Crazy how powerful the mind is I simply look at symptoms of that disease and the next day I start noticing symptoms anxiety is no joke Anyone reading this that deals with the same thing I hope you get through it!
After constant neck pain, arm pains, hand pains, muscle twitching, and other.. I had my EMG today. I was convinced that I had it. I was out of my mind and even warned my family that I wouldn't go on that way. I just lost all hope in the idea that I probably had it. My results were clear. The doctor told me there were no signs of anything wrong. Of course it relieves some of the stress and anxiety, but it's making me take a deeper look into my life. Do yourself a favor as I am. Stay away from googling every symptom and feeling you have. I have literally lost nights of sleep and days of work just thinking of the possibility. If I were to just follow through with my appointments without it, I would have saved myself a great deal of stress. Medical anxiety is crippling and 9.9/10 times it's just that. See your doctor and go on with what you need to do to figure it out. Do your best to stay calm. I know it's not easy and it's definitely worth getting checked out for the peace of mind. My PT told me I may have a condition that I later looked up (and had nothing to do with ALS) but it also showed up on the search. I looked into and was just 100% convinced. Your brain is not always your friend. Just stay the course, friends.
What kind of pain did you have in your hands? I have extreme pain in my eminences thenar it comes and goes. My wrist seems less mobile and stiffer. I am following up and waiting for all the tests.
I had minor health anxiety for most of my life, a health scare caused it to flare, then it subsided, then Covid hit and I handled the first part pretty well. Then my mom had a heart attack in August and it had been the worst ever. Late last year I ended up going down the ALS rabbit hole, and I am still occasionally convinced I have it. I go back and forth between ALS, Heart attack, cancer, and some other problem such as appendicitis. Google doesn't help. I'm not even sexually active and i still convinced myself once that i had HIV.
I like how as soon as you started talking about the symptoms and started saying why I shouldn't be afraid, my twitching literally slowed down and stop for a little while. Thank you! ❤️
I agree with you. Health anxiety seems to alway come back I had it really bad 6 years ago with thinking I was having heart attacks and now it’s cancer ALS and everything else under the sun. We just have to live life day by day and be grateful and try not focus on things we cannot control
For whatever reason, your videos "talk me off the ledge" (as I like to call it) and I cannot thank you enough. Please keep making videos. You are an incredible person 🙌
Its such a cruel disease, that the very thought of having it can cause extreme anxiety, partly because of the impact on your loved ones also, personally ive had fasciculations,in legs (calves & thigh, amongst other places for about 2 months now,and nobody can tell me i dont have this condition, thats the power of fear, keep up the good work, your wise beyond your years
I’m thankful for finding your videos, I’ve been losing my mind sense Christmas. I’m 23 and have never had anxiety before, but out of no where I thought I was having a heart attack and feeling weird chest sensations and my left arm went numb. Just this past week I’ve started having muscle twitching and found the ALS rabbit hole. These videos and this community is really making me feel better. I just started my own business, moved in with my fiancé, and I have been spending money like mad(for business). After breaking it all down I can better see the obvious case that I have developed anxiety, and not a life threatening disease. Take care, God bless.
Bro! Same thing happened with me. I'm also only 23yrs old. It started with a random panic attack (which I now know lol, thought it was a heart attack)...then stomach problems...with weight loss... Then the muscle twitching and weak feelings. Difference is, my Dad passed away of ALS when he was 47 (I was only 17). Though ALS was never been in our family before! My body has somehow started almost imitating my worst fears. It's a terrible thing. God bless you man! I hope you're feeling better lately.
Im not downplaying the seriousness of ALS, but just want it to ne recognised that health anxiety is in its own way can be hugely debilitating...thank you for fhis video
stress causes elevated cortisone, abnormally high cortisone due to anxiety depletes potassium and that wont necessarily show up in the serum blood test because it will happen inside of the cell, then whats gonna happen is your H ions will shift into the intracellular level to maintain electrical neutrality since potassium and hydrogen are both + charged, then you will lose hydrogen ions from your blood which is also acid then your blood ph levels alters and you go into metabolic alkalosis state, in this state your ionized calcium levels will quickly fall and actually thats why you are getting the twitches, you need to acidify the blood or eat much more potassium, long story short potassium will affect magnesium absorption as well, drink some apple cider vinegar and eat some potassium heavy diet prefferably 2500-3000 mg a day see if it helps, when you go to doctors they will tell its caffeine or stress, caffeine also will decrease ionized calcium big time, its really ionized calcium but you cant fix it without potassium since H ions will only shift for potassium, low ionized calcium is also called hypocalcemia and it happens without changing your total serum calcium levels, so your calcium test should be totally fine but you might be hypocalcemic due to low ionized calcium, i was literally watching medical lectures to learn about this stuff, i can also interpret chest xrays and ct scans haha i love how my anxiety makes me a more educated person for literally no reason
To add to one of your last reasons: most of us on here are so in-tune with our body symptoms we would absolutely know if something was really off. In fact, my neurologist who gave me my EMG and explained BFS is a top neuromuscular specialist in the area who treats patients with ALS everyday, he said most of his ALS patients are shocked at the diagnosis as they never even though of that. And here we are obsessing and anxious over BFS. He said BFS is very common and he sees at least 3 patients a month with it. And even with all the reassurance from this top doc I still get anxious! The problem deep inside I know is in my head, but hard to listen to that part of the brain
Wow you got an EMG? I was discouraged by the neurologist to take one (I saw her because I was weak and felt sand in my hands) because she said its really painful and and I hadnt had concerning symptoms yet (I like wasnt mumbling words or limping yet, among other things).
@@eduardochernia What is she talking about ? There is NOTHING painful about EMG's. I think she just didn't want to be bothered. I've had three in my life by diff neurologists and an EMG is about as uncomfortable as acupuncture - which is hardly painful at all. There is a quick prick followed by a little zing like a mosquito bite from time to time - but no big deal at all.
i sent you the message on the last video, I am turning 61, I have never smoked, drink very rarely, never did drugs, workout as I said on the last video comment, so the age thing makes me more anxious but you are reassuring me in your videos, I will keep watching, learning and continuing to put your advise into practice, Thank you you are an angel, I hope to start to feel better and continue with my workout to get better
I cant tell you how much your videos are helping me! I am in the dark days of feeling i have this muscle twitching all over my body mainly when trying to sleep. I already have GAD and health anxiety so im really just trying to calm myself down and re watch your videos to help me thankyou so much for making these
thank you so much for this video! i saw some accounts on instagram of young people with ALS and since then i don’t have peace anymore. i have fasciculations, and always i think that my legs are feeling weird and tired or my arm is hurting, your video rlly tranquilizes me, wishing all the best!❤
Thank you. My anxiety is so bad. I have to stay busy every minute of every day to deal with it…but when I lay down at night, it all hits me. I’ve been this way for 36 yrs, I can remember having anxiety as a 5 yr old and it developed into hypochondria as an adult…it’s worse sense I had kids and the fear of “not being able to raise them” has been so strong in my mind…but they are 6 and 11 now and I’m still here. Just gotta keep on keeping on I guess. Some days are just harder than other. I hope it’s just BFS.
Thanks so much for the video! I say it a lot but your videos help me through! I struggle with health anxiety and “relapse” every now and again. That sounds so dramatic but it’s very debilitating and your videos help me feel better when it seems no one around me understands what I’m going through or why it effects me so horribly.
Guys, Muscle twitching is very Common for a lot of people... I know its annoying and having anxiety at the same time is not helpful but dont worry everything is just fine and you are fine. Much love
@@juliamiller5120 yes it can! I have been having muscle twitches for about 4 years... And have experienced Sorness as Well especially in my calf. I wouldnt worry but I would still Check Up to the doc to make a blood Test and See If you May have a Mineral deficiency :) Much Love and god Bless!
@@ridethathorse2111 my blood work is normal. My cholesterol is borderline high. But that’s an easy fix. I did go to the ER because of the calf pain. The d-dimer was positive but the CT and ultrasound were negative. Meaning no blood clot. I’ve been having chest and arm pain, muscle twitches, soreness in both calves, generalized weakness, and my head feels tight and heavy. I have an appointment with my GP next week. But my instincts are telling me this is all my anxiety. It’s so amped up and so palpable right now that it’s manifesting into physical symptoms.
I’m a year in, clean EMG/MRI I still battle this every single day, it truly is so hard. Thank you for this video! I have always had anxiety but I’ve never suffered so much since googling muscle twitching. I blame Google LOL!
Same thing! A year in from twitching and clean EMG and I still can’t get over it! Like you I have always had anxiety, but ever since the twitching and googling nothing is reassuring me. Why with twitching??!! Ugh so annoying
I completely understand where you're coming from . I told my wife take my phone from me for now on when I get home everyday so I literally don't look this shit up anymore . I'm dealing with horrible symptoms. Crazy part is do I do have an emg that is showing delay in both my lower sular nerves and then in my left ulnar nerve up top. So I'm literally like shitting myself until this follow up appointment which is in a few days
My eye lid started twitching two weeks ago maybe and now I get twitching in my legs and arms and Randomly throughout my body. I almost Thad a panic attack when the search came up with ALS. Your whole playlist is speaking to exactly where I'm at with my anxiety currently. Thanks for making these videos :)
@@Elver-Galarga09 i got back on my antidepressants and my whole body twitches have gone away but my eye-lid still comes back when I drink too much caffeine. I told myself if i didn't lose some motor function after a couple months i probably don't have ALS, so it's been a couple months and I feel much better.
@@sneep66 imma go get checked out by my doctor. But thats actually a good idea, considering if i do have als the only reason i would go to the doctor would be to co firm i have it, since its incurable soo yea what ever my doc says ill follow instructions. And if no motor functuons are affected in a couple months then i dont have it
I'm going on year 5 of BFS. I will say with time it has gotten better with less twitching and for some it will go away after about 10 years. After about two years of twitching I finally went to a neurologist who cleared me.
OMG, Thank you for this video!!! ❤ Thank you for sharing your experiences with health fears…aka health terrors. I have been unable to sleep or function for days because of horrific and unrelenting fear. The fear has absolutely immobilized me. There was NO COMFORT to be found on the internet until I found your video. THANK YOU!!!!! I am weeping with relief. May God bless you for sharing this information!!!
Her video is so good and she's so right. Tingling, burning skin, numbness, dizziness... I have had all of the symptoms ( for more than 6 weeks as of today) and I could just not believe anxiety was able to do this to my body. Some nights my arms would go completely numb and I would freak out. The MRI finally confirmed my brain is totally fine, even though I was convinced I had something really serious. I am thankful that people make these videos. My advice for you is to go and see a doctor as soon as possible, and while you are waiting for the results, remember that you are not alone and that chances are very high you are not dealing with a brain tumor or multiple sclerosis.
I have ALS. I was given 3 EMGs which only showed deterioration in my arm. The EMG at Mayo was so far superior and also tested my spine which confirmed the diagnosis. If you haven't had a skilled EMG, it's really hard to diagnose
Sometimes throughout my day when I start to have some really depressing health anxiety thoughts I just really think of this video reassuring me that I am in fact not crazy and there is people who struggle with hypochondria
Words cannot describe how grateful i am to you for this! I'm on the spectrum and my anxiety can get out of control stupid fast. Your video helped me out of a nervous breakdown. Thank you thank you thank you
Have had twitching for over 20 years. Had a test that came back negative. Doesn't matter. My mind will still run to the worst possible scenario. I don't think the anxiety ever goes away.
There is now a clinical trial for an eye exam to detect ALS. Having a diagnostic test would relive so much anxiety from so many people ua-cam.com/video/dac1vmX_65w/v-deo.html
I can’t tell you how much this video has helped me. Everything you described is what I’ve been anxious about, it’s like you read my mind! I’ve been having twitches for 2 years now. I’m 20 and it’s causing me really bad anxiety to the point where I’m googling ALS everyday. I have been diagnosed with Benign fasciculation syndrome just waiting to have an EMG done to confirm.
@@sumeenahmed5099 Hi I had the EMG done today and everything was normal. Doctor said it is benign and something that I have to wait to pass on it’s own.
Had twitching fasiculations all over for 6 months... thumb hotspot and tongue. 2x clean EMGs.. Dont stress aslong as you dont have weakness and atrophy. Do yourselves a favor and get checked anyway to ease your minds.
Cherelle, this past month i've been going thru a terrible als scare, lost tons of weight and have barely been able to function and live/enjoy my life. I've recently came across your channel and you have def eased some of my anxiety and worries a bit. Alot of your past vids and worries you had are almost exactly some of the things i've gone thru in the past as well. Although i'm still having these twitches (which came out of nowhere), I always try and remind myself that i'm not the only one out there that is going thru the same situation so thank you for that. I need to get past this cause it's honestly been the most challenging thing I have ever dealt with, as silly as that may sound to some ppl. I know there are ppl out there that have actually been diagnosed with this horrible disease and I know that most would prob read this and roll their eyes at me and I mean no disrespect to them and am so sorry for what they are going thru, just can't get past this worry.
F##k dude you put this f#####g nicely. I agree with you 100%, I understand you 100%. I have better days and not so good ones but overall I'm broken since my body starts twitching. It's ridiculous it's heartbreaking it's exhausting.
Goddamn I needed this I’ve done self diagnosed with like 9 fatal Diseases within the last 2 years all of this started because of Covid 19! I’m sick of this it’s time I started fighting my anxiety back!
@@userrh2429 Honestly. Ever since i started fighting back i have been doing great. I just forced myself to know that im in control. i found the more you fight it the more it concerns you and the more you fall into the hole. Just accept you have it and dont let it control you. its basically like a i dont care mindset if you tell yourself you dont care and just live life and that you are not scared the anxiety wont win! i hope my advice helps you recover like i am!
I’m going through this right now. I have developed muscle twitches every where and a vibrating sensation inside. My muscles are shaky feeling. I too thought my legs felt weak but not tripping, falling. I’m able to hold things in my hands without dropping. However I did just try talking an SSRI (Zoloft) for anxiety and my doctor thinks I’m having a bad reaction so I came off it. I however am convinced I’m going to die in two years from this. I have had anxiety my whole life and it is awful. I hate being so negative and thinking the worst but I spiral down the Google hole and have diagnosed myself as having it. Thank you for this video. It is nice to know I’m not alone with these feelings.
i'm currently having weak legs since gen 2020. 24/7. it all started with a general health anxiety. i went to neuroligist in march and he told me that its a subjective weakness and with ALs you have objective weakness. after 8 month of this miserable life i'm still convinced i have a degenerative disease.
@@umbertofurlan501 This happens with me as well! It have what i think is weakness on my right side (arm and leg) and it got to the point where I felt like I couldnt walk and I was so weak. So chiropractors, Neurologists, my personal doctor attributes it to anxiety as I have had blood tests for vitamin deficiencies. This does get better when I pop an Ativan, or maybe my brain forgets about it. I feel like I need answers but I am trying to eat better, drink more water, I cant exercise now as i just had knee surgery. But we shall see how it goes. I pray that you find peace and that you keep fighting ! stay strong!
Aughh thank you so much, I am experiencing weakness (not clinical, it just feels weak) and I have some twitching and shaking as well. This all happened after my first real panic attack in years (around 1.5 weeks ago) and its still ongoing so I have been a bit on edge. I'm only 20, so this helps a lot, thank you so much
If you, like me, have been working a lot, been fairly isolated (single), perhaps privately indulging in some unhealthy habits, and on top of that you work out a lot and aren't sleeping enough, and then you suddenly have twitching, you have likely been really overdoing it, and building up A LOT of hidden bodily trauma in the form of exhaustion, perhaps without realizing it. Accumulated psycho-physiological trauma, and the anxiety it fosters and causes, is the source of BFS in my belief. Obviously some nutrient deficiencies are also possible causes. When we internalize a lot of trauma in our bodies it eventually has to come out, hence the twitching. Other people may experience a different manifestation. The next step is the inevitable dot connecting we do via Google, or even without that, for those who have health anxiety, we incorrectly attribute our symptoms to a bigger, badder wolf, and without proof. Are the twitches annoying? Hell yes. Can they sometimes not be easily ignored? Yes. However, if we take a moment to step back and rationally observe what is happening, it becomes obvious that our reaction to BFS is more powerful than it itself is. So either the anxiety it induces is worse than the twitching objectively is (and we all know BFS is harmless), or our reaction/response of living with it or learning to completely ignore is as well more powerful. In either case, this shows that our mind dictates our relationship to reality, in so far as how we respond to it. I am telling you to relax. You deserve to feel relaxed and you have the power to make it happen. This doesn't have to be exhausting. This is just how you (we) are, for now. Note: I've just started experiencing this condition and I am being proactive in fostering a dismissive attitude toward it, after 2 weeks of anxiety over it (which is uncharacteristic of me). Will I be reigning in my crazy lifestyle and getting some rest? You betcha. Be well.
I’m so glad I found you!! My Grandmother in England passed from this terrible disease in 1980c and I’ve had major health anxiety over this and worried about getting it for over 8 years! @Homemaking Heaven Hey, thank you so much for your response. So sorry you are going through this cruel health anxiety, its so draining. There are different variants of ALS or MND as we know it in the UK and the one that my mum passes with was the FAS or flail arm syndrome variant. Others are bulbar and limb onset. Try not to worry if it continues go to your Doctor, eye twitches can go on for months then stop.
My twitching started with 2 weeks of numbness/tingling in my feet first. The numbness went away after 2 weeks, which is when I noticed constant twitching all over my body. Not sure if I was twitching in the initial 2 weeks, but I was certainly on edge and very jittery. Also having jerks in my feet/legs, mostly at night. All of my blood tests and MRI have come back normal, except the EMG showed mild sensory neuropathy in both legs and "although F waves are mildly prolonged; currently, there is no electrodiagnostic evidence of acute demyelinating polyneuropathy (AIDP)." All muscles examined were normal. The neurologist said no concerns with MS or ALS at this point, but I'm not sure what to do next. Hard to believe that it's BFS with the neuropathy in my legs. Healthy 33-year-old male and not sure what the mildly prolonged F waves means. Getting tested for Lyme next, but the testing process seems unreliable for that. Frustrating!
Hey! Good for you. I'm new to the twitches, and after 2 weeks of worrying about the worst case scenario, I'm done with that. The anxiety is worse than the twitches, and my mind is strong enough to integrate these new sensations into who I just am (for now).
do sensory symptoms point away from ALS? i have bodywide twitching but i also get burning, pins and needles, aches, cold/hot sensations, and numbness and tingling.
This is the most crazy channel I've found in a long time. I've discovered your videos only earlier today and I've already cried 4 times haha. Thank you so much for this video. I am currently struggling with this exact same thing and watching your videos greatly helps my stress levels. Currently waiting for my EMG but, until then I am just trying to manage anxiety. It's so reassuring to hear that there are plenty of people out there who are going through the same thing I am. Thanks again!
I have been diagnosed with ALS. I did shrug my initial symptoms off and waited a long time before I finally saw a neurologist. I was diagnosed in a room full of doctors as I have a very rare form. I kept arguing that I do not have ALS but just overdone it. I was put in palliative care but fought my way out. I will never give up no matter what they say or the illness throws at me.
I'm not sure yet but I think I have it too. What were your symptoms? Did you have any weaknesses? I wish you good luck and stay strong! Hopefully the disease will progress very slowly and they will find a cure to slow it down. If you want to talk don't hesitate.

This video really helped, addressed specific issues that I convinced myself were als. Something that is still worrying is that I get and notice twitching and dropping stuff when I’m not actively worried about als, at least consciously. I notice myself twitching on a daily basis and dropping stuff on average once a week and think maybe it’s als but brush it off bc I’ve been down this rabbit hole before but just slipped into it again and going to the doctor tomorrow. It just feels so real, like I’m not always anxious (I think) but will notice stuff and think “is this als?”, can anybody relate?

Iv been running and feel strong so don’t think I have ALS, I saw the DR and blood test came back normal but I still worry. I just need to stop googling, hope you feel better soon
Yeah me too. Even if I am not “anxious” I still get twitches, muscle weakness and globus sensation in my throat… I don’t know if I am imagining things but I am very scared. I will go to make a EMG and blood test to rule this out. MRI came back normal
Thank you very much i'm going through a very stressful fase. I was absolutely sure i had ALS or Parkinson's disease, but your video helped me very much.
But it's still failure rather than a feeling. The key part of clinical weakness is that it's objectively measurable and can't be overcome by willpower alone.
Currently in this boat, got sick and went to hospital and developed health anxiety ever since. I now have muscle twitching all over my body. left arm constantly feels weak and even getting cramps in my hand. Convinced I have atrophy. Waiting on an appointment to see a neurologist. It’s mental torture
I have been training and dieting loads, 6 weeks ago I started with a twitch in my back, near my armpit - Teres minor muscle area, I googled it said ALS/MND and I had a terrible bout of anxiety and Dr says I have illness anxiety. I have had negative blood test and physio thinks it’s a posture issue with working from home. Iv never really had a twitch before especially one that has lasted 6 weeks 😔
I Have a awful health anxiety and OCD (male 28) and I'm im the bulbar Als rabbit hole .. I read about it and after a week I have started to slurre many words, No one have heard it when they speak to me, but! I have it recorded when I do slurre, so I really are slurring my words. I also started stuttering. After the first slurre I got so hyperaware of my speech. I have never had any problems with my speech, my speech is my biggest gift in my life so when something is off with it, I know for sure something is really wrong. During this time, I also remember my tongue feeling fatigue. I do not slurre all the time it's coming and going. I’ve also developed in the last 2-3 days a scalloped tounge and burning sensation on my tounge (never had this before), fasiculations all over my body, mostly on my left buttcheek, it also feels like I have lost the coordination of my tounge and my tounge is always touching my teeth while I’m speaking, I never had braces and I have straight teeth. And today I have bit my tounge like 15 times meanwhile I'm speaking ..
So to my question, is this the bulbar onset of ALS? Because how can it be possible for me to slurre my words for 17 days with just hyperawareness and health anxiety, it should not be possible right?
Had muscle twitch about 2 months ago, didn’t have any twitching until 2-3 weeks ago when I searched it up. Now I feel like I’ve got calf atrophy, I work a physical job, play soccer and can still calf raise on that side just as much but still very scared!
Currently experiencing heaviness in my leg for 6 weeks, along with constant muscle twitching in calves, thigh and one side of my face near my cheek. I've bought a grip strength test machine, I measure my legs arms, forearm every week, currently awaiting my EMG test 5th December.... I have to keep reminding myself that there are 68 million people in the UK and getting MND or ALS Google says 5,000 people have this condition in the UK any given time. That is a 0.0000735 chance of getting ALS. I wish I had the same outlook on positive things like winning the lottery. All disease is either toxicity or deficiency.. start with a everyman/woman blood test to provide some reassurance.
I have all those symptoms (and lots of other strange symptoms) but never even thought of ALS until I saw this video. I am under the care of a neurologist now who is trying to figure out what is going on. So far the only things she has mentioned is Myasthenia Gravis (ruled out with a blood test) and Multiple Sclerosis (just had MRI, after having to have surgery to remove my cochlear implant in the middle of cancer treatment), so I am safe to assume I don’t have ALS and I trust her. 😊
I'm experiencing muscle weakness and muscle ache, twitching etc...I've had all the muscle tests done, all came back fine. It gets worse some days, it comes around in cycles with other symptoms, so i know it's just my anxiety ruling my body. It gets so bad sometimes that i actually can't pick up the kettle or shopping bag, or cup of tea, totally freaks me out!! But u have to tell myself it's fine! I've ended up in hospital about 10 times because of it though, i was wheelchair bound due to chronic weakness fir a few days, it is bizarre.
My sister always complained she's having twitching in her shoulders and she went for a full test. She does not have it fortunately. Although she is brave to do something like that. I can't do it! I cannot go and test as I'm super scared what might come out of it. And then I won't have the bravery to kill myself while I still can!
I have had a twitch in my arm for a couple of days. I know it's probably not ALS, but I also suffer from severe anxiety. It's like I get one symptom that could be many other things, but my mind always goes to the darkest places.
Hey :) I’m 23 years old and from Germany so please excuse my English :D I have twitches for almost 1 and a half year now especially in my legs and my eye lid and they don’t want to go away I have been to two neurologists and had me tested for ALS and both tests came out negative but I still can’t stop thinking about having ALS. I noticed that if I walk up the stairs that my legs get sore in fact my whole body gets sore when I do physical activities like brushing my teeth, lifting things and so on. Things I Could do a few years ago without any problems are exhausting now. I mean I still can lift heavy things but my muscles get sore so much faster. Now I think that I got weaker and my muscles are wasting away. I wonder if some of you experienced overall fatigue and weakness as well? I hope that it’s just my anxiety which makes me weaker and not ALS, I somehow think that the doctors might have misdiagnosed my symptoms :(
I'm 63 years old and I've been like this my entire life; chart my DNA and you will find a klutz gene. If there were a 4th stooge, that would be me. That being said, I did lose my youngest brother Don 18 years ago, in 2006, to ALS. He was first diagnosed at age 37, he survived 6 more years and died at age 43. He would be 61 today. I miss him beyond belief.
Hello everyone! Im fighting with health anxiety for years. But now im really woried. I have weakness in my left arm and leg for 4 days now. But its not like clinical weakness that anyone could see it. Its like my left arm or leg is some kind of heavy. Please help. Thank you. Good luck!
@@Luka4160 My conditions are identical - nearly a half a year of twitching all over - twitching and heaving fatigue in my left arm and leg. Yet I can still lift the same amount of weight. I'm glad you're going well over a year later.
Hi Cherelle! Your videos help me so much and so I wanted to say thank you as I've been going through a bad HA time at the moment. I was wondering if you could do a video some point around cervical/ovarian cancer, periods and stress etc? I'm currently going through cervical/ovarian cancer worries (even though I've been mostly checked for everything and all is fine) and period problems, probably due to all the stress I am putting my body under!! But any video's about this would be so helpful :)
I don’t know if words can calm me down Years ago i was overthinking that i have MS all doctors was telling me i don’t for 2 years i had MS symptoms i believed that i had it, then after 2 years i had a strong attack and it turned out i do have MS !! now i can’t trust any doctor anymore. i know i have MS but i’m worried about ALS because i feel like my left side muscles are weak and it seems like i have muscle atrophy in all my left side of body but i still can move it
Total relapse today thank you for this! I feel so stupid I have a shoulder injury of some sort, I get pain and it radiates down arm with some numbness I also know I worked out this morning and worked out hard. And now I get a twitch here or there or I flex and get a short lived cramp or spasm. And of course boom headspace goes crazy and I have als. I also look at my body and think oh look a dent atrophy ugh..
Hi, thank you for this video. I've had localized twitching in my right bicep for two weeks. I'm becoming very concerned about ALS. I can't get into a primary until next week and then I'll have to get a neurologist referral. I don't have other symptoms although now that I read about ALS I'm starting to feel right arm soreness. Do you feel I should be more concerned than others about the twitching because it's only in one spot in my dominant hand side arm? I notice the twitching mostly at rest at night and early morning.
Ive been having twitching thats just getting worse and worse. Now my right side is super week and my hand is trembling. One of my fingers is uncontrollably shaking and Im literally terrified.
Have had muscle twitches all over constantly since I got sick in late 2021. They make me more anxious and it’s likely the anxiety causing them. It’s a vicious cycle. Getting an EMG to be sure but if that’s clear I’ll feel better about them
LONG MESSAGE AHEAD!!! Hi Cherelle😊 I'm glad that I found your youtube channel. I'm experiencing muscle twitching all over my body for about 1 month now. It starts in my big toes then to my thumb and fingers. Then to my back, calves, arms and thighs. Now it's happening on my under lower lips, left cheeks and to my tongue😭😭😰 It happens everyday but not only on the specific spot. It happened all over my body alternately. I have no other symptoms aside from twitching. But when it occurs on my tongue, face, toes and thumb, my panic attack strikes😭😭😭 Hopefully it's not a Dystonia, ALS, MS, parkinsons and other serious conditions. It's not a bothersome when it occurs on my thighs, arms, back and calves. But when it strikes on my face, lips especially on the tongue, IT IS😭😭😭😭😭 Please I need a piece of advice on how to deal with this in everyday life. 😭😭 I have anxiety of googling symptoms. I have anxiety/health anxiety since highshool and start being hypochondriac/cyberchondriac. I used to think that I have serious diseases. Now the latest diseases I'm thinking is any serious disease relating to muscle twitching. I'm tired of searching and thinking. I'm Rommel, 21 yrs of age from the PHILIPPINES 💖🏳️🌈🇵🇭 please help anybody?
Know this is an old video. But I keep worrying about this. I have twitches more than I would like, in random spots. Sometimes my eye, sometimes my leg, sometimes my finger or thumb. I know I almost certainly don't have it, but I always think, what if.
Crazy how powerful the mind is I simply look at symptoms of that disease and the next day I start noticing symptoms anxiety is no joke
Anyone reading this that deals with the same thing I hope you get through it!
Anxiety is literally horrible
You literally calm me so much. I don’t know what I would do without your videos
So glad you can finally have peace of mind ♥️
So what was the condition you ended up having?
Peace be with you 🙏🏼
My leg joints and arm joints hurt. Along with leg twitching all over
videos like this make me feel like im not alone. im trying to explain to my family while at the same time trying not to be a burden. thank you
I had minor health anxiety for most of my life, a health scare caused it to flare, then it subsided, then Covid hit and I handled the first part pretty well.
Thank you! ❤️
Thank you for this! I know it's old, but my health anxiety goes WILD once every decade and this was really helpful!
Your words of encouragement and strength is as beautiful as you, thank you.

@@Musicyo111 dude I'm also 23 and also started having panic attacks and stressing about als
Same how r u
@@eduardochernia What is she talking about ? There is NOTHING painful about EMG's. I think she just didn't want to be bothered. I've had three in my life by diff neurologists and an EMG is about as uncomfortable as acupuncture - which is hardly painful at all. There is a quick prick followed by a little zing like a mosquito bite from time to time - but no big deal at all.

You betcha.
Be well.

I can’t thank you enough for this video. You are a lifesaver. God bless you!

I also had some falls and struggled washing my hair(lifting arms) and using pegs to hang clothes on washing line. Something that is still worrying is that I get and notice twitching and dropping stuff when I’m not actively worried about als, at least consciously. It just feels so real, like I’m not always anxious (I think) but will notice stuff and think “is this als?”, can anybody relate?
I’m the same, Iv had twitching in my back for over 6 weeks. I had been dieting and training for hard for 4 weeks before the twitching started. Since I googled and saw ALS/MND I notice every ache or twitch and panic.

@@willfisher5962 yeah, i only have fasciculations very rarely and i got diagnosed with BFS
Ok now I fully understand the weakness part
So basically if you can’t physically move your arm instead of muscle ache type feel if that makes sense
i don´t know. Most stories i saw about people with ALS they don´t suddenly lose complete movement of a limb. they usually slowling lose movement
How are you now?
Have you ever had constant dizziness unsteadiness...floating bobbing swaying up and down sinking and vision issues sensory issues with it..?
Had muscle twitch about 2 months ago, didn’t have any twitching until 2-3 weeks ago when I searched it up. Now I feel like I’ve got calf atrophy, I work a physical job, play soccer and can still calf raise on that side just as much but still very scared!
are you okey?
Thanks Cherelle! You’re the best 😃
