I know many people, specifically in the sbang community who grind Liftoff to learn new lines. Like, on an empty map (The Grass in most cases) and then simply do a trick over and over and over. I'm sure by now many people know this but sim skills translate to real life skills (despite the floatiness) and pilots like Marius, Farouk and auxplumes all have well over 1000 hours in these sims.
I seriously admire Joshua’s dedication to this hobby. I flew for 2 years and literally got bored. Still haven’t flown in almost 2 years, but still love to follow the hobby. Being an automation engineer, the tech is fun to follow. Flying has been trumped by having a now 3 year old I suppose lol
I got into it right before COVID and when they started to tell everyone to avoid gatherings everyone started crowding all the parks I flew at. Just now getting back into it and loving it
First, nice work on your SBANG progress. Second, THE JBF7 V2 IS SO WONDERFUL!!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR CREATING TOP-SHELF PRODUCTS!!! Hands down the most inclusive, high-quality, and user friendly flight controller I have ever bought. Absolutely will not ever waste a penny on a different one unless the drone is too small to accommodate the JBF7 V2. I would literally hug you if you were here. Thanks again!
It's really interesting to see you 'rote learning' a flight style. Something that might be intuitive for me is a learned skill that others have to develop, and seeing the progression in the video is quite incredible. Like you said at the end, there's these moments of greatness where the method clicks, and it all makes sense - the mind and muscle connection is established. I'm keen to see more of this ;)
Joshua thank you so much for showing the world what sbang is and really give the technical and style of the pilots emphasis on this whole series. You already have earned our hearts and you now have the sbang sbang approved sticker. Keep well mate.
Can see the style starting to come out while your cruising around toward the end of the video, expressing ya self as you say, good work, many pilots make things look so easy, true what you say about learning different skills and bring them together in many ways
A big wide open field helps . . .and just like heli pilots say "LOWER!!!"😆 . . .i also get dizzy and crash into the ground😝 Great series Josh. I cant wait for further videos in youre Sbang adventure!!!
When I learn new tricks I of course first try to copy them and reapeat a lot. Then they can be integrated into my style (if I have any). Your approach here is more of exploring a certain feel, if I don't get you wrong. Then it makes more sense to copy a whole sequence and try to figure out what makes it feel a certain way. Anyway, nice that you thought about what I wrote. It wasn't ment to be criticism, just my perspective on learning.
Love these videos. Seeing the progression through the entirety of the video is really great. It’s a side of FPV I think is often overlooked. Great work!
Your awesome bro thanks for everything you’ve done I’m in the same boat as you trying to get out of doing the same stuff and your opening the horizon and helped me break out of my comfort zone. Thanks a lot .
Fantastic flying, Joshua! Keep training!!! 😃 You should look at Bacon Ninja FPV. He always puts the stick overlay! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I always assumed a tuned to the edge I-gain was a fundamental property of this flight style, helping to facilitate the on-a-dime maneuvering that’s so evident in sbang.
This is a great series, i am very much a beginner but it gives a lot of inspiration to fly and try. I am still practicing the trick combo from last episode, but i am having great fun practicing! Lipos are charged, time to fly!
This video reminds me of one you made years ago I think the thumbnail said "spice up your lines" or something. But my style is a hybrid "Bardwell style" with a little sbang flavor. And I got that from you when you said "to turn right, go yaw 720 left. And that opened my eyes to the beauty of yawwwwwwww. Yaw>inverts 😘
@FishfaceFPV sure. Everyone does. Sometimes just flying around doing basic tricks and crashing is a style too 😉. We all have a specific way we tend to fly, some are more unique than others. Iv been doing this 6 years. While I'm certainly not the best pilot, I think I have my own flavor.
A suggestion for the next video is to playback a pilots example is a slower speed to study the movement, especially if you can find one with stick cam.
Hi! Could I get some advice about what motors should I use for a 3" freestye build (about 210grams with action camera)? My options are: 1804 3500KV, 1507 3800KV, 1404 4000KV motors. I am looking for freestyle-ability, and flight time. If you were me, what would you choose? I have 450mah 4s lipos, but I plan on buying some 650mah ones.
I think the flow of sbang moves comes from a sense of rythym that can't be done in a flow without music. I know it would be hard to get a tutorial video not claimed if you did, but DO TRY it while doing sbang drills.
@@Tensentities Damn it, Chappy, I'm doing it my way! ... lol You're probably right, but, I find it helps me to get "Get into a flowstate"... To each thier own.
i think the quad need to be enchanged into like some sbang PID,,because in the video the is too smooth like intended for flows style,,,not yet fast&snappy¬ yet have some ability to fast breaking torq/ suden stop in the air
R U READY. Ready for REMOTE ID that is. OH about that Part 107 Certificate U need to post to U-Tubby (If they pay U). What about the record keeping. The annual Inspections and Preflight Post Flight and Flight Plans you'll need to keep/file. Maybe they should send them 87000 new IRS agents to the FAA. Their gona need'm.

It will come back, don't sorry worry. And if it's not don't worry as well, it's supposed to be fun and if it's not, something else maybe is 👍
I took 4years out n just bought all my gear again
Been out for 4 as well just had a baby as well lol but we are still flighing just gotta find time for yourself sometimes
You will be back, been there.
I got into it right before COVID and when they started to tell everyone to avoid gatherings everyone started crowding all the parks I flew at. Just now getting back into it and loving it
Excellent moves on the last chapter!!
Joshua your flying is getting so much better!! Great work!!

Love seeing your process😁. Your growing and so are we, much love.😄
Thanks so much for all your tutorials and everything! Eve. Answering my stupid beginner emails 🤣 signing up for your patreon right now!

I’m learning this aswell, thanks for all of the help,
Great job bro! Keep it up!
Marius is the best
Really cool! Thanks for sharing!❤#stayepic

Changing the style of flying you normally fly is like relearning to fly all over again 😉🤙
A big wide open field helps . . .and just like heli pilots say "LOWER!!!"😆 . . .i also get dizzy and crash into the ground😝 Great series Josh. I cant wait for further videos in youre Sbang adventure!!!
This is awesome JB I’m learning with ya brother. Definitely do more of these types of videos. You rock 🤘🏻🫵🏻
These tutorials are really great. I learn from watching you learn. Thank you brother for all you do!

goytta say ive gonna try as well, my time is a lot more limited, but when ever i get some time, i wanna try to follow your example! well done!
I’m diggin it Joshua! I’m trying to mix a few of these tricks in with my own freestyle.
Wow it really is awesome to watch u progress. I would of crashed my quad and been rebuilding it. The fact u haven't is amazing. Keep it up bardwell

Getting there JB👍
Eighth! 30 mins. Now to watch and enjoy!
Shang is controlled chaos and its amazing

I notice this had props rotating inward, this make a difference with sbang? I fly out usually.
You got this! 😁👍
Marius fpv is the goat ❤

Might help with some sbang motors the vroom are one of the smothest motors with plenty of bang

I'd go with the 1507
Thanks!🙂
Play sbang footage at 0.25x speed and you will see what they are doing. To me sbang isn't mainly the moves, its the constant speed of the rates.
It occurs to me that sbang is to flying what soul is to singing or dancing. Joshua starting to feel it!
Awesomeness

At 9.09 there is a cut. coud it be that there was a crash?👀
Here we go again🚀🚀🚀

SITP/DC is the new genre... Stir In The Pan... DC is just a way of financing the crashing... Dad's Credit card...😆
Hey I have a question could you help?
It'd be better to email me if you want to have a conversation. Jb@joshuabardwell.com
OK I just emailed you
It’s all momentum.
Sbang a rang
Night ✈️🛫 Sofia Tech Park, Analog video, because I want to ⌚
Next summer I will be flying there hopefully, my uncle lives up the hill overlooking the city.
practice barrel rolls...and then try do it slow as possible.
Have you watched Headmazta his teaching style is sticks and explanations.. like your show style but with flying
Gotta learn the scales before you can play the concertos
dropped 3 minutes ago and I'm 3rd to comment?
