As soon as I saw Jacob's friend with the reverse under-bite, I was reminded of my time growing up with this show, watching it at my grandma's after my aunt would pick me up from school.
I LOVED WATCHING THIS AT AROUND 12:00P.M. ON A SATURDAY and also I loved George and Martha and zulu patrol they were fun and yes very unique in terms of their art style and character designs but there jokes and material always strikes a chord with me and apparently AND I ADMIT I STILL WATCH THIS AND OTHERS ON UA-cam AND IF ANYONE ASKS JUST SAY TO YOUR WIFE YOUR KIDS MADE YOU WATCH IT AND NO ONE CAN PROVE DIFFERETLY!!!
as a kid i thought this show was too dark (the color palette is very subdued and the kid gets pushed around by everyone), but man this show aged beautifully. What a stylistic piece of art to watch
I always liked how the background looked so sketchy and I realized how obvious it was that principle greedy guts design is meant to look pig like his shoes face hands and of course his round body shape just a thing I just now noticed
Man, this is a hidden memory. I have no idea what channel this show ran on in Germany but I watched a few episodes of it when I was little, though only remember one distinctly. It was about some fat guy trying to create the sweetest snack ever or something and they told the story about all of the attempts that had already been made such as "donuts so sweet, you'd get teeth problems just looking at it". For some reason, that one line really stuck with me, as well as the image of a guy wearing full surgeon's facial protection holding up said donut with pink frosting.
ALSO side note i believe the adults who were the most evil were portrayed as less human looking, greedy guts has a snout lmao, sour pickle is purple because and the custodian is... himself, to show that they are evil.

i dig the art style of this show. the pleasant enviornments look bright and you can really feel how grimy the places like the school are without a stylistic difference in the art. Edit: I also like the added detail that Jacob and his siblings actually look like a blend of their parents.
As the eighth child in a family of ten, if you ever wonder why immediately older middle siblings pick on you it's because we resent the fact that we're not "the baby" and thus mommy's favorite anymore, and are more or less ignored by the parents _unless_ we misbehave. The art style of this show for some reason gave me vibes of the flash game Fancy Pants, I have no idea why. But overall it's sadly one of those shows that's like, "Oh yeah I remember seeing that on Qubo every once in a while" so, not quite on the PBS Kids level of my brain, as I imagine is the same with a lot of us Americans. I liked it, though, lots of charm.

Pearlie and the Mysteries of Alfred the Hedgehog were a couple I loved.

I loved this show as a kid! I love that it gave good representation of my city (Montreal) and of french-Canadians (which I am) cause at the time we'd only get negative representation in other shows. This show nails the feel of Montreal btw!

This is one of those childhood shows that doesn't have much rewatch ability as an adult. I've had it recommended to me by UA-cam a few times, but felt no urge to rewatch it. It's a good show for it's target audience, but it doesn't go broader than that

NBC and Ion had a block with a few Qubo shows on it but it was mainly stuff everyone already know like Veggietales. I also had no idea Jacob Two-Two was based on a book but it doesn't surprise me considering the art style. Also fun fact: The Hooded Fang was voice by Bret Hart.
