Fully respecting y’all’s personal decisions to show him on screen how much or little you want but just wanted to say it makes me happy to know that you’re surrounded by loved ones!! Thank you for your cozy travel and food vlogs that consistently suppress my unrelenting irrational day to day anxiety!!

I wanted to come to your space after watching your video on the old channel and just say how proud I am of you. The past few years have been hard for all of us, but your personal journey even more so. And your consideration for your community and constant effort to spread positive energy, even when being directly attacked. You are amazing. And on a much less drama filled note, I have loved the vibes on King Kogi from day one. The music, the atmosphere, the humor all flows so well together. It's a ton of fun and I always look forward to the next post.
It honestly makes me so happy when you and Dan make another video. I have always adored the work Dan does! It’s clear that he and Martina have amazing creative synergy. Hey Martina I just wanted to say I am SO proud of you. Breakups are hard and as a product of divorce I know how hard that was for you, I know the reality of how often people can just fold from the pressure and sort of stick to what is easy and comfortable. I'm simply amazed how you were able to pick yourself back up and continue to pursue your passions. It really is inspiring. As the great Cher once sang "Do you believe in life after love?" Okay, thank you so much for the vids Martina - your advice and recommendations are always spot on! I went to Taifu Hanten one rainy lunchtime 2 weeks ago and the curry blew my face off. Anyone visiting Osaka, this place is a must!
Hi Martina! Congratulations on launching your digital travel guide! Little tidbit for 14:57 -- I had some business trips in Kansai in the past and also noticed the single-person chairs. When I asked my Japanese co-worker about it, he said those were placed that way, specifically facing away from the tracks, so that a drunken person doesn't get up off the chair and walk straight onto the tracks.
Whaaaaat! That totally makes sense! Now that I think about it, many train stations in Tokyo have gates that open automatically to prevent people from falling/jumping on the tracks but I didn’t notice any in Osaka 🤯

Such a chill area! I hope you’ve had a steam bun from that shop. The area actually reminded me of some areas in Seoul that I loved, before they got knocked down and rebuilt with boring name brand shops 😭
I love that you show us the sights that regular tourists usually miss. I never planned when I went to Tokyo, though. I just randomly picked a stop on the Yamanote line and intentionally got lost exploring. ❤️ You find the coolest places that way!
Thank you for creating such great content and all the hard work that goes into it. I really appreciate how thoughtful you are by recommending a less noisy and crowded place to enjoy snacks, so anyone who might be overstimulated will be able to enjoy the same thing. Keep creating this wholesome content that I have enjoyed from you for years. 🙂
What a wonderfully detailed guide! Also, additions like "this area is loaded with flashing light and sound" can be really useful, so thanks for that! I also said "Yay!" when you said "PS Dan's here too": hurrah for old loyal friends! 😊
Shopping arcades in Japan are definitely something to check out. It seems "authentic" or "organic" compared to shopping inside malls. Malls may be more convenient (and consistent as to what you can find and how easy you can navigate), but if you have the time to spare to explore, the Japan shoutengai is definitely worth it!

Just discovered your channel. The fun editing, beautiful logo, attention to detail, the transitions and cinematic shots, the informative voice overs, and overall production of the video is outstanding. You gained a new subscriber and fan! Keep up the good work. -much love from canada! -jayson
Well hello fellow Canadian, Jayson! Welcome to the King Kogi community, thanks so much for subbing. Where about in Canada are you living? I was born in Toronto but my family hails from the Maritimes 🎣
At 12.19 I noticed what looked like a mobility scooter? Your travel guides sound INCREDIBLE!! It would be amazing to have one dedicated to mobility scooter users, because often what is accessible for wheelchair users still isn’t accessible to mobility scooters, like some lifts are too small and buses are definitely too small to get one onto. Also some sidewalks don’t have kerb cuts to roll up and down for either of us roller babe types! Oh and don’t get me started on steep hills or sidewalks that are diagonally sloped! So terrifying every single time. Travel guides with this info would be invaluable!
Information on food options like gluten free would be great! My entire bucket list used to be trying new foods like the ones you try--ramen, soup dumplings, etc...then I got diagnosed with Celiac. Now most of the foods on my list are things I can't have anymore, and a huge worry about traveling somewhere is if I'll be able to find something to eat--especially something *delicious* to eat. It'd be a helpful detail to include in your travel guide for a lot of people!!
Like a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow! I have a little grocery store that carries all kinds of special foods. I'm going to get some Japanese sweet potatoes and kabocha next time I see it.

So Fun! I definitely get the feel that Osaka is much more "ME" as far as cities go. I'll have to make this my city stop when I get to Japan.
Love the city tours! Hope you guys venture to those cute little mountain towns scattered across Japan. Absolutely love the small-time vibes and little regional treats! You go gurrrrrrl.
You’ll always have my support. Stay strong. I love this content, and have since EYK.
Love showcasing smaller neighbourhoods! Adding these to my list, thanks so much!
Just discovered your channel. The fun editing, beautiful logo, attention to detail, the transitions and cinematic shots, the informative voice overs, and overall production of the video is outstanding. You gained a new subscriber and fan! Keep up the good work.

Well hello fellow Canadian, Jayson! Welcome to the King Kogi community, thanks so much for subbing. Where about in Canada are you living? I was born in Toronto but my family hails from the Maritimes 🎣
@@KingKogi i’m from the cold city of Winnipeg! My wife and I plan to visit Japan this April. I just discovered your channel. Absolutely love it!
@@pwjayson You're going to just LOVE Japan in April, it's so lovely. Hello to your wife, and stay warm, eh!
A perfect lil Christmas gift to get a Martina video!
Love Love Love. TY Martina.
Yay!!! Thank you for your hard work!
