You explained Tremolo picking well!! I never thought about it that way!!
thank you man!
Your tone is PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!
Can't agree more!
Killer lesson explaining exactly what's needed, and how good does that Dean sound!
yesssss Deans deliver. Thank you as always!
Thanks! Stuff to practice today! 😃
Great video as always
much appreciated thank you for watching
Thanks for taking the time to go back to basics occasionally. Some of us are still in the early stages, and new people are joining, so it’s appreciated.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks, Dev!!! Another great tutorial!
"Make sure your fingers are curved..." - easy for you to say, Mr Massive Hands And Fingers.😉My tiny female index finger barely goes across all six strings. But seriously, I've been finding these lessons really useful in all sorts of ways. Cheers!
I have tiny hands as well but it's amazing how different your hands feel after a few years of playing as they do when you started. Flexibility and familiarity make a big difference.
@@ArchibaldClumpy I have a good span stretch, close to 180° from playing bass when I was younger, but my main problem is short fingers. My index finger is only just big enough to fit across all six strings on a fretboard. Practice makes it easier, but unfortunately no amount of practice is going make my fingers physically longer.
Always great information and easy to understand. Great video!
you the man thank you!
Amazing channel and love the tone! Keep it up!
thanks man! stay tuned for more
Fantastic channel, fantastic tips! Easy to follow, straight to the point, and very encouraging; thank you so much!
Thanks man stay tuned for more
Very good tips thanks 👌
nice one bruv thanks for watching
Great lesson, these techniques are fundamentals
I hold my pick the same way you do, which I started doing in the late 80s, after seeing how Alex Lifeson of Rush holds his pick. Speaking of Rush, you just played a classic Black Metal flavor 1:52 that reminds me of some Rush chords used in their 70s tune "Cygnus X-1." I think Darkthrone uses similar chords, in a similar way, on their album "Plaguewielder." Just arpeggiated full Minor Barre Chords, I guess.
Ya holding a pick with 3 fingers is like so totally weird. Recently i saw that Metallica Guitarist Hetfield uses 3 fingers. I didn't think anyone did that LOL. so weird. Thanx 4 your Amazing Videos!
Love this man you are amazing !! please can you do sons of northern darkness by immortal lesson ?
yea will add to my list
@@DevGohil Anything by Immortal or Emperor would be awesome!
Epic
The anchoring of a picking finger under the 'e' for the trem picking is an ah-ha! moment for me. even for riffs it creates a stable 'zero point' to return the hand to consistently repeat the picking motion and are kind of guide rails to keep chugging on the tracks, your hand is then ready in muting position, and the technics all intertwine in economy of motion. the aggressive sound is misleading when a relaxed technic is actually needed to execute the musical parts.I must restrain & retrain my ham-fisted chugga-chugga choo-choo
Friend, can you explain how to get the tone you use in this video? (pedals/effects/amps) Thanks!
just plugged straight into an engl fireball
brutally great video, do you have some practicing tabs?:)
Yeah in my book
@@DevGohilfor beginners as well?
@@d4mnation647 yup
I am not sure what I learned first. Powerchords or Barchords
I always recommend power chords first
@DevGohil
Yeah it makes sense but when I started I tipped in "How to play black metal".
Well I cliked a video where someone was playing barchords.
Thanks for yor lesson. I dont know why, but I never realy tried pam muting. Your viedo helped me.
(I am still a beginner)
@@AvarTyrog it's all good bruv you're in the right space, thanks for watching
What pick do you use for tremolo picking chords?
Tortex sharp picks
What is your opinion on greek black metal groups like varathron and rc
not listened to either band much
I'm sure you will like the new rc album
Am I tripping or is that fretboard wide as fuck
i think this has a 26inch scale length
