Thank you for this interview !!
It was great !! 💯 % 🆒️ 👍
I ❤ Nightwish ever since the year 1996 !! The year Nightwish born !! 💕 💕 🤘 🔛 🥳 Today i will subcribe to your channel. I ❤ your work !! 😍
Tuomas and Chaoszine its so much appreciated the content and interviews you provide to us fans ❤
Tuomas so much appreciated about floor her health being and performance after all shes been through ❤❤❤
"If I would mention one song, how would the other songs feel.." ❤ that's like the definition of Tuomas' humble personality, you gotta love that guy✨
Thank you so much for the interview🤘🏻
Tuomas should release like a "director's cut" for a full 45-minute release of The Greatest Show On Earth
I think the 30th anniversary would be the perfect opportunity to do something I believe Tuomas has always wanted to do: a single concert or short series of concerts with a full orchestra and choir, recorded and filmed for release.
god yes please
Nightwish is a genre itself
No doubt!
100%
I alway say this too
So happy with all efforts Tuomas and Chaoszine spend on bring us all this information ❤❤
Absolutely! For those who don't know of NW or don't get what NW is, I feel really sorry for you cause you're missing the opportunity to experience MAGIC✨
So many people get to touch the stars because of this band and this guy's writing
I could just listen to his speaking non-stop. There's some calming depth in his voice
Exactly, such a soft voice 💗
This band makes life worth living..
....❤
Tuomas speak about privilege to still there to do what's it's important for him, and transmit to us all these songs.... But we are privileged to have a master like him to listen. He is an amazing person. So inspiring ❤
Tuomas is always so humble ❤
It's a Finn thing to not brag. Humble creators. Just like the Finnish father of Linux Linus Torvalds stated straight up "Linux won't be anything big or professional" ...
Well, nowadays Linux kernel empowers most mobile phones (which majority of Android users don't even realize) nevermind Steam Deck and Chrome OS (Chromebooks).
Then there's of course the worldwide server department (even Microsoft trusts Linux rather than their own stuff). So then, let's put Darude (& Nightwish obviously) on and TORILLE!!! =)
Great interview as always from chaoszine! Thanks!
❤
Love Tuomas and Nightwish!
a Full Orchetstra Concert would be a great celebration... just putting it out there
I can understand why they have resisted doing it, but I have had a fantasy for years of them doing a show like that in some grand venue, like the Royal Albert Hall in London or something
@@raspberryripple88 yeah I guess IF they do something like that it will not be a classic tour , it would be very expensive to travel with full orchestra. But I would go anywhere on a planet to see that
@@ThomasLittle007 I agree. Like i said, i totally get why they havent done it, despite being asked about it for years; as you say it would be very expensive to do a full tour with a live orchestra. But I definitely think a couple of one-off shows, with an orchestra, in an incredible venue somewhere would be epic :)
I concur
That would be a DREAM come true✨💯
very good interview like always in this channel. thanx. tuomas rocks.
9:38 THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH WAS MEANT TO BE 45 MINUTES?!?! I'D LOVE TO HEAR THAT
I do really crave for Nightwish to do a really long song like Dream Theater's Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
Great interview - Tuomas always has interesting things to say, but this is enhanced by a thoughtful interviewer. Thanks!
Wow, what a compliment from the Genuis Tuomas to Floor
Certainly a nice and sweet compliment. I found Floor's interview in the Aardschok (Dutch magazine) and her comments about Troy very disappointing and unprofessional though.
@@Schelp1 Oh really! I tried to find something in english. I saw the dutch magazine for order. Is there english translation in it? I would buy it if that's the case. My dumb canadian brain doesn't know your lovely language.
@@Schelp1 i read it as well.. for me it's like she's just an employee.. she got nothing to say, which is kinda weird. So i get why she is saying all these things. I enjoyed ReVamp and especially After Forever more than Nightwish..
@@PauloRogério-k6t I have to admit that since the participation of Best Singers and all the (deserved and justified attention), Floor has been getting too carried away with Social Media for my taste. It became too much of a "Floor Jansen show" for me and she paid less and less attention to Nightwish, while a few years before Best Singers she was on a Dutch TV show and wondered why there was so little attention from the Netherlands for Nightwish. Finaly she got the attention with Best Singers but, In my opinion, it was too much about self-profiling and not enough about the great band she sang in. However, she did gave some negative comments in a Dutch newspaper about the management of Nightwish because she had to perform in Asia with Nightwish a day after the release of her solo record and now these comments about Troy in public. I can't say I disagree with her, but come on...prefer to keep such opinions private within the band and not in the media..
@@optimusakc The part i am talking about: "I missed him there too. I think Troy (Donockley, multi-instrumentalist) is an amazing guy and he sings too, but he doesn't have the voice that Marko has. To be very honest, I think Troy could have sung a little less on the new album. He sings very nicely, but that's it as far as I'm concerned."
I mean, it is not great PR to say something like that in the media.
Yesterwynde is a great album, and "The Day Of..."This is my favorite song on the album. Fantastic message and very catchy, just like "Noise" from Nightwish's "Human Nature" album. This band is incredible.
amazing interview, thank you. the questions asked were really good and interesting and ofc very intriguing what Tuomas revealed!
the best way to listen is from start to finish, with the lyrics and artwork in hand. YES! this is why music was so much... more... in the analog days. you deserve the full experience... and Tuomas, I'm sure, has provided it.
I think the experience of listening to music is just what you make it. Many do jump around more with digital as it's easier, but it's really also easier to immerse oneself in an album from start to finish since you aren't forced to stop listening to switch sides, like you had to with vinyl or cassette.
thank you for giving us this time with the Metal Mozart!
Although we're all eagerly awaiting the new album I think it's also very important to enjoy this great feeling of anticipation. I know that especially as a child you always want things like this to happen right now but as you get more patient you realise how this kind of excitement can make you so happy. I know that I probably sound old but that's just how I feel. Everytime I think about this new album and how much joy it'll bring to me I'm just so incredibly happy.
Think about it because we'll have to wait a couple of years before we feel this feeling again.
Thank you for the interview🥰
Great interview with Tuomas, thank you!!!
Wherever Tuomas takes his music I will strap in and go along for the ride. 🤘😎
Nightwish is Tuomas, it's his child, but I cannot imagine it without Emppu. His tone and playing is vital to the Nightwish sound. Now, Floor is the voice and I cannot imagine anybody being able to replace her. Troy and Tuomas are tight, so between Nightwish and AURI, I think that's going to last forever. Kai has become a backbone, much like Jukka was, when he suggested Kai. I cannot imagine a world without Nightwish now, but the loss of Floor or Emppu, I think, would mean that.
Not the same without Marko either
@@milton1448 Irreplaceable voice and bass playing. Jukka is a good bassist, but almost zero stage presence like Marco.
@@chadbennett7873 Well, being short time into Nightwish, Jukka can't have the same stage presence as Marco had. How would that be possible?
@@chadbennett7873 why compare the stage présence? They're 2 different people.
I love Jukka's bass playing more than Marko's
I find Troy totally disposable and I think he turns good songs into bad songs. He got to go.
Great Interview again.
So there will be something in 2026 ❤
Nightwish is its own GENRE. Just brilliant.
Great interview with well thought out questions! I really like how you managed to delve deep into Tuomas' creative process.
I can't wait for then so much magic ✨️ from the best band ever Nightwish
Toumas is an absolutly masternind....Love Nightwish 😀😃
I was expecting this interview to be heavier.
I hope the next interview is more powerful like the old interviews :P
😂😂
lmao
Thanks for the Nightwish interview. How about getting Emppu to sit down? Maybe offer him a Baby Ruth bar? Also, it was really nice to hear Tuomas compliment Floor's professionalism. It's heartwarming to know these artists are nothing like the stereotype spoiled brat rock-and-rollers. Bravo!
Certainly a nice and sweet compliment. I found Floor's interview in the Aardschok (Dutch magazine) and her comments about Troy very disappointing and unprofessional though.
@@Schelp1 Found it online, but could not find anything in English. What did she say?
@@Schelp1 if that was a written interview it could have some twisted sentences and less nuance than when on video?
@@tonyg8471 "I missed him there too. I think Troy (Donockley,multi-instrumentalist) is an amazing guy and he sings too, but he doesn't have the voice that Marko has. To be very honest, I think Troy could have sung a little less on the new album. He sings very nicely, but we’ve had enough of it as far as I'm concerned."
Troy already gets a lot of hate and then your own bandmember says something like that in the media. I think it would be better to discuss such opinions in the band.
@@Schelp1agree that it doesn't help Troy's image, but she said just her honest opinion, doesn't seem mean or against him to me..
Very good interview, thx a lot🤘♥️💜.
It's always nice to hear what Tuomas has to say, like e.g. now; big thanks to Floor, the recording studio&ppl there and the whole band and that Tuomas has got his best friends through the band and as he said; everything is fine in the band💖🫶💖. I love this band and Tuomas's humility. 💜.
Não está tudo bem na banda.
Ou melhor não está tudo bem entre o restante da banda e Floor Jansen.
@@PauloRogério-k6t she'll leave for sure, and Emppu looks like too
@@PauloRogério-k6t Well, you know, yesterday I found out that Italian symphonic metal band Ancient Bards are in fact dissolved, though there was no public announcement from them. Someone opened a restaurant, someone is playing and composing for other bands. So sad, they didn't finish their saga, the last album was good.
"If i mentioned one song, how would the others feel" ---- What a great line from an absolute genius. His quiet, humble, thoughtful approach is such a great example of how to conduct yourself.
Keith Richards also say something similar about writing songs. He said that songs are already made and that they come to him as if from a radio station when tuning in. Interesting concept.
What is the Welsh context of hiraeth?
Originally and chiefly in the context of Wales and Welsh culture: deep longing for a person or thing which is absent or lost; yearning; nostalgia; spec. homesickness. Till death be pass'd my love shall last, My longing, my hiraeth for Wales.
Thank you
🤘😎🤘
it's like russian "toska".. Vladimir Nabokov:
No single word in English renders all the shades of toska. At its deepest and most painful, it is a sensation of great spiritual anguish, often without any specific cause. At less morbid levels it is a dull ache of the soul, a longing with nothing to long for, a sick pining, a vague restlessness, mental throes, yearning. In particular cases it may be the desire for somebody of something specific, nostalgia, love-sickness. At the lowest level it grades into ennui, boredom
Cannot wait for the album to come out. Oh yeah and tell Floor to give up the coordinates to the fountain of youth
Kiitos. TUOMAS HOLOPAINEN olet paras.
❤lovely 🤟❤️🔥
Thank you Tuomas. You have given us the chance to swim in the sapphire waters of the night, to gaze at the stars and listen to the stories they have to tell. I know you are never going to read this, but I will forever be grateful for your music.
Human Nature masterpiece. Everything gelled to avperfection.
There is this idea that one must always be doing and doing something more. Be quiet and enjoy for a little bit!
Please bring everybody to celebrate the 30th anniversary: Marko, Tarja, Anette, Sami and Jukka Nevalainen. :)
We hope so!
Esquece.
Marko, Tarja, Anette won't come for sure
@@Mordorian_Orque Anette already said this spring on her IG livestream that she would be up for an reunion show/tour.
Nightwish🤘 ❤
🎉🎉🎉
I would love if Nightwish made an album about Skyrim. That would be sick. But all of the albums are amazing.
Why not of World of Warcraft which is a superior universe? You're so funny, indeed
"How would the other songs feel?"
The greatest show on earth was supposed to be around 45 minutues :O What in the world would that have sounded like?
Its already a very long song on the album, but i always thought that there was a lot more that could be told in the song (apparently i was right).
When Bioshock Infinite was released, they had to discard whole game/movie worth of story just to finally get something "out there" from what the creator had in mind.
"What in the world would that have sounded like?"
awful
I'm glad to hear he doesn't read comments himself... nightwish fans be salty abt everything, not even listening
I kinda saw that coming
Not only Nigtwish can't be held hostage to a particular music style but certainly not to what fans want and/or expect it to be, guess Tuomas didn't want to mention that 😄😉
"Heavy" is just so meaningless, I don't even know what do they all mean by that... Do they know it themselves even? Some fans are so dumb
Tuomas is Beethoven of nowadays
Бетховен жив, и музыка летит сквозь этажи!
"Nightwish will PROBABLY celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026...", meaning he isn't even sure if it happens in 2026, or even 2027..?
Because a leave of absence of more than 3.5 years is quite a stretch for a music band. They're not getting any younger.
There will be atleast some sort of celebration even if its not any shows. 😊
@@chaoszine they'll eat a cake with Tarja and Marko in the light of candles? LMAO
Well the decade tour was in 2018 so... lol
Genre: absof***genjoyable
It was hard to listen to the interviewer... questions are kind of vagues and most of the time are the miss of the point (like the question about NW music's genre or using old materials in new albums cus its ready😶🌫). like she isnt even prepared for the chat, even if she isnt fond of Nightwish music... not naming albums but "a couple of previews" ones?.. Googled a word that sounded nice but still has zero clue what does it mean...Tuomas as usual made best of that was possible to answer all this.
Sorry @chaoszine it was hard to listen. But thank you anyway for bringing to us once more this genius but at the same time humble and nice human being ❤🔥
For the 30th anniversary, I think it will be great to do a full orchestra concert (like de ones Epica does) and maybe invite Tarja (she recently said that her doors are not closed anymore) for at least one song 🙏 joining forces with our Valkyrie princess.
I knew that Nightwish would miss Marko, but it's just sinking in how much his departure would affect the band. I find the new material somewhat weak compared to what came before
Maybe everyone, including Marko, has moved on and explored more of the world, allowed it to open up to them, while you have stopped and closed yourself to the past.
Tuomas holopainen como compositor não deve ler comentários na internet, ele fica desconfortável em falar do futuro do nightwhish ele depende de outras pessoas.
Ansioso pelo retorno da banda AURI.
In some reactions they give about the song "timeless.....'" people didn't like the mixing, and how the music was made, they didn't like it, they thought a live orchestra was used, but they were disappointed. Some said there was used a AI. Others sad that Floor was buried in the song, that she didn't have enough lyrics to sing from that song. And others they told that Nightwish is throwing songs out.
Thumbnail only says Nightwish and Auri but Tuomas is also member of Darkwoods My Betrothed.
I love DWMB.
They're soooo good.
🤘🤘
For those who don't know of NW or don't get what NW is and stands for, I feel really sorry for you cause you're missing the opportunity to experience MAGIC and uniqueness ✨
I hope that Tarja and Marko will return to Nightwish, at least for this anniversary tour. :)
Tuomas never looks in the past so I doubt it...
Tarja and Anette were invited to 20 th anniversary, but didnt go to that show. Sami did and Jukka i believe.
🙈🙈
I'd love to see Marco, but could do without Tarja.
@@annev6895 were did they say that? Do you have any links? Thanks!
peaked with Wishmaster though
I like Oceanborn better, but I agree that era was the best
I personally think they peaked in 2002 - 2005. Century Child/Once era.
Dark Passion Play for me. Love the whole discography though!
You can make concert in 2026 with Tarja, Marco and Anette and Floor
We would love to see, when you do your final, all singers and and band members together💕
Absolutely horrible interviewer, very generic questions and definitely not prepared for that interview
Please replace this interviewer.
It doesn't matter how many times you ask the same question in a different context, no is no. Move onto the next question.
Unbelievable
I had to stop watching.
Realized too that I repeated myself, didn't like it either 🤷🏼♀️
@viivisankiniemi1590 I liked your interview, Viivi. You asked great questions that had been on my mind as well. 💐
Also, I dig your outfit. With Tuomas, like two peas in a pod.
@@viivisankiniemi1590 you had so cool ideas for questions at Arto's post on Nightwish Family group, but yeah, no difficult questions asked.
@@babatoa yeah that's a bit tricky to try to pick questions that are interesting and related to the context and still have a chance to bring something new. Tuomas doesn't really chit chat on every question and the time is always very limited. Also first time interviewing him (I was terrified). 😄
@@VNExperience thank you so much, that's kind! 🙏🏼
Nightwish always was about music,. it's sad that lyrics and THE MESSAGE are now dominating over everything else
It's not at all.
Bring Tarja back.
I liked Floor better before joining Nightwish.
But I think Nightwish was better with Tarja.
Never Tarja. Too much opera and she isn't good now.. Floor forever!!
