Whenever you get saved by the totem of undying, you could be transported to the deep dark dimension. It's better than just a key to the portal, while also allowing hardcore players to enter.
The "Mojang Isn't Lazy And Here's Why" video, if you've got the time and motivation to make it, feels very needed. As a fellow software dev, it's crazy how many people have no idea what professional software development is like, yet still hold strong negative opinions about big game devs like Mojang for "being lazy" and "not listening to the community" whenever they don't get everything they want added in each update. Some of that is because Minecraft's biggest demographic skews younger, I'm sure, but a lot of it is just... people think being a dev on Minecraft is the same as being a modder, only you get paid for your mods. That's a fundamental misunderstanding of the industry *and* the structure of the game's codebase. (Can you imagine if working at Mojang meant using Forge or Fabric? 😂) And the number of times I've heard "but Microsoft money is rich! They can just hire more people to get everything added in time!" and had to respond with, "So there's this famous book in the industry called The Mythical Man-Month... you should give it a read..."
i have a cool idea for a new way to enter the dimension. the key could still work, either through finding it in a chest or by killing the warden, but then you would need to find a new block inside the building under the portal, something that looks like a shrieker but a bit different and with a rectangular keyhole on the top, and once you insert the key, everyone in a 2 block radius will be sucked into the dimension, their inventory being stored in a new block, the skulk box. it is an ender chest like block that can store an infinite amount of items, with the most recent 27 items being shown in the inventory like grid, needing to be removed before the older items are shown. the inventory is only shown to one player at a time, but items can only be removed from it, it is also not able to be picked up, just like the reinforced deepslate blocks. it is always located just in front of any skulk dimension portal. this way the portal can be activated from inside the dimension and be a way to let the player traverse between dimensions without having to lose their items and spawn in a random spot each time just like the original idea
I really like this, but I think you could release a version 2. First, you could make it so the warden drops the key, and the key could be “the heart of the deep,” looking like a skulk heart. It could also have eye offender mechanics, and it leads you to the nearest deep dark if you leave the place but can’t find it again. You could also need to throw the heart into the portal, and when you jump through it’s there waiting. Second, you should add 1 more mob: the guard. Basically a lanky warden with less health, but spawns more often. Lastly, if you die there, you respawn in a random prison cell within 1000 blocks of your death with a map to your stuff. Also can you make ores spawn there if they don’t already? I really like this new dimension mod because it doesn’t add dumb mechanics and crazy things that should be in another mod completely. Keep up the good work!
I think, given the time and resources, Mojang could make it so you can die in hardcore and go to the sculk dimension. Something like a reworked totem. Imagine the requirement is to have a certain effect applied to your character or item in your hand and are within range of a sculk catalyst, you transport to the sculk instead of die. Then, in the sculk, death causes you to return home instead of die-die. Find the portal key in the sculk and you can return home with your gathered loot. Then, you either make it so the portal stays open so you can jump back in with armor and enchants, or make it consumable so the whole dimension is a rogue-like. I loved your idea of being forced back to 1 when entering the sculk, and that would just be amazing
Mojang is not lazy. This man is just going so above and beyond in 7 days to bring people entertainment. This guy is incredible subscribe to him right now.

@@angelicaalvarez4915 And they've done that. Got an End update, Nether update, and literally every other update was related to the overworld. So next up is a new dimension
2 suggestions: 1) have the portal need 4 keys: one for each corner, just like the end portal needs several ender eyes. 2) make the mechanic to enter the dimension toggleable, players can choose how they want to play. I personally find the first option much more creative and it also provides a basis to add special powers/functionality to the ghost-gamemode.
I would make the blinker alongside a tall and slender mob called "The Watcher" or something like that, which spots you and calls nearby Blinkers or some blind flying things that are controlled by it.
To enter the dimension, you could have made the recovery compass lead to a mob in a 100 chunk region, kill it, and it'll drop the key to the portal. Also super cool job on the Blink!
We need more positivity about the game in this community. I think a video about what Mojang does right would be a good thing, especially for a youtuber which such a big audience.
Feels like the mechanic of dying on a sculk catalyst would be really cool. As when you first get in your main focus would be to sneak around until finding a portal and getting out. afterwards you can bring your gear and explore
I like the blinker. An idea I have is a giant snake mob that unburies itself when stepped on. It would add to the eariness vibe of walking around the dimension and the need for the player to watch their step.
Mojang laziness isn't in new content, it is in quality of life stuff, you cannot convince me inventory sorting is bad for the game in any way, or a simple way to know potion recipes ingame!!!
Honestly this is what I’d want a deep dark dimension to be, not just a version of the nether filled to the brim with sculk but truly a nightmare dimension only for those up for the challenge, good work!!
Got one issue with this. Whimzee you are directly breaking Minecraft TOS by letting people only have access to the mod via your patreon. Its not even early access. Mojang will and should technically get your butt and whoop it for being so blatant about this. I am not saying I dont appreciate the work you put into your mods. But 15 bucks just to play a mod? That may not even get updated in the future? Dog you know this is sketchy af and that you can be had for this, why are you doing something this silly that can easily get you into a lawsuit with Mojang? I am not saying this out of hate or to make you stop producing content. Please do keep going. The idea of this mod alone sounds dope as heck. But you are treading in unsafe waters man. It may not happen today or tomorow. But its gonna happen. The moment Mojang gets wind of this you are Fu***d.
*people when a youtuber doesnt want to give away 50-100+ hours of work without getting anything in returnl* It might be against TOS, but TOS doesn't determine what's morally right. People are being entitled with thinking they should receive everything for free. That being said, I do agree with that this might not be the wisest choice as mojang can get him for this, but people who's reasoning is: "Mods should be free because I don't want to pay for mods" are just being entitled af.
Based on some reply i saw For the hardocore issue you can make a sort of totem that the warden drops and when you dye on a catalyst you lose our items but you dont technically "die" you just get teleported
5:56 here is my idea to save your original idea! New item: Blink's wind Description: And item only found in ancient cities chest or by killing the blink in the wardens dimension. this item can then be combined with a totem of undying to transport the player to said dimension New craftable item: Totems tomb Description: While holding a totems tomb, when the player is killed their items, armor n ect. Will be incased in a stone chest that will be placed in the spot they died, and looming over the chest will be the players shade. If the player dies again in the wardens dimension they will drop any items they obtained in the dimension and be returned back to the overworld. They will have to go back to the spot they died and have to kill there shade in order to get a key to open the stone chest. However! once the player has found the wardens key and open the portal, dying in the dimension from then on will become permanent.
I always liked to imagine that the antient city was built by whatever came from the portal, rather than an underground city building the portal, so I appreciate that you made the entire dimension a type of artificial metropolis. It makes it feel like something was attempting to expand, only to be stifled by something on our side of the portal, then they left the warden to defend the gate before fleeing.
i definitely am interested on your take on Mojang, i think the community respects your work a lot and your voice could provide a positive change on the narrative.

Make a mob vote and MAYBE on a good day add some new blocks 😭
Completely ignoring the fact they have to put way more effort into literally everything about the game, including balancing, bug fixing, making sure the community likes it, that it fits into the game, etc etc is pretty wild lol.
@@Coercioner the mod made in this video in 7 days (I’d say it’s pretty balanced) proves that in every way. The creator means no hate, but as someone learning to code in Java, it doesn’t take more than a week to code a new mob.
@@BlizV2 the length of time it takes to code isn’t the problem, its everything else. Mojang has to worry about having it be a good addition to the game, makes sense in the game’s ecosystem, bugfixes, making sure that Microsoft agrees with whatever they change. Then they show it off, do a few snapshots to judge the player’s reactions then tweak it based on that. Then AFTER all of that they have to figure out a way to implement it on every console(including mobile which is a pain) and code it in an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT ENGINE. Acting as if Mojang just has to code the mob in a week and be done with it makes you seem incompetent.
tbh i think you could make the death concept work. maybe if you die near sculk in hardcore, it doesn’t end your world, and instead transports you. that’d honestly give hardcore a really fun late-game challenge restarting from scratch
The subwoofer is such a good idea all around. So much less restore required for collection, elytra launch pads, etc. It would be nice if this was seriously considered by Mojang
I think you should've kept the feature of dying to enter the dimension, but also added a crafting recipe that allows you to create a key to enter, this could allow for 2 types of gameplay, the prison escape gameplay, and the dungeon run gameplay
Man i just love paying a 15 dollar a month subscription for this CRAPPY MOD, like seriously 15 dollars for a mod you made in 7 days? I've seen better scam calls
Putting mods behind a paywall is illegal, quit the bullshit and own up to it. Just because you want more money from your creation doesn’t make it right. You can earn money from UA-cam and mod uploading sites. Disappointed yet again by your determination to break the EULA.
You could technically still do the "dying to enter the warden dimension" You could opt for a "Totem of Dying" You would need to craft with a "Totem of Undying" and some skulk crafting material. Than you would have to die, but instead of really dying the totem would protect you and send you to the dimension instead.

@@dominickeijzer5844 🤣 you have no clue how developing works do you. There is 1000% such thing as a private and public mod. Look at literally any other moddable game like mc, and try to tell me there's mods that you can't get access to because they are PRIVATE.
this is a sick idea
Where have you been? Please come back.
This is shockingly similar to a mod I’ve been working on for about a month, but with some interesting changes.
Edit: also a professional software engineer too. Just heard your part about the red tape and if this isn’t the truest thing. My current day to day job has so much red tape, I have so many features built, tested, and ready but the layers we need to go through and the tape within the company is insanity.
The community would really benefit from a mojang isnt lazy vid, specially from someone who knows what they're talking about, like you.
9:30 yes i would
Whenever you get saved by the totem of undying, you could be transported to the deep dark dimension. It's better than just a key to the portal, while also allowing hardcore players to enter.
Isnt it against mojang's tos to sell mods?
If that’s true then they’re mad hypocritical with the minecraft store on bedrock
Yep
This should be higher, sick and tired of people locking mods behind paywalls
Which is why he's not selling it directly. It's a free reward for joining his patreon.
Yes, unless you sell it through their marketplace
The random clips from the Minecraft movie trailer, I'm CRYING- 😭😭
This concept looks so cool tho. I love the aesthetic. Good job man
At least he didn't put in the "I am Steve" clip
i have a cool idea for a new way to enter the dimension. the key could still work, either through finding it in a chest or by killing the warden, but then you would need to find a new block inside the building under the portal, something that looks like a shrieker but a bit different and with a rectangular keyhole on the top, and once you insert the key, everyone in a 2 block radius will be sucked into the dimension, their inventory being stored in a new block, the skulk box. it is an ender chest like block that can store an infinite amount of items, with the most recent 27 items being shown in the inventory like grid, needing to be removed before the older items are shown. the inventory is only shown to one player at a time, but items can only be removed from it, it is also not able to be picked up, just like the reinforced deepslate blocks. it is always located just in front of any skulk dimension portal. this way the portal can be activated from inside the dimension and be a way to let the player traverse between dimensions without having to lose their items and spawn in a random spot each time just like the original idea
6:04 okay hear me out, wouldnt be easier if you just coded the shriek part like mojang did, like you know it emits sounds

Nah that’s a biblically accurate breeze
YOO CALVINNN
0:24 awesome concept and it makes the wardens name make sense
did Whimzee finally get into datapack-less modding territory? YIPPIE!!
Always excited for a new Whimzee upload
Best interpretation of the Warden/Deep Dark dimension I've seen yet. I'd love to see this expanded upon into a full blown dimension mod
nice video and mod, but you broke the EULA for selling this mod

I dont normally leave comments on vids but ive been binging ur mc updates in 7 days series and all of ur vids are such high quality i felt like i needed to say somrthing lmao good job :)
You could have made it so you need to craft a skulc trap, that when stepped on, it teleports the entity to the warden dimation and then it breaks 6:09
That subwoofer is genuinely such an amazing idea that feels right at home in vanilla Minecraft.
Imagine if the new mob, the creaking, live in the sculk dimension!
Exactly, pale garden also kinda fits the theme
no because mojang said they want to update every dimension before they add a new one
@@angelicaalvarez4915 And they've done that. Got an End update, Nether update, and literally every other update was related to the overworld. So next up is a new dimension
@@CrissPBacon we need a new end update though
@@CrissPBaconI’d be patient and wait for an actual end update before a new dimension
2 suggestions:
1) have the portal need 4 keys: one for each corner, just like the end portal needs several ender eyes.
2) make the mechanic to enter the dimension toggleable, players can choose how they want to play. I personally find the first option much more creative and it also provides a basis to add special powers/functionality to the ghost-gamemode.

A lot of people have a certain look in mind, but you not only maintained it, you also expanded it, and made it much better and fun-looking. Great job!
I would make the blinker alongside a tall and slender mob called "The Watcher" or something like that, which spots you and calls nearby Blinkers or some blind flying things that are controlled by it.
The cake was a lie 2:09
That cobble is a lie
YO PUFF. Do another Collab with swayle
To enter the dimension, you could have made the recovery compass lead to a mob in a 100 chunk region, kill it, and it'll drop the key to the portal. Also super cool job on the Blink!
dawg this is a really cool mod and all that but why the hell is this 15$...
it's literally against mojangs end user license agreement (which you have to agree to to play) to paywall mods, meaning it's illegal...
If I had a computer I would willingly pay for this
We need more positivity about the game in this community. I think a video about what Mojang does right would be a good thing, especially for a youtuber which such a big audience.
video's gonna be 2 minutes long
perhaps the player has to dye / sacrifice himself with a totem in his hand. In that way it works for hardcore
Feels like the mechanic of dying on a sculk catalyst would be really cool. As when you first get in your main focus would be to sneak around until finding a portal and getting out. afterwards you can bring your gear and explore
7:19 nah thats brutal 💀
I like the blinker. An idea I have is a giant snake mob that unburies itself when stepped on. It would add to the eariness vibe of walking around the dimension and the need for the player to watch their step.
10:08 i cant stop thinking about geometry dash
The labyrinth is amazeing. Great video dude!
I love your building style, especially the unique shapes and lore you have.
He also removes you from the Discord if you bring it up

*people when a youtuber doesnt want to give away 50-100+ hours of work without getting anything in returnl*
It might be against TOS, but TOS doesn't determine what's morally right. People are being entitled with thinking they should receive everything for free. That being said, I do agree with that this might not be the wisest choice as mojang can get him for this, but people who's reasoning is: "Mods should be free because I don't want to pay for mods" are just being entitled af.
This is extremely unique! all other warden dimensions are just nether reskins but this one's actually cool!!!
If mojang sees this, they BETTER ADD THis maybe one or two adjustments but yeah
Based on some reply i saw
For the hardocore issue you can make a sort of totem that the warden drops and when you dye on a catalyst you lose our items but you dont technically "die" you just get teleported
Bro doesn't show the final product 😭
Because he wants to lock it behind a paywall. Which is against the EULA.
5:56 here is my idea to save your original idea!
New item: Blink's wind
Description: And item only found in ancient cities chest or by killing the blink in the wardens dimension. this item can then be combined with a totem of undying to transport the player to said dimension
New craftable item: Totems tomb
Description: While holding a totems tomb, when the player is killed their items, armor n ect.
To anyone thinking Mojang is lazy….
It’s Microsoft. It’s always Microsoft.
I love the idea for the blink! i also think that a fitting name for them could be Gaze, since they're constantly surveying the prison complex :3
WHY NOBODY REALISES THAT THE "PORTAL" IS A WARDEN HEAD
A warden head with a suspiciously portal-shaped portal
The subwoofer concept/idea is crisp ! Well done.
$15 for a mod is wild!

You can love minecraft and hate Mojang if you feel like it.
They can give as many reasons as they want, the fact is that a solo developer worked on a whole new dimension, 2 new mobs AND RECODING THE SPAWNING SYSTEM to make an EVENT yet what does Mojang do? Make a mob vote and MAYBE on a good day add some new blocks 😭
Well the mob vote is no more at least

It would be nice if this was seriously considered by Mojang

real
This is what I’m saying
You could technically still do the "dying to enter the warden dimension"
You could opt for a "Totem of Dying" You would need to craft with a "Totem of Undying" and some skulk crafting material.
Than you would have to die, but instead of really dying the totem would protect you and send you to the dimension instead.
