I really enjoy how each cafe's staff had an answer for another location they would recommend, and it basically brought you everywhere. What an interesting quest progression!
fantastic video!!! enjoyed every single minute of it! going to japan in november for 3 weeks (2nd time in japan) and this time my GF and me are going to check out osaka for a couple of days. we are avid coffee lovers from germany and are excited to test all of your suggestions out :D thank you so much!
@@Sunny_in_Japan of course! Also, takamura has an even bigger place in awajishima thats where they do most of the roasting i believe. A cozy drive-odekake kinda day. Ah, there's so many! :D
So looking forward to go back to Osaka and hit some of those coffee places!! Very nice video, well done and super informative ❤ by the way you have a great voice, it is super pleasant to hear
Thank you so much! I hope you get a chance to check some of them out ☕️ I appreciate that! I’m so sick of listening to my own voice so I get worried others might too haha
Before you even said what cafe your fave was I knew just by your facial expression after that first sip of coffee! I'll visit Aoma soon, thanks for this vid!
A bit late to the party, but great video! Thoroughly enjoyed it! And yes I will try to visit them! Osaka never intrigued me, but maybe now it has more.
This was great. They all look worth checking out. I'm always looking for new cafes when I head back to Osaka. One that I really like because it seems to be off the radar is Oh, ouioui coffee. It's on a side street off Tachibana dōri in Minamihorie. It's a tiny little place but the vibe is cool and the coffee is great.
Just bookmarked all of these cafes for my trip next year, thank you! I live in Melbourne, so I trust a fellow Melbournian for coffee recommendations. I have my flat whites with oat milk too so this was super helpful!
Thanks for a great video. I'm a fellow Victorian living in Osaka but not really a true Melbournian and therefore not a true coffee lover. However, I've been to Yard a few times as my wife loves chocolate and it's local to us. It's really nice. I've got a great mate coming over this new year who is both a true Melbournian and a coffee and wine lover, so this video has given me some great recommendations. Thank you!
I had that same (or a similar) Bolivian Geisha at Glitch in Ginza last year and it was the single best coffee I've ever had. Just did straight espresso. These guys REALLY know what they're doing and are a great example of what third wave espresso is about.
This was a really cool concept for a video. When I am in Japan in a few months, I think I'll do the same thing with my wife since we both enjoy good coffee. :) Thank you!
Really great video. I’ll be visiting from Florida soon with my family. Going to Tokyo and Kyoto, not Osaka. But I plan on visiting many cafes in both cities while we are there. Nice job.
Hello! As a Japanese person who has lived in osaka for my whole life, I enjoyed this video a lot:) There are lots of old cafes which open in the early morning, which is quite local. I really recommend them. (Kobe has lot more choices for old cafes 😊)
Great video! Those 6 are the ones I usually go, being Glitch, Takamura and Aoma my favorites for speciality coffee. Another one I would put in that tier is Barista Map, around Nipponbashi. Probably the best latte I ever had was there. Their ceramic cups are also really nice and the staff is super friendly 😁
If you head just a little south to Sakai city, I recommend June Coffee Osaka. Very good coffee and breads and also I super cool building. Can’t wait to see more vids! 👍🏻

Finally, a youtube video on Osaka I can use. As a kiwi, I always miss my quality NZ cafe coffee when I go to Japan. I am definitely going to check out yard and aoma.
When to Aoma and Glitch because of this video (was staying near glitch). Very good coffee at both but Aoma’s latte blew me away!! Maybe the best coffee I’ve ever had. Thanks for the recommendations Sunny, I used little parts from your videos on Osaka and Kyoto as parts of my perfect trip
Today I went AOMACOFFEE. I had a delicious coffee just as you described. I prefer sour coffee to bitter coffee, so I'm glad I did. There are good coffee shops in Minoh too.

Lovely video! Curious what gear you’re using to shoot? Editing and shots are crisp! Also Glitch was my partner and I’s favourite in Osaka! Will add the others to our list in our next visit
Great idea for a video! I would argue the cups you drink the coffee out of have a bit impact on the taste of the coffee. I wouldn’t think much of a good wine in a plastic cup or a mug, and I don’t know why some cafes insist on paper cups. Aoma is definitely one place I’ll check out next month when I’m in Osaka!
I think you know why I did that 😉 And I think if you go into the chapters of the video, you’ll find what you’re looking for pretty quickly, but I do encourage you to watch because it will give you important info along with the name of the cafe, which might be helpful for travellers 😊
すごいオシャレな動画でした! This shows how much you like coffee in Osaka! My recommendation is “Punto e línea” which is pretty Italian bar style and close to Takamura. And, I can’t miss also Embankment Coffee. That gives also fine light roasted coffee.
