To be honest with you I always thought this was well known. When players feel good, they are more likely to play at their best, and unsurprisingly when they feel poorly, they don't often perform. The exception are those players who are determined to prove the manager wrong. They are more rare in game, but they love a combative manager.
Swap the squads of the prem and national league and see whether the prem teams can rebuild with an awful squad in time to avoid dropping quickly and whether National league sides can rise quick enough to avoid losing their best players on a free (either by using the talented players or the sales of Said players)
Pretty funny that his biggest success came from managing Tottenham the club he "manages" in the NBC Sports commercials which was the origination of the character
I think what this really shows is how overpowered the motivator archetype of manager is. Doesn't matter if the team is only OK, their morale is the best in the league.
This is so strange... I suppose because he is so bad at the minor aspects, those simply get delegated to more capable people whereas a perfect manager might do everything at once and gets spread too thin. Highly speculative how the game deals with it for real, though.
It is just that at a large club your actual ability to coach is second to your ability to manage a team. Coaching ability only matters in smaller leagues where you might be one of two or three coaches.
Really exited that Gladbach won the DFB-Pokal 2 times. I know its just a simulation but still very exited to see my favorite Team finally win someting again
When he won the UCL with Spurs, then won the Europa League with City, did he win them in succession, so he wins the UCL, joins City and wins the UEL days later???...if so, that would be some achievement winning UEFAs top 2 club trophies within days
Here's a suggestion for you, bring back some legends in game, Pele, Maradona, Best etc. starting at their first clubs if they still exist as wonderkids, as many as you like but only one legend per country, and see how they do Thanks
Got an idea... You should swap the top 5 leagues tv deals, give it to the bottom 5 leagues and give the top 5 leagues a paltry tv deal and see how long it takes for the bottom 5 to rise up and see how far the top 5 can fall from grace
Unless I've missed one. Should do a video where Barca have a manager 20 rated in every mental stat 1 in every coaching stat and 10 in every neutral attribute. Then Madrid vice versa
Hi mate! Nice video, is a "1 Billion TV Deal for NB I (Hungarian league)" is planned or possible in the near future? After Ferencváros reached the first Hungarian Knock out Stage in the modern era (sadly knocked out by Bayer Leverkusen in a 0:4 agg).
You should create an alphabet league. Every letter gets 10 teams (the 10 with the highest reputation), at the end of the season every letters fight in a tournament for the playoffs.
I just spotted on on the Hall of Fame that you've made Ted Lasso an Englishman instead of an American - I wonder if nationality affects his reputation?
Ted Lasso the miracle worker! Everywhere he went, he won.
Literally a footballing genius!
He even won a trophy with us tottenham
"Veni, vidi, vici"
I like how of all the teams, he moved to Tottenham. In the original NBC ads the show is based on, that's the team he managed.
I didn't know that! Works out even better then!
He’s so good he made Tottenham look like an actual team
😂😅😢 - Tottenham fan
Football Manager is a Morale Simulator, and not a Football Simulator, confirmed. Thanks for the good work, Tom.
I assume the quality of the assistant manager's football knowledge always has a role to play with the AI.

Fitting that ted lasso makes spurs amazing, considering thats where the character was made
Why does this feel like how the show could potentially play out? Great save, man!
Swap the squads of the prem and national league and see whether the prem teams can rebuild with an awful squad in time to avoid dropping quickly and whether National league sides can rise quick enough to avoid losing their best players on a free (either by using the talented players or the sales of Said players)
Already done that one I believe
@@jamesshone1677 he swapped the teams previously he is talking about swapping just players

Motherwell legend Ted Lasso, never thought I'd see that. I think his optimism would be tested up here tbh.
It makes sense that by highlighting the motivation attribute he win many cups, more than leagues
You need to send this to the producers and we need to see this on the future seasons. Top work fella Tom!!
That is by far the craziest simulated career you have done
He’s a Tottenham legend!
Fitting he went to Tottenham, given the origins of Ted Lasso
You know a manager is good when he wins tottenham a singular trophy (Im a spurs fan)
This is so strange... I suppose because he is so bad at the minor aspects, those simply get delegated to more capable people whereas a perfect manager might do everything at once and gets spread too thin. Highly speculative how the game deals with it for real, though.

Seeing Matias Almeyda managing PSG is hilarious, after seeing him get sacked from our MLS club last season
Having an excellent season so far in greece
Really exited that Gladbach won the DFB-Pokal 2 times. I know its just a simulation but still very exited to see my favorite Team finally win someting again
You are by far the best FM youtuber
You are far too kind, thank you!

I'm glad Ted didn't get sacked from Spurs within an hour and then go to Lech-ester this time 😂
How did Ted go this insane 🤣
Here's a suggestion for you, bring back some legends in game, Pele, Maradona, Best etc. starting at their first clubs if they still exist as wonderkids, as many as you like but only one legend per country, and see how they do
Thanks
As a spurs fan i am so happy with this XDD
I played in the Motherwell.I love this team. I was champion Scotland League
Only Ted Lasso can win Tottenham trophies 😂😂
Wasn't expecting him to go to Scotland
ted loves a cup competition
Got an idea...

I know who would love these video. Omega Dad. Interesting experiment, Tom
christ hes made tottenham more successful in this video than their entire history... kill it now, we cant let it breed.
Ted pulled off the biggest miracle of all by winning trophies with Tottenham
Let’s go Wimbledon
Ted Lasso actually managed to break Tottenham 👀
are we supposed to just ignore how drippy you look 🥶🥶
Ted Lasso GOATed
Got a ted lasso ad before the video started 😂
Superb 😂
Just out of curiosity Tom how long does a season take to sim?
10-20 minutes
Those first two seasons are prime lasso drama
Tom FM never misses
Motherwell falling at the first hurdle in Europe
The attention to detail in this game is uncanny 😂
The previous manager to Ted at Spurs is a remembered River Plate player
And Chivas manager
His career at Tottenham was the greatest moment of my life. \
How do you create a manager like that and choose their stats in fm24
Amazing video
American manager jumping to Bundesliga?
That tracks.
If he can make Tottenham win PL and UCL, he might as well be better than Jose Mourinho.
what skins do you use
Any chance you could tell me how you added him?
7:42 this prem table is so fucked up
Bro’s got the loyalty of my ex 😅
Tom I've had Lincoln to score over 1.5 goals today at 2/1, what do you think?
Last time we scored more than 1 goal in a game at home in the league was November. I think you might have lost your money 😂
@@TomFM I think you may be right mate!
When’s the next Lincoln?
You know hes the goat, beacuse he won a trophy at tottenham 😂
please become our manager ted
So just put all the attributes into mental stats?
Impressive!
As a Spurs fan, can we have Ted be our manager irl please?
Ted is getting passed around like a spliff
Not making afc Richmond in game is criminal
How do you do it?
Tom pls can you make a video about giving £1 billion tv deal to Albania because the league is very competitive
Can you do a video with derby county
Maybe mentality on FM is more important as a manager
Unless I've missed one. Should do a video where Barca have a manager 20 rated in every mental stat 1 in every coaching stat and 10 in every neutral attribute. Then Madrid vice versa
What about career for the any football-player (no-name) from Central Asia. I think it will so interesting😅😅😅
Hi mate! Nice video, is a "1 Billion TV Deal for NB I (Hungarian league)" is planned or possible in the near future? After Ferencváros reached the first Hungarian Knock out Stage in the modern era (sadly knocked out by Bayer Leverkusen in a 0:4 agg).
ez jó lenne
he should of started at spurs because the the original Ted Lasso was in Spurs
Sooooo.... For Tottenham to win another trophy they need to employ a fictional American Football coach?
It's gonna be a long wait.... 🤦
I'm so sorry to all Spurs fans out there...
That is just sad. I never leave a club unless sacked.
sergio agüero park interesting
Hi people
Tottenham got annoyed with people calling them trophyless
You should create an alphabet league.

Will Still career simulation
This was all well and good until @9:38 we see you made Ted Lasso English!
Lincoln Loco season 9
Spurs fans seeing this: HIRE THAT AMERICAN RIGHT NOW
Only Tom made him English! 🤦♂️
as a gillingham fan only 50 seconds in and i arleady hate ted lasso as a person
Matias Almeyda was successful with a club????? SJ Earthquakes fans will know what i'm talking about
Interesting
Conte out... Hire Lasso
Spoiler
Ted lasso saves the world from a meteor strike in s3
I want to play fm22 Tom
EVERYONE MOVES TO TOTTENHAM!
yo
I just spotted on on the Hall of Fame that you've made Ted Lasso an Englishman instead of an American - I wonder if nationality affects his reputation?
S o your telling me you only need a good personality that's not what she said
Why is he English?
7:15 Because it's Tottenham.
created what?
why is Ted english? hahha
Im verry dissapointet over the fact that you made Ted Lassos nationality English.
I didn't! You'll notice at points in the video his birth place is Wichita in Kansas, but for whatever reason the game puts him down as English
@@TomFM Ohhh.... My bad.. sorry
Hahaha no need to apologise, I didn't notice it until editing but it is odd!
Disliked because he went to Tottenham
omg this is so stupid spurs will never win the league!
I cannot believe Motherwell has made a thumbnail 🙏🙏 our biggest W this season
There's always next season...
