Toma Root and Onion have quickly become my favorite veggies in my Warly World. Having Toma Roots on hand is great for Veggie Stingers, too. One Salsa Fresca, one Veggie Stinger, and my sanity is no longer an issue. I really love being able to amass specific crops in Reap what you Sow
I would say that farms are pretty underrated in DST. In DS they are pretty useless, but in DST, the hundreds of powerful dishes that include veggies make the farms very strong. Not to mention peppers and garlic in Warly's mill
open the video. Sees that it has 4 min. Thinks "great, short vid!". Then it ends and i'm like "noooooo, i want moooooore". Thank u once again for the youtube content, Jazzy!
I've farmed onions for a while, the dishes are really good, but even without the dishes, onions are really long lasting veggies in the salt box, so you can go on a trip, and still find good onions in the salt box
Curiosity: Salsa fresca is the portuguese name for fresh parsley. Another curiosity is that moqueca is a brazillian food that is maked of fish, pepers, shrimps, and some vegetebles, and is one of our best foods!
@@JazzysGames Yeah i love that short, but i think that was just a special soup of warly, but it wold be nice if was some of the foods here of my country, also nice video ; )
I think salsa fresca is spanish, like the mexican salsa we make, that would explain the piece of tortilla on top. But i don't speak italian or portuguese so who knows. Also, this salsa usually has fresh parsley or cilantro in it.
@@supbruh7793 ha, I have really bad ping on the last endless server, and never made armor cause I didn't want to waste comms resources, so I decided it would be less resources to have people revive me 20 times.
Gonna be honest, Toma Root and Potato's sound like the most basic yet perfect combo you'd ever need. Both give 20 Health cooked, can be farmed together for easy giant crops, and Toma Root can create Vegetable Stinger for a quick 33 Sanity.
I'd say Bone soup and Moqueca are the go to for me, since i play Warly a lot of the time. No other uses for a few mediocre dishes in normal crockpots, so the best use is for him. But i'm still really confused on how the crops will work, even tho i've watched quite a few videos, many times over. Might just be me tbh
I always end up growing potatoes and garlic so I can make a ton of creamy potato puree, as that's a dish that restores a TON of hunger, health, and sanity. I also grow dragon fruit with the garlic (as well as pomegranate, but that's just filler) so I can make a bunch of dragon pies before I fight dragonfly.
The two underated dishes: Veggie burger and beefy greens. 40 health, 75 hunger, and 5 sanity from beefy greens while a veggie burger is 30 health, 37.5 hunger, and 33 sanity. You could make beefy greens and, if you're really hurting for sanity, jelly salad for 50 sanity (also requires leafy meat). Or you can have veggie burgers and jelly salad. The only problem with these dishes is the slightly faster spoil rate, all of them spoiling in 6 days.
Ok, so I don't play DST, but I have thoughts on Grim Galette. Bear in mind this is with the assumption that the details are the same in DS as DST. I always thought Galette would work well with Wormwood, but what about Maxwell? I know his Max Health is super low, so just a fishstick or 2 can fix him up no matter what, but it also seems like a great way to get his sanity down fast, sort of a 2 birds one stone type situation. Also, Wartox. But doesn't his soul-dropping heal EVERYONE in a certain range? Even better. He can eat a Galette, get his health back up, and his buddies can eat galette to get their sanity up, at the expense of health they can expect to get back soon anyway from souls. Then with their boosted health kill a bunch of spiders or whatever and get more souls for Wartox. Finally, if Wartox's soul drop works on Wormwood, you could use that to increase the efficiency of Living Log farming, and can even do it without the Galette. Am I talking sense, or am I way off?
Man this hits different, the first thing man, salsa Fresca. Fucking just what I needed as those are veggies I moved underground with me, such a nice recipe
when a party have warly, onions soo good. but no warly, onions soo useless (compared other dishes) Normal characters only needed dragonfruit and watermelon (best and op for weather) and must needed mushroom farm, stone fruit tree and a bird cage (or cactus, ponds, wobster dens, birchnut tree, Lureplant etc.). They are so useful because all ingredients renewable 3-6 days and have too much interesting ingredients.
I take it you are using melonsicles for sanity? I mean, yeah that's cool except watermelons won't be in season until Spring, require ice from Winter, and only restore half the sanity as both onion dishes available to all players. But it's still a great sanity source if you have watermelons available. Anyways, I try to avoid the term "useless" as much as possible in a game where your choices are affected by the resources you have on hand. If you tell a new player that "onions are useless" then they'll just never use them even if there are no alternative options. I'd prefer to present as many different options to players as possible, weigh the benefit vs cost, and let them decide the worth of each option for themselves.
@Jazzy's Games onions have only two crock pot recipe and a recipe need a tomato (mean need more basic/improved farm) and other recipe need a lureplant.Best method for sanity needed honey, lureplant, butter or fish. My prefer method ''flower-catcoon'' farm (they only eat butterfly wings not butters) for butter because butter have 40 day for spoil and only needed a few bug net and some wall. my non-butter prefer method ''Taffy'' ''Jelly Salad'' and ''Melonsicle'' and/or ekstra method ''Surf'n'Turf'' use 3 fish and a monster meat so cheap and all values (hp-hunger-sanity) so OP. its mean ''no warly'' onions only more space in farm.
@v v Ah, I see. Improved/basic farms are about to be replaced with farm plots which make all crops much more accessible. It's the only reason I made this video. I recommend checking out the new farming when it gets released (probably this Thursday). P.S. I definitely wanna get one of those catcoon butter farms set up for Warly so I can make crepes.

Jazzy! I have a request to make. As a fellow Warly main, I have many uses for fish and frog legs (moqueca and frog soups galore!), and I would love to have an efficient automatic merm farm in my megabase! I built one using the portal to build a collection of craftsmerm houses and Winona's catapults but then found that the more distant merms would reset before being killed by the 'pults... poor design on my part. Long story short, I would love to see a video about your thoughts on merm farming methods! Thanks for the great content, keep up the good work!
Why are people defending farming and crock pot dishes so much, at the same time they go bananas about a few more percentage movespeed due to the time saved in game? In my honest opinion after having a playthrough with almost every single character and more than 1000 hours in the game, I rate the wx-78 hunger curcuit the best one in the game. Max hunger, less hunger drain. THAT'S the real time save. You can walk around in marble suit and have more time to spare compared to be bothered about cooking in this game. Clicking simulator.
Onions are cool but the mix of meat balls, pierogies and cactus flesh shuts down all needs for farming them for all characters with basic food needs.
