox and Celtic park, all 4 teams with the highest transfer budget and wage budget of either rangers or Celtic whoever’s got the most money at the start of the game - Celtic probs, all 4 same rep youth facility’s etc
But don’t change the two Gibraltarian teams players
So in short 4 identical teams and see if either Lincoln or the worst team can ever beat

Every save I have starts with Dulwich or York FC, very curious
Do a youth training team, billionaire team, facilities team, and put those all on the same rep, then do a reputation only team with max reputation

So I'm guessing reputation is harder to grow this year? They may of just never been able to sign the quality to take advantage of the money
I would be fascinated if you reversed the upgrades. York gets the rep and facilities while dulwhich gets the money.

stadium capacity is almost same with giving money, they gain so much money every match. Maybe more than a billion in the long run
They obviously also get's a lot of money from their stadium, which is why they can also spend big
York with a billion dollars is a lot like a mule with a spinning wheel. No one knows how he got it and danged if he knows how to use it.

Need to holiday, he's just saved at the end of seasons so is able to load each save

Try 1 billion and contract an good sportive director, I think the sportive director is who made the diference

Looks buggy to me. Surely the league(s) rep should’ve restricted them to smaller attendances, thus preventing the runaway spending on wages.

Dulwich, after becoming a rich team, don't need to obey any pay-cap rules. Ask any ManCity/Chelski supporter.
