What a delightful young man. How great that he was able to get these meds at a young age so he can enjoy the rest of his life in a healthy body and be there for the new baby. 🥰

In the UK you have to be Type 2 Diabetic to get Mounjaro for free on the NHS - and this is also based on regional variations too - due to funding differences. This might change in the future but for now everyone else has to purchase privately. We don’t have compound versions ‘legally’ in the UK. A kwikpen costs between £80 and £200, depending on strength and support program. Love you guys and the show ❤
Mounjaro can be prescribed beyond two years in UK but most pharmacies choose to keep to the initial guidelines, this changed about three months ago. There are a few pharmacies that will prescribe for as long as patients want as long as the BMI doesn’t go too low.
@ It’s recommended that you are already registered with a pharmacy and have a BMI of 25 or over, however they will consider people on a case by case basis for patients that are 20 - 24.9, obviously supplying proof of previous prescriptions etc and ethnicity if applicable as some races’ ideal BMI is lower eg Asian people is 23 or lower.
I am from the Uk. My GP has told me the nhs are likely to allow doctors to prescribe to obese patients next year. At the moment we all have to order via a private prescription. Some online prescriptions you have to show updated pictures and a picture of your weight loss. It took me 2 days to get my first doses. Possibly because I have other Co morbidities. My own doctor was informed as well.
I’m in the U.S. & the way he describes getting the medication is exactly how I receive it. Just purchase it online & receive it at my door nearly immediately.
Really enjoyed this conversation with Zak. Another UK Mounjaro person here. Only 3 weeks in so far though. Already noticing a huge difference in how I feel
I'm male, 42, been to the gym (seriously) on and off since I was 16. Put 5 stone on since covid (wasnt training due to spinal injury suffered at work). Back in the gym seriously in Jan this year (at 26 stone). Hit a plateau in june, weight wouldn't shift any more. Started Mounjaro 5 weeks ago. Still training, lost 2 stone, 2% body fat, cholesterol is down 2 points, not struggling with snacking. Now just over 20 stone. This is a very effective weightless solution. If you also train regularly and know nutrition, you will likely see increased results, in my opinion. I went from waiting to have a heart attack in January to feeling quite fit again. My cardio fitness has greatly improved since starting mounjaro. For all those criticising the drug, or the people for taking it, please look at the research. This is, as all drugs, a risk vs reward calculation.
Zack am in the uk and agree with everything you have said . Feel very lucky being in uk being able to get the meds privately. Not many people talking about it but am 3 stone down 7 lbs to go . As you say can’t believe how easy it’s been as You say waiting for the torcher but just been amazing 🎉
I continue to lose weight and average well within the recommendations. My doctor and I have a plan which has worked and continues to work. There is no rush. This is a marathon not a sprint
In Belgium we can now finally ask our doctor to prescribe Mounjaro. I will see mine this week!

What's too low?

@@michellethomas1707 as long as you have a BMI of 35 or above I believe.

Where do you get it?
@@tammyrunyon4457 I was getting it through Emerge Weight Loss but now I use Citizen Meds which is cheaper & just as effective.
@tammyrunyon4457 I think we would have to have a UK address. Should we plan a trip with an Air B N B ? :)

Christopher have you thought about taking a break from tirzepatide for a short period and coming back at a lower dose?

Great job on losing all that weight! I’m so sorry, I must have misunderstood and I thought you were on a plateau.
No worries - always happy for the thoughtfulness
