Sigma makes such great lenses. I would love to see zv-e10 + 13mm Viltrox, vs full frame + sigma 20mm. The Viltrox 13mm is clearly made by Viltrox as an answer to the full frame 20mm, which has become so popular lately.

Best camera I’ve ever used 👍
It always sucked not being able to put an ND on the front of the EF version. The RF to EF VND adapter helped me on the R5, but I always hated when you didn’t want the ND anymore, there was just a big hole in the side of the adapter right next to the sensor… kind of annoying. Sadly this isn’t an RF lens also, canon needs to open that mount up! I am excited to get it for my A7IV though. Definitely happy they changed that filter issue and the price is great! Fantastic video as usual!

I'm not sure if you've had any exposure to some of the Batis lenses, but I was just about to buy the Batis 18 2.8. Now that I'm seeing this, and it being considerably cheaper, you may have just saved me a not insignificant chunk of change!
baits make great lenses. But Sigma does too. and this is an 1.4. Sigma Art is about as good as it gets

Hey Mark, absolutely love your videos! I was wondering for APsc cameras you have to multiply the crop factor for the aperture as well? For example for the sigma 30mm f1.4, would be the equivalent of a 45mm full frame size, so would the f1.4 change or remain constant at 1.4?

so the sigma 30mm f1.4 would be the full frame equivalent of 45mm and a depth of field (blurry background) of an f2.1.
BUT in terms of LIGHT - it is the same 1.4.
A 1.4 is the same in terms of brightness on any sensor.

hey, can you give me advice? what camera should i get for asmr videos? and what specs are important for it?
any camera will do because it’s the mic that’s important. probably go with an ZV-E10 because it has great autofocus and no record limit and great 4K.

start with the lens that comes with it first. it’s only a small cost and it will help you figure out which focal length you need for your work. the 16mm f1.4 from Sigma is a

It will work great on the zv-e10. It will have the full frame look is a 30mm
In your opinion since you've dealt with each lenses / is the 16 mm sigma on zve10 produce the same video , image quality as the 20 mm or the money that your paying more worth it ....

this lens would be perfect for both of those. It will be wide though, so you won’t be getting concert “close-ups”

Love my sigma lense! But I am here to ask a totally unrelated question lol I have a Sony a7iii for wedding videography. I used a dji ronin sc to shoot with all day. I don’t know if my camera was too heavy for it or what, but I was having all sorts of problems. Do you think the ronin sc2 would be better since it’s supposed to handle more weight? I don’t see my camera listed on the compatibility list unless I just keep overlooking it.
can’t be sure about the ronin - but I tested the Weebil 3 from Zhiyun and loved it. That might be able to handle it - check the specs on that one - here’s the vid I did ua-cam.com/video/eu0EeH7o8pw/v-deo.html

Hi handsome, what variable ND are you using ya? Just wondering if shooting at wide f1.4, how many stops do we need to get iso100 shutter 1/50 at normal bright daylight?
to get to I.4 in bright daylight - you’ll need a 5-9 stop variable nd likely. I used these in the vids amzn.to/3QyMQYe
but you can get a good one from kandf that is not a kit for cheaper but not quite as good amzn.to/3BsZiEp

How is this compared to the 16mm 1.4 sigma contemporary?
The Sigma 16 is the best value lens I’ve ever seen for apsc. But it gives you a field of view of about 24mm full frame equivalent. this 20 is also a great value for full frame.
