It's almost disrespectful that Meshuggah themselves haven't made a comment on this video.
If meshuggah listens to this, then I feel it only makes sense to collaborate with this guy on the newest album.
Thanks Fred (-:
@01:09 Me at every Meshuggah concert I go to when there’s a split second of silence.
He be spitting straight facts right here ngl
As a metalhead who grew up learning and performing Carnatic music, this is right up my alley
Classical musician here and I must say I couldn’t approve more.
Why can I only like this once
There is nothing more impressive to me than improvising over meshuggahs music. Incredible.
Criminally few views on this masterpiece
This is awesome. And 1:10 makes me laugh every damn time.
😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Brutal 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha it's the pause before that makes it extra funny
😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Make it look like he can LITERALLY sing like that in his sleep
I KNEW IT!!!!!
It DJENTS!!!
I feel like manjunath and Car Bomb would fit together even better...
The fact that these fucking guys aren't going off charts is fucking INCREDIBLE. Absolutely BRILLIANT arrangement for a cover - a true tribute giving back some of that inspiration 🤙

David Bruce sent me here
Your videos always make me smile, especially when it comes to covers like these. Thank you for sharing your mastery to the UA-cam universe!
PLS!!! bring more of this I BEG YOU!! It amazes me every time more and more. I listen to it every week and enjoy it as the first time. I would do anything to help just continue with this project hahaha
This makes perfect sense. Of course you'd be able to do this. I understand the song way better now.
nice Jens face at the end XDDDDDDDDDD
AMAZING
I can't describe how much I love this
Suddenly this came up in my mind, i searched and i found....cool !
I need to see this band live
Awesome, I knew this was going to happen hahah!
I love this so much. Thank you! For you to do a cover of a Meshuggah song must be like John Coltrane improvising over a blues progression haha.
Actually, Coltrane did improvise over blues progressions. Often. But, yeah it get your point.
@@mickeyrube6623 I was just thinking of a cutesy way of saying 'really easy'.
Indian meshuggah😲😲😲🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍
Wow, just wow. Incredible musicianship.
Wow thats Amazing
So cool how you reimagined the guitar lead section. Unbelievable that I am just finding this now. Incredible!
Need to listen to it at least once a day
I put this on half speed and it was still mind-blowingly fast and precise.
I read the description, asking the classical musicians stay away had no point, they would have run away anyway :-p
The “AYE” at the 1:10 mark was awesome 🏆
This is fucking awesome!
The guy scatting is my inspiration 😂😂
That's insanely lit
This is pure joy on top of the mechanical nature of Meshuggah.
Absolutely wonderful!!
1:08 that's awesome!!!!!!!!
One of the best fusion thing I heard.// Really impressive!
all underneath
"taka dhimi taka jhunu"
;)
Maaaaaaaaaan I fucking love this, SO GOOD :D
Been waiting for something like this. Never thought you'd do it though! Great collab and killer grooves over the song man. Inspirational as ever.
I love this so much 🥰
Really inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing. Rythmic is music, music is rythmic. You transcend both.
Oh my various gods. ❤ of all the things I wasn’t expecting to hear today… so good
Manjunath BC is a living legend. ❤️
All my favorite things in one place. I can't believe it!
Amazing!)
This
Was mind blowing
Wonderful and inspiring! Love it!!
A small follow-up: I used this to show my students the influence of Indian math and music tradition on Western music. 😃
this is so awesome that i wanna cry
This is so sick
I'm in love. Please do MORE of this with Meshuggah songs!!! :D
My tongue hurts just watching this, but in a groovy way. Nice job great cover !
This is completely new lev of your vids, we need more of them!
Absolutely brilliant!
The shrinking beats. I get it. They shrink, the beat grows and flows and shrinks again. So dank
Fucking sick and amazing version
Genios!
Why have I not seen this before?!?!? Brilliant.
This is amazing! I just have no words to explain how cool this is. 🤘
Absolute groove! 👍☺️
This is an interesting take of the song. I quite enjoy it.
Fucking beast! 🤘🤘🤘
The memorization falls away when you get it.
Now this is what I call MESHUGGAH
Ukri Suvilehto you just got banned from Meshuggah 😜
This is amazing ♥️
This is SOO AWESOME!!!!!!
EDIT: This is not a cover though... it is an interpretation. A very, very, well done one. SO COOL!!
It is a cover
They are playing the same thing as the studio version of the song
@@DonjiPicudo No they are not. That is why this is an interpretation. There are many things wrong with this interpretation to be a cover. At 1:36 they are doing something completely different from the original song. Also, the drummer isn't doing what Thomas Haake does on the snare-patterns.

Just listen to and watch the original... Even the creators of this video states it is the Konnakkol Version. They aren't even trying to mimic Meshuggah, which what the word "cover" is all about.
The word "cover" for me is when you or a band tries to mimic and perform someone elses music to the point where you can't hear the difference other than tone. If you do not do that, it is an interpretation, not a cover.
This is one of the better guitarcovers of Born in Dissonance...

ARRRGHHHH MY GOD this is so good!!!!!!
My man Yogev crushing the skins as usual
1:09 is like a pinch harmonic in konnakkol i am guessing lol

Hahaha it is really funny! Cooool!
This is exactly what I needed! I'd love to know the compositional sequence (vocals first? Riff first?)
Aren’t these guys from berklee? I saw drummer and guitarist playing with Tigran Hamasyan. Regarding this video - best thing seen so far
They are from Umeå, Sweden.
@@zeal0tseven57 Meshuggah are, yes, but the guys in this video are mostly Berklee students.
I listen to this version more than the original at this point
Very cool,I really like what you did.I really love meshuggah and I know how complex rythm is in songs is pure madness:))
Was it hard to learn this song?
