IMPORTANT: Unfortunately, I won’t be responding to Instagram messages anymore. I hope you guys understand. It’s not an easy thing for me to have to say. Back when I first started my channel I had very little subscribers so this was something I could do easily but now as my channel has grown and that I’m a mother to two very young children, it’s impossible for me to respond to everyone. I currently have 92 unread messages in my inbox and that’s only from last week. I’ve also been getting a lot of rude and hurtful messages of people saying that I’m fake because I’m not responding or sending me message after message demanding for my attention. I know how it feels when you’re desperate. Truly, I do. I’ve been there. But please remember I am just one person. A lot of people are also asking me for medical advice but please remember I am not a doctor. I’m just like you.
If you want to get in touch, I offer health anxiety talking sessions which you can book here - cherellethinks.setmore.com
I have a health anxiety support page on Facebook. Just type in ‘Health Anxiety Community’ and last, I also do regular Q&A’s on my Instagram too to answer any questions people may have. I hope you understand and it’s never my intention to upset anyone. There just isn’t enough hours in the day. Thanks so much. X

I completely understand the last 10 seconds of what you were saying. I just went into “fuck it” mindset knowing that truly isn’t the answer. We “health anxiety walkers” have the ability to turn our own suffering into mindfulness, meditation, yoga, exercising, restfulness or simply just living. It is a life teaching that can take months, years or decades depending on our obstinance. Thank you for posting this video. Everything you’ve mentioned, I’ve already been through and been aware of, but it’s a good reminder of what I need to do.
    Good health to all!

Mainly my calves and the back of my arms but corner of my eyes, hands, anywhere. 100% linked to anxiety and all but disappeared after 6-8 months as my anxiety improved. I ran the gamut thinking it was ALS, brain cancer etc etc. i eventually accepted that the physical things I experienced where due to the horrible stress I was putting my body under. If you’re experiencing similar and a doctor has ruled something sinister out, I promise you it will improve. Speak to someone. Maybe Try CBT. Sending you good vibes.

Whip It Smiley yeah it was pretty constant. Worse when I lay down. The important thing to realize though is anxiety manifests itself physically in different ways for different people. Effects can last different lengths of time....the way to improve your symptoms is to address the anxiety.theres nothing to be gained from googling stuff and comparing yourself. Look after yourself

May 2018 is when mine triggered and started after I took the anxiolytic buspar. Still going strong all over my body and very annoying! Especially when I’m in class at University. Have been off buspar for almost 2 years but still going hard in the paint 🎨 I feel embarrassed and I feel like people around me involuntarily mirror my twitches and they get mad at me. It’s double trouble because obviously this twitching (benign fasciculation) is annoying me and puts me on the spot in public because they are sooo bad. I just got a new case of ones in my face, mouth and eyes where they twitch and sometimes are like stuck which I look like a freak whenever they happened. Plus the other part of double trouble is people are insensitive and get mad at me for making them twitch too. Conclusion: I need to surrender and not try to hold them in. Will be 2 year mark may 2020 but I’m hoping they go away like yours. Happy for you and your awesome family of 4. Hubby, daughter, son and all! I got a EMG NCV done to check and got a EEG to check brain activity. Cool thing is I I’m doing neurofeedback now and it helps my anxiety and ocd. I tried TMS but didn’t work for me. Before all that I’ve been off and on meds since I was in 4th grade and countless psychology and psychiatrist appointments. I’ll be graduating University in the summer totaling out 6 years in University at age 24. I’m happy tho. Let’s choose happiness and cultivate that with love! Go team human beings. We are in it together!!

I have really bad muscle twitches too, every time it happens I can't stop thinking about it and then I just go down the whole rabbit hole of looking things up and getting convinced I have a life-ruining disease. Another thing that sets me down that rabbit hole is my chest pains, and for some reason, I feel like I have to put my hand on my heart when it happens as if it's going to help it or something(it never does).

Thank you Cherelle for these videos, it's good to know I'm not the only one having these issues.
I have anxiety for about 4-5 years now and I've learned to live with it, which means I do not really have any panic attacks anymore for about 4 years. The way to deal with most anxiety issues is to face your fears, for example; if you are scared of heart problems, go run.
The twitches for me started a few months ago. It seems as if anxiety comes with something new every few months. Personally I think it's because anxiety also causes stress and this is how your body deals with stress...

I saw most of your videos and I musttell you, that I have the same problem, like you: health anxiety. I think I always had it, but it became worse after 40. I've alredy "had" brain tumour, aneurisma, ovary cancer, bowel cancer, melanoma, but furtunately these diseases can be checked by doctors and you can reassure yourselve, that it was only a bad idea. But last autumn I had a strange feeling in my thoath, like something would catch my breath for a moment. I visited our family doctor, but she said, t is due to anxiety and that's it. But I was anxious before and never experienced this feeling, so I started to worry about it. I visitied two ear-nose-throath doctors, they didn't find anyting. Then I was at cardiologyst, neirologist etc, I had neck and face MRI and CT but they didn't find anything apart from two disks in my necj which is not totally good, but nothing serious, can be handle with some training. Later on I thought that maybe it is connected with my tense neck muscles and I googled it... than I found ALS. I was terrified reading it, and that night my muscle twiches started. I had swalloving problems, I couldn't eat and sleep, my husband really worried about me. Of course we visited a neurologist, she referred me brain MRI and EMG/ENG, everything was normal. She mentioned that it can be a mental problem, so I try to accept this, but I still worry. Firts my swalloving problems disappeared, then the breathing problem, my twiches started to lessen, but never stopped totally. I had a longer break during the summer holiday, but they came back in September. My twiches has started for more than one year now. I try to convince mayselve that if I had ALS, especially a bulbar onset, I would have died by today. But still worry and I try to fing logical explanations on my problem. It was goodto hear that you have twiches after walk. From last spring I started to do sports more intensively, in order to convince myself, that I'm healthy. And my experience is that after sport my twiches become more intense for one or two days, later on it becomes better. I also twich when I'm extremly nervous. But what bothers me: I didn't twich let's say 3 years ago. Why now?!

I've had these twitches for about 32 years now, since I was about 8 or 9 years old I started noticing them. I'll be 43 at the end of the month. Never had any issues with them medically or physically. They happen 24/7 too and all over my body (head to feet). Not more than 10 or 15 minutes will go by without them. I've had one on the side of my rib cage last for 3 years, that was the longest one I've ever had. It started in the summer of 2013 and stopped late 2016. It wasn't really noticeable until I laid on my back or my left side in bed. Now and then during the day it would go wild and I'd notice it. Mostly though they either last in several of the spots for the day or last a minute to a couple of hours. A majority will continue in the same spot for about a week to 2 weeks. Every now and then they'll last a couple of months. I've had one in my lower right thigh (on the left side) about an inch above my knee for the past 8 days. As well, my lower right eyelid for about 2 weeks now. I've gotten used to them and as weird as it sounds I like having them. I think they feel good and sorta relaxing.

@@latoyasmith922 No, I haven't. I'm sorry. They don't bother me at all and I've never had any issue because of them. My son just turned 10 years old and he's been having them too for about a year. He's almost the same age as I was when I started noticing them. I was in 4th grade and he just started 4th grade. I spoke to another woman on here and she said her daughter is experiencing them too. Maybe it's hereditary? If you have other symptoms, like the muscle weakness, I would talk to your primary care physician. I've talked with my doctors through the years. @@DianaRodriguez-mr3vb I've never been prescribed anesthia if that's what you meant. I have been put under for surgery twice, once for major chest surgery that took being under for a few hours (a skeletal deformation in my sternum when I was a teenager) and then again for hernia surgery which only took about 30 minutes when I was 30 or 31. Nothing bad happened. There are tests you get done through neurologists and MRIs, etc if you're worried about having these twitches. All my tests have come back normal. I've actually been having a pretty huge twitch in my left foot that causes 2 of my toes to rapidly move back and forth. Out of all the years I've had twitch this one can get a little annoying because it's extremely active, fast moving, it encompasses the whole top left side of my foot and has been nonstop for about a year and a half now. That's the only complication I've ever had from them, a slight annoyance. I know it sounds weird, but I usually enjoy them and in certain areas find them relaxing. Rest assured 99% of the time these twitches are only BFS (Benign Fasciculation Syndrome). Some people's skeletal nerves start to twitch and as far as I've been told no one really knows why. Some people have found ways to keep them limited, but nothing has ever worked for me, but I don't have high anxiety or stress either, so I don't mind them. They're kind of neat to watch spazz out for a minute or two.

Its hard to believe the twitches are just anxiety for me. Even when others have the same issue. I think i have a vit deficiency. My anxiety, of course, is telling me i am dying of cancer or I have MS or ALS. I pray to God everyday that that is not true. I really think MS but if not that then its got to be a vit deficiency. But then i start thinking about what disease could be causing the deficiency. It is exhausting... it helps to stay busy. Best to stay busy helping other people who are having problems. My grandmother has dementia and i know that is a neurological disease that I will likely get as well. As it has made its way through many people in my family. Helping her with her daily activities takes my mind off of the muscle twitching and pain in my neck and other things. Soon when I get health insurance I can get some tests, but until then I try to stay distracted. Thanks for all the videos you post. Its very helpful to see and read the responses and just feel normal.

So just know the twitching (benign fasciculation) which is benign means non harming and fasciculation is a fancy word for twitching will just go away. Ride the wave man and eventually it’ll go away. Even give ur self a time frame like say to ur self “I’m going to let these wtwitches whole hearlty happen without trying to resist and hold them in for like 1 month and assess where u r then. All of these come and go for over a year now but my twitching has been there since March of last year. I developed anxiety and depression over these symptoms. Ive has EMG, nerve test, MRI, and different kinds of blood test.. the only thing that was found is I have multiple herniated discs. Herniated discs are very common and this might be the same case for a lot of other people.. herniated discs might be causing your twitching.. coz this is the only explanation I have for mine.. I’m currently doing gyrotonics to help me.. my twitches are still there but it helps with other symptoms.. these twitches still make me think I have als and it’s very scary.. but it’s been a year and I didn’t lose muscle mass or anything.. I’ve been dealing with twitching for around 3 months now. Back in October 2019, I was on bactrim for an infection on my toe. 2 days after I started taking it, I started having extreme fatigue, weak muscles and racing heart. I went to many doctors and had a ton of blood tests and everything came back normal. Around the end of October or beginning of November 2019, the twitching started. It started just in my hand and was really annoying then I started having twitching in my legs (calves, thighs, knees). I looked up twitches just recently (January 2020) and of course the first thing that pops up is als. My heart sank in my chest. I have an appointment with the neurologist in March but it just seems too far away 😭 I’m so scared it’s als. I’m female and 25 so I know it’s even more rare to get it but still can’t get that though out of my head. I do deal with chronic health anxiety and depression. I spent most of my 2019 in my bed and and rarely left my house and when I got the infection on my toe I stressed a lot. So idk of all of this has been caused by the anxiety/stress/depression or even the bactrim but it just has me terrified!!! After I read that you can have trouble swallowing with als, of course I started to feel like I can’t swallow good now, for the past 2 days. I wake up in a panic every morning and this just isn’t healthy. I’m really worried about als and I still get fatigued and have the twitching. Sorry this is so long, I’m just rambling cause I’m so panicked 😭

Also, I’ve been crying/stressed a lot so I’m wondering if that’s why my throat feels right and hard to swallow. Also my voice is changing (cracking) but that could also be bc I’ve cried a lotttttt.
