Hi, I'm Steve, nonda's lead mechanic engineer. Feel free to leave your comments here if you have any mechanic questions, I will be glad to help you out!
So we did this and when we took out the sensor there was a dried bug debris in there. We took it out, poured alcohol and cleaned it and the car started running again! This totally worked. We had also changed the spark plugs, and I changed the cold air intake hose and now it’s good as new!
Hi! I drive a 2010 Toyota RAV4. I had to slam on my brakes pretty hard the other day which caused my traction light and check engine light to come on. I bought a code reader and I was getting this code issue and P0171 “bank 1 system too lean”. I just ordered a new MAF. Do these two codes usually correlate? Will the MAF replacement fix the P0171 code too? My car isn’t really running differently, it’s just these lights always come back on after I clear the codes which makes it so my car won’t let me use cruise control. Thank you for any feedback, I don’t really know much about all this stuff
Hi Liv, you can try cleaning the MAF sensor first to see if the issue will continue to persist. You can watch our video regarding this by heading over to this link [How to Fix P0171 Engine Code with MAF Sensor Cleaner] ua-cam.com/video/0uWi6J55AJI/v-deo.html Hope it helps!
So my 2014 Nissan Altima check engine light came on and the reader code read P0101, so I cleaned the sensor, it's been 2 months now and the check engine light came back on again, is it time to replace the sensor or could it be a different problem?
@nondainc My Nissan Sentra sv 2013 has this sensor and it doesn’t move forward when in drive. Could it be this sensor problem or transmission issue ? Would you happen to know?
Code 2002 and 0101 and engine light is on and no flashing, slight judder when going 30 or below. Think my mechanic changed the above but didn't take light off, but think he said he clean all connections under bonnet n it went off, but just over a week later and check engine light has come bck on? Any ideas please kia sportage diesel
So this is why my car ain't getting enough gas though it when I push on the gas it will go very slow than once it hit 20 miles then it will start driving right or some time I have to turn it off and start it all over again. And the only things pop up is PO 101 AND POP 113
I have done this on my 2006 bmw 325i and then I bought another one from a bmw guy online. He says off a working car and its still throwing the same code
Hi David, if the suggestions provided in the video has been applied and the issue still persist, we recommend having the vehicle inspected by a mechanic for further diagnosis.

Hi i get this code on my bmw 520d f10 and I literally have no power on my car you think this would fix it?
Hello, you probably have a bad MAF, and a replacement is recommended.
With what did you spray the sensor With?
Hello, you can use any brands of the MAF sensor cleaner.
maf sensor cleaner or electrical contact cleaner
This is one of the options. I just have a Turbo hose leak, so I have to install a new hose.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
