Metal detector Emppu..I love that!😅
What I like about antiques and treasures is knowing that many people before me touched that object. Like an old book. Many emotions touched that book. Back in my hometown in Brazil I used to go to used book stores and visit family and friends homes to see their antique furniture. I lost that hobby for many years, until I went to Finland in 2018. I regained that hobby and mostly important the interest in that hobby, searching for Finnish antiques and old books in Finnish. In all my trips to Finland since, I have the joy of visiting used bookstores, antiques stores, and flea markets. You can find interesting things even in small cities like Lappeenranta. Most of the time I don't even buy anything, but by just seeing and touching objects brings me a lot of joy. And that all happened because of Nightwish. I am eternally grateful for Nightwish for bringing Finland, my beloved Finland, back to me. The long lost treasure of my old soul.
This comment is beautiful.
@@scheillaraffaelli , what Nightwish did was bring you a bucket of nonsense, and you devoured it. 😂
Now THERE’S something I never expected to see! That group pic really made me smile.
Най-любимата ми група! Обичам ви, всеки ден ви гледам и слушам!
I like how Tuomas states that an album is more than just recording. I guess stimulating the brain and nourishing the unconscious is where the Nightwish magic happens.
@@DeepeningTheListening , too bad there was no magic here . . .
I like how cultists start to talk like their adored leaders, using the same key words, and phrases, and so on, even the lines from the songs. I guess It should be kinda disturbing
@@Mordorian_Orque ...says the ork from Mordor. 😄 At least you made me laugh.
@@DeepeningTheListening you are so fake, emojis won't help you, you try to be merry and ironic, but you can't, it's kinda funny to observe.
He sould probably start to think about what makes a good song again.
"Yet, it ain't the gold itself
So much as finding the gold" ❤
Well this was just wonderful, put smile on my face! Emppu
Emppu🥰 it's a very nice hobby 🤟🔥🥰we need an Episode with Emppu 🥰
@MarkoL_77yeah, he's huge introvert so even seeing him and Tuomas talking about their hobby is holiday to me😅❤
Finally Emppu but not with his metal guitar this time, just with his metal detector. Even his hobbies have something to do with metal. This man is a metal legend.
My parents are archaeologists, gonna show them this video😃
Got the same hobby!
Emppu hobbies até the best ones!!
true :)
These guys are fascinating!
thank you for sharing some of your privat, kitos
The Finnish Time-Team. Love to see a documentary on that.
Its remembered my Grandfather... He had coins collection. After he died we saved his treasures!!
One day I just found 1 real paper (Brazilian money extinguished) snd it was SO valious, I felt like woooow I cant believe I just found it!! How!!
An amazing hobby. You can spend time with your friends, be outdoors ... this sounds like a fun thing to do. 😊👍😎
This is cool my sister and wanted to do this. Enjoy guys I hope you find some treasures. Thank you Nightwish❤
You missed "I". Alcohol is evil
Sounds good
Those pieces of history are truly special. Whether big or small, it all has great significance. I think it's a cool hobby, one that connects to the past, and I like that it goes with the theme of the album.
WOW ...dit was interessant om over na te denken ( ik hou van historische dingen en plaatsen) het verleden heeft ons gemaakt hoe we zijn 🫶😘🍀🇳🇱
Now I better understand, where Tuomas get his inspiration ) I want that hobby too. In fact, I have friends, who have exactly this hobby too, and even bring their children to it. I know that they already have coins from 19th century in their collection. Very good hobby, especially if you not alone and do it with your friends or kids))
Great hobby to have :)
Querido Nightwish que amamos muito todos voçês da mais linda banda de metal Nightwish de lindas músicas,
I have craved (or should I say graved) for a metal detector for the same hobby for years now. Love history, love old stuff. Maybe I should finally get shopping. 😅
The new season of Time Team looks awesome!
You might appreciate the BBC series 'Detectorists'!
Short episode ☺️… but interesting,thank you!❤
Imagine going for a hike and then you come across a bunch of people, looking like a metal band with metal detectors in their hands and then it's Nightwish....I mean, absolutly hilarious! But a great hobby :)
Very cool
I hope _this_ was the inspiration behind the li'l Yesterwynde game ;)
I knew it just had to be treasure hunting!
Aika makee löytö!
we want emppu episode
This is the closest thing to an Emppu episode we can get, I fear
@@babbonatale276 :D probably yes
More! Please!!
Emppu esta agachado.
Teremos Floor Jansen nesse episódio?
What is that object in the hand of Tuomas?Coin or some kind of jevel?
Oh fun!! Metal detecting in Europe would be AMAZING. Several millennia of metallic history, unlike two centuries of junk scrap metal in the USA, if we're lucky.
Супер 🎉.
Когда в Россию с концертом ?
Hey my talented friends do yall know Dan Vasc if not you need to get a hold of this phenom listen to him sing Everdream in fan protect it’s the greatest thing ever just watch please it’s truly amazing

So Nightwish next album 1:36 will be named Treasure Hunting....or at least a song with that theme...
You must be fun at parties.

Nihtwish 😮😮 dias 40 dias 40
Please so tour in India
Nightwish are geeks? 😎
This could've been satire
I'm picturing a Finnish version of the UK comedy "The Detectorists". 🤦 🤣
That's indeed a different episode, with yet another facet to discover from some of the band members. However, I'd like to hear more about the album itself, the recording process, I don't know, these episodes are super short and abstract!
They covered their process quite extensively in the EFMB making off. If they've done everything the same way and filmed that you would complain about how you know that stuff already.
Alestorm collab when?
In Germany, that hobby can get you into legal trouble. Would not recommend.
Tuomas, that should be made by archaeologyst. It's not a hobby
Archaeologists don't have the time or the funds to search random sites with metal detectors. They need to be sure that something big and important can be found there. If a hobbyist finds something that deserves to be looked into, then they will arrange a wider search. I don't think they want to waste their funds for a couple of old coins. :)
I think it was great that the band put the important message in the beginning of the video.
@@SilverCreek24 You are Not archaeologist. Don't say stupid things. The presence of an old coin as you call It, may be a sign of the need of a wide research. Or can be trash. Tomas takes artifacts out of context. But i'm Not going to teach you.
@@chimalmadanza8548 Here in Finland the money is tight in archaeology. When they excavated the oldest church in the country it was partly funded by selling postcards and t-shirts, and the rest came from private donations. Nobody's gonna fund a search that's based on finding one single coin in the forest. It would be nice if they did, but unfortunately it's unrealistic. Throughout time people have been dropping coins when they move from one place to another. :)
Mmmm... sorry, I don't want to be "that guy", but this kind of hobby can be really damaging to actually study and learning about the past. When archeologists find ancient objects they don't just "unbury" them. You need to study, analyze and very carefully manage every single object. You need to study the surroundings, why the objects are ther,e how, are there any other objects, how are they placed, who they belonged to... A metal detector and a schnapps bottle are not the best tools to actually learn about the past, this is borderline vandalism. Leave the archeology to the professionals who know what they are doing.
Good remark but did you see the announcement at the beginning? It doesn't have to be so black/white. In many countries, there is a peaceful coexistence or even collaboration between scientists and hobbyists.
An archeologist is always limited in time and means. He has to start from leads and needs purpose and funds. No room for much trial and error there.
Provided that the metal detecting hobbyist doesn't excavate entire areas he can be a great asset. He can show his finds and have scientists take over in a structural, scientific way. The hobbyist being the sniffer.
Both parties can be happy.
Ever watched Digging for Britain? Great stuff!
When are we going to address how this album sounds horrible, if the single is anything to go by? When?!
Why are you watching a making of an album you don't like? 😄
@DeepeningTheListening , because, as a disappointed fan, I am allowed to express my opinion. I know, on the whole, the Nightwish fanbase thinks that Tuomas drops turds in the toilet and the turds are Nightwish masterpieces. But that's not what a turd is; no one likes turds. (That's why indoor plumbing jas existed for millenia.) And the single was a musical turd. I want to know if they're going to be doing proper mixing, so we don't get more turds like the single.
@@SamBrockmannwtf man, what about some respect? How many song did you make? Even as ex fan, talking about the music as 💩 is so disrespectful... I'm sorry for you.
@sicksixsixsix27 , no. You're exactly the kind of jackass to which I was referring. You 🤡.
No one owes Nightwish (or any other band) "respect". Bands earn our respect. They are selling a product: their music. If the product is the musical equivalent of a microwave meal, I am not going to pretend that it is a steak dinner.
@@SamBrockmann You are allowed to express your opinion and we are allowed to disagree with it.
