How to get Tlauncher/Minecraft on Chromebook

- In this video I show you how to get Tlauncher which is a Minecraft launcher on Chromebook. I am sorry for how long the video is but I explained everything very clearly there might be links below. And make sure to like and subscribe.
Commands:
1. sudo apt install default-jre
This is not part of the command but if it asks you: do you want to continue [n/y] press y and enter
2.java -jar Minecraft.jar
this is not part of the command but you have to do what I did in the video to make this command work.

Ive followed this tutorial correctly but i still cant get past the java -jar Minecraft.jar command because every time i do it says "-bash: java command not found".Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?

Hey if this isn't working for you in 2024, run this command before starting then everytihng shoud work. sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Only video i could find on this, I have experience with Linux on chrome OS and still couldnt figure this out. Amazing that someone who sounds half my age could do this. Leave this man a like, sub, and comment XD

@@splatinumm Bro at least he had the brain power to do it, unlike you who had just used the last of their brain power to hate on this video.
The way that he said about not needing to repeat the process did not work for me but tbh it made this way easier, we just have to turn on Linux mode then open 'Terminal' and put 3 commands (Command 1: sudo apt install default-jre Command 2: java -jar -name of file-.jar Command 3: sudo apt install menulibre). Put the first command and press enter and then the second command and press enter again and then the third command and press enter once more all at the same time without closing the app or anything, at last it'll open Tlauncher and just write your username and select the game version. It'll take a few minutes to load but then right after you can play minecraft with no trouble with the code, the next time you want to play minecraft just repeat the steps and you'll be good to go.

And btw thank you to the creator of this video cause this trick might have taken some time to work but it was the one that was easiest to understand.
So, when you create the shortcut, it doesn't work, and it will load infinitely, but, there is a way to fix this: when you are creating the shortcut in menulibre, once you click "command" and find the .jar, and hit ok, you have to go to the beginning of the text where the path to the jar file is, and add "/usr/bin/java -jar" (no quotes) and make sure there is a space between this new line and the path.

Ive already got it running thx about the advice btw but when i start installing it from tlauncher it can get up to 10% then all of a sudden it crashes. Is there a way to prevent it happening and by it crashing the installation cancels. I hope you can help me ty in advance.

Everytime i join a world it crashes and says minecraft has not started because of an unknown error. Does anyone have a fix?

what i try launching 1.19 it works fine but when i load up to a world it kicks me out and says i need to update drivers

i got it running well the first few times but now whenever i try loading it it says i have no disk space left even though i have 16.2 gb of disk space left can someone help ive tried clearing all of the things on my device
try clearing you browsing data by pressing Ctrl+Shift+backspace at the same time. If not clear your downloads but not the tlauncher one.

it didnt work after i did the last command and pressed enter there did came some thing and loaded to 100% but then it didnt open tlauncher but said that there was an error :(

I haven't done anything wrong. I did all of the correct things but I don't get the pop-ups you get at 10:16. Also, whenever I press install when i'm installing a version, it crashes, and I have to do the whole code again to get the app open again, and then I have to install the version again! Plus, when I tried to turn on Linux (Beta), it didn't say beta. Just Linux. Please help ASAP.

dude mine has a limit on the mouse For example: it doesn't rotate the entire screen, when I want to look down it shows the bookcase you know how to solve?
you have to go to chrome://flags and enable pointer lock and pointer lock options. hope this helps!

EDIT: okay so i remembered i had already installed another java thing where i can install java files but it wasnt working well but you cant run two different java so i uninstalled linux then reinstalled it to wipe its previous instalations and bam fixed it. And now the command works and installed it. : D thank you!!!

I use a Lenovo Chromebook and everything works fine until I get to when it starts loading, where it gets stuck randomly at a percent, in this case 32%. Any way to troubleshoot?

@@Sluskey yeah TLauncher is bs anyway, but jic get minecraft.deb and get an account, and use optifine. I can run it at a solid 40fps on my crappy chromebook with a few lag spikes here and there
Also, you run N64 games (Mario 64, Zelda Ocarina of Time) using M64 Plus FZ emulator from the google play store on a chromebook. It runs at a perfect 60fps with no lag spikes. If ur into that sort of thing, I can tell you how to do it.
