Project cars go kart racing is pretty realistic... Just grab a controller and you're good to go. Plays fine on air link. The bigger cars are a little harder to get used to. I wish the quest 2 had position controls like the OG htc vive had, it was really easy to adjust your seated position using grips to get the perfect view.
One that I play all the time is Euro and American Truck Simulator. They both have absolutely huge maps and a variety of trucks to select and customize. It is also very immersive due to the realistic scale of the trucks and functional mirrors. I know this is only for a select amount of people, but one of those people is me and and I really enjoy the games😬
Hey, thanks for including Bocce Time! in your list! It just launched today for anyone interested in checking it out! I appreciate you shedding light on so many games, Matteo! Your service to the VR community does not go unnoticed. Thanks!
i'd love to see into the radius on these lists eventually. i'm not much of a horror guy either, but the horror is a bit more "naturally-implemented" (no scripted jumpscares or downright creepy things, just moreso eerie), so if you're careful, it becomes more of a slow-paced strategy open-world shooter sort of game. i highly recommend it.

DIRT Rally 2.0 is absolutely the best racing game. Assetto Corsa is a close second. Im not a fan of F1, so cant comment on that. As for the rest of the games, I think Down the Rabbit Hole deserved to be at least in one of the categories, very nice puzzle/platformer/story driven game. But thank you, very nice video, and keep them coming :)
For VR racing games, I would say the 2 best ones with great VR implementation and easily accessible are Project Cars 2 and Automobilista 2. Other great VR racing games that I play regularly are Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally and Dirt Rally 2. Assetto Corsa Competizione is good too but you need a powerful PC and even then its PITA to get running well without compromises to the graphical quality.
Echo Arena really should have made this list. It's, hands down, the BEST VR sports game I've seen. Made by the same developers as Lone Echo 1 and 2, free to play on all oculus headsets!
Great detailed list! Racing is not for me but I know a lot of people who love that. The modders have been nailing it lately! I don’t have a PSVR (too expensive for me at this time) but those games look cool too! Thanks again for all your hard work!
Sandbox goes perfectly with vr, having a sense of freedom you otherwise wouldn’t have in real life. Being able to carry out tasks in bone works as you would in person, but in a setting that has no rules or limitations with tons of items at your disposal. Or blade and sorcery, realistic fighting, giving you freedom of where, who to fight with, and what to fight them with. You even have to ability to use magic. Bone labs is great two, kinda a boneworks dlc imo.

Assetto Corsa is the best racing/driving Vr experience there is! The amount of mods for this game is insane. You can get literally any track or car you want! You can race, drift or even cruise on a Japanese highway with traffic (shutoko) and so much more.

Great video! Loving my Quest 2, even more so with Virtual Desktop connect to my PC. Since you use KIWI as an advertiser I just wanted to put in 2 cents. I've gotten the headstrap, large controller grips, And the expanded face pad/interface. These 3 things have made the quest a whole lot better in a lot of ways. The grips knuckle duster straps are awesome for keeping your hands in place and keep em from getting tired. The facial interface keeps your head cool AND can let people wear their glasses comfortably while playing. THAT was a game changer for my boy, as he couldn't play with his glasses before and everything was just too blurry to enjoy. The headstrap is TOP NOTCH. Easier to put on and adjust for anyone, and keep the unit TIGHT in position. This company ROCKS. Best racing sim for me has to be Assetto Corsa, in large part because it is highly moddable and still has a big community producing content. Project Cars 2 looks nice, but AC drives better IMO.
Cool video, but I think you missed a "chill-out puzzle" category, or something similar. No other way to include Tetris Effect or Cubism (and they must be in anyone's list), among others. Blaston should've been somewhere in the PvP category, IMO.
Hey great video. Not really a racing game but driving all the same is American Truck simulator and European simulator where you drive rigs around erm America and Europe lol. Great in VR and even better using a steering wheel. Thanks again
im going to buy a quest 2, one question when you mark the game in the video as "quest" or "quest2", the quest 2 can run quest 1? and so quest 2 cant run skyrim? isnt marked in your list but on steam it is..
Automobilista 2 is in my opinion the racing sim in VR. ACC looks better slightly but the ams2 runs a lot smoother on a semi basic gaming machine and the car selection is a lot more varied.
Overlooked titles: DOOM (1993) in GZDoom w/ Brutal Doom VR - One of the best VR games out there, but maybe not for the squimish or those who get motion sick easily due to the high rate of speed DOOMGUY has. DOOM 3 (PC Mod) Can't speak to other platform versions, but it's absolutely amazing on PC. American Truck Simulator/ETS (VR is a beta branch), especially with a good steering wheel Wipeout on PSVR is still one of the best VR racers I've ever played Project Wingman - Which is basically Ace Combat but in full VR rather than the paltry 3 or so missions on PSVR Resident Evil 2 & 3 Remakes also have VR mods on PC, making them competitive with Resi 7 on PSVR Warhammer 40k Battle Sister is a competent shooter, which I'm enjoying more than Farpoint so far. "Puzzling Places" I really miss in this video. It's one of the highest rated games in the Quest store so far I know. It's totally addictive. I think it's my most played VR game this year. I also miss Ultrawings. The best racing game for me is for sure Whipeout. Mini Motoracing X is also very nice.
As far as flight sims go, I would take DCS over MS Flight Simulator any day of the week and twice on Sunday, because I want the most realistic experience and I am willing to flip switches and align gyros for 10 minutes to get it. 😛 I wish I could try sim racing as well, but I just can't spare the money--or have room in my apartment--for a second set of controls. Maybe someday. From what I've heard, iRacing is the DCS World of racing sims--the most realistic, most challenging, the one where you have a good chance of sharing a server with people who have done it for real.
BallisticNG is probably the best Wipeout-inspired racing game that also has VR support. Haven't played much of it but a lot of people like it and it's very fast-paced.
Horror really needed fnaf vr. I've never been so scared in my life. When I put down the headset I was full of sweat and shaking. Seeing those animatronics in vr while beeing in your little room with nothing to defend yourself is so fucking terrifying
If you are a quest user without a pc then I recommend Moon Rider, it is a web browser game that is like beat saber, except there is also a punching mode and it has a ton of user created levels and tracks, it definitely has some issues but I personally like it more. It’s not quite as satisfying to play but the addition of user created levels really makes it a good game.
Heard Hellblade is amazing now from multiple people, I should give it a shot before the new one releases. Pretty cool you can play it in VR, I'm assuming it's not first person? Something like Moss
Unfortunately I finished Senuas Sacrifice in normal mode, just few days before buying my first VR headset. And even tho I tried to check it in VR and it was amazing, I couldnt play through it again so soon, because its psychologically heavy game.

Barbaria is a hilarious game with surprisingly good combat, that seems to be a VR version of 'The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot' but on VR. So it doesn't look like it's gonna have a really lengthy lifespan - the last game didn't. So I say, get on it and have fun while you can. The upcoming action RPG Battle Talent, has combat physics and mechanics that trounce every other game like it, INCLUDING Blade and Sorcery. It's currently in Demo phase, pre release, and is a bit stuttery / laggy and bare bones, but still has more content than every other game like it. The demo has a sandbox mode, a story progression lite, a procedural replayable dungeon, and a boss with special animations at the end. If the dev manages to sort out the issues with that game it will defeat BnS.
iRace is likely the best simulation racing game available, and has a VR mode. But it requires a monthly subscription. If you have a racing wheel setup, this can be really fun.
Amazing that 2017 Farpoint still makes a 2022 list but, man, what an amazing game. It's my #2 VR game of all-time only topped by Half-Life: Alyx. Can't wait to replay when PSVR2 comes out!
Get the bobo vr m2 pro head strap it’s by far the best one you can buy the hmd don’t put pressure on your d face at all with this strap it’s phenomenal
DiRT Rally! I'm not a hardcore VR sim racer at all, more of a casual tourist :) I do got a G27 wheel with a manual shifter though (a must! I also drive stick so there's that). Just don't look back over your shoulder (Ruins immersion as the back half of the car is kinda missing 😁) Off the top of my head I've tried Asetto Corsa (barely, yeeears ago, hated it, maybe it's better now? Everybody but me seems to love it), Project Cars and DiRT Rally. DiRT Rally really got the best physics imho. I don't know about DiRT 2, even tho I got it I haven't gotten around to try it yet. Honorary mention of Distance, as it got a VR mode. In short that's more of an arcadey neon racer and not a sim at all (I play that more in pancake).
in terms of Racing games: Assetto Corsa and iRacing are the best for VR (not only for VR, for normal use aswell). AC has a lot of content and mods, iRacing is the best in terms of Multiplayersystem and racing.
If you buy a game via Quest are you able to hook it up to your computer to play it with the computer hardware for an increased resolution/refresh rate? or is the quest store's version cap'd since it was developed specifically for the headset?

Ive heard
Heard Hellblade is amazing now from multiple people, I should give it a shot before the new one releases. Pretty cool you can play it in VR, I'm assuming it's not first person? Something like Moss
Yup. You trailer behind senua 3rd person and it zooms out for cut scenes
Unfortunately I finished Senuas Sacrifice in normal mode, just few days before buying my first VR headset. And even tho I tried to check it in VR and it was amazing, I couldnt play through it again so soon, because its psychologically heavy game.
Agree with most of it, know of a few other must plays not listed but this was thorough. More VR sports games to include tho.
What games?
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 Hi Mateo, Birdman 🐥 Vegan Future suggests Sniper Elite VR, Wilson's Heart, Chronos, Artika1, Stormland, Phantom Covert Ops, Wanderer, Until You Fall, Horror Bar, Eye of the Temple, Budget Cuts, Premium Bowling, Forebowl, Dragon Fist, First Person Tennis, Xing, Hitman 3, 2MD football, vr shoot around, drums rock, hard bullet, sariento, surviv3, serious sam vr, Medal of Honor, BeanStalker, Rogan thief in the castle, , Warplanes WW1, Vermillion,
@@BirdmanVeganFuture I definitely wouldn't included a bunch of those but until you fall is excellent
As someone waiting for my first vr headset (pico 4) this was very helpfull👍
Just wish the pico store had a wishlist function 🤷♂
nice work!
Blaston deserves to be on this list
I originally had a 1 v 1 category but cut it
les goo thanks you :D
You 100% should add Assetto Corsa and if you get a good Sim setup (racing seat and wheel) you’ll easily fall in love
Just got myself a couple of games from this awesome list. Holy
Glad you enjoyed it
my real life is in Elite Dangerous
Can't wait to replay when PSVR2 comes out!
not sure it will be backwards compatible though. Totally different hardware. Different controllers and different tracking
Just don't look back over your shoulder (Ruins immersion as the back half of the car is kinda missing 😁)
Off the top of my head I've tried Asetto Corsa (barely, yeeears ago, hated it, maybe it's better now? Everybody but me seems to love it), Project Cars and DiRT Rally. DiRT Rally really got the best physics imho. I don't know about DiRT 2, even tho I got it I haven't gotten around to try it yet. Honorary mention of Distance, as it got a VR mode. In short that's more of an arcadey neon racer and not a sim at all (I play that more in pancake).
formula 1 2022 on pc in vr is awesome
Ragnarock is better than Beat Saber imo, especially if you like metal.
in terms of Racing games: Assetto Corsa and iRacing are the best for VR (not only for VR, for normal use aswell).
AC has a lot of content and mods, iRacing is the best in terms of Multiplayersystem and racing.
For racing nothing is better than iracing, but it’s intense.
For racing games, I wish forza motorsport would support VR... That has always been my favorite racing game series.
If you buy a game via Quest are you able to hook it up to your computer to play it with the computer hardware for an increased resolution/refresh rate? or is the quest store's version cap'd since it was developed specifically for the headset?
Sometimes a quest game also includes the rift (pc) version
Don't know if you've played it but shadowgate VR is a really great puzzle game
Shadowgate is great but I haven't finished it
