- Hey guys! It's been a minute. Missed posting a lot and I am excited to be vlogging again! This video is mainly about Yara's diagnosis and how life has been with a Type 1 toddler. My baby is so so strong and amazing she has been handing this transition SO well and is the happiest little girl so we feel super blessed. This was supposed to go live in November which is Diabetes Awareness month hence the theme of the video, but Happy Diabetes Awareness month to everyone!! I hope you enjoy and are all doing amazing.

Sis, my son was 6 when he was diagnosed and it was the hardest news I received. It broke me. 😢The idea of giving him injections daily, multiple times a day. I cried for a week and prayed a lot. 10 years later he is a thriving, athlete/honor student, graduating this year and plans to study medicine to help find a cure. Prayers, gratitude and putting all our trust in Allah.

I just turned 18 and I’m pre diabetic, my dad is diabetic, one of my grandparents also were and I have to say I pay more attention now to my health and what I eat but I also leave everything in God’s hands he the only one who can protect us. Asaalamu walaikum. Fellow t1d and Muslimah present. It's definitely daunting in the beginning. It feels overwhelming. It seems as if Yara has a great community offering support, knowledge, and a willingness to self educate. May Allah swt take care of the rest.
Seeing her get poked reminded my of when my now 12year old nephew first got diagnosed with type 1 9 years ago at age 3. InShaa Allah it will get better. Maybe Allah make it easy on her.

My son was recently diagnosed in may with t1 at 15 months. I'm debating on leaving my job because work and managing this is hard. These moments are so precious. Just this morning his sugar dropped as I'm leaving for work 🫨😔 my brave lil boy

My daughter has been diagnosed September 2022, emotionally I don’t know where I am yet. But my daughter is adjusting so well. She does the injections herself and she got a libre now. Next year we’re going to look for a pump. Thank you so much for this ❤

Just saw your video you are so beautiful. Diabetes is something i am in my 40's and I am diabetic t2 insulin dependent as well..so whether you are diabetic t1 or t2 you can be on insulin

لقد بكيت معك واحسست بكل ماواجهتي من قلق من هذا المرض ابنتي اصيبت ايضا قبل سنه وهي ١١ سنه والى الان اوجه صعوبه بالسيطره عليه انه امر شاق ومتعب وياليت تخبرينا كيف تحسبي الجرعه ومالنصائح المهمه التي يخبرك بها الطبيب شاركينا الامر بالفلوق القادم وهل الاونسولين خارج الثلاجه انه امر مهم ان يبقى داخل الثلاجه انتي ام رائعه قواك الله
