Listen to Daniel Svensson and also Jaska and then listen to the other people they had there. See who got the best sound job. That is what I referring to.
anyone who says anything negative against this drummer...or says he sucks def. doesn't know much about music and drumming....id like to see u post a drum cover for this song and doing it better....as for this festival, this is jst a performance of one of c.o.d's songs, not a friggen drum solo lol....don't go by jst what he plays in his songs, cause that doesn't tell u everything about a drummer...
ive heard the sand ride and the trash hat and they are awesine :-p some of the byzance cymbals are good too but it just seems to me meinl cater for metal more then anything else. although i think metal is kind of mainsteam in germany so that might explain it. things like funk and jazz are kind of the underdog..

@philisthemaster no it's not. it's VERY simple, the occasional hi-hat trick is about as tech as he gets, and some of the tom tom stuff he does at the beginning.
Hah... Someone says that Jaska is bad? He is not bad, his technique is awesome and unique, maybe he's not the fastest or he doesn't have the best tehnique but he is UNIQUE. You can't judge him that he sucks. Listen to Bodom's music and you will see that his drums hit to the song like fist in your face. I hate people who say some professional drummer sucks!
Well this song isn't the hardest of COB...you're right...depends on the song,but yeah,Daniel was way better on Meinl Festival this year...just look at The Mirror's Truth how he nailed it. ;) Thumbs up dude-and yeah,I like both bands xD

It sounds like Meinl kinda screwed the metal guys' sound up. All the other videos I watch of non-metal drummers at this thing have a lot better sound quality. Metal hate on the part of Meinl?

Jaska has a better technique...That's clearly to see,and his a little bit faster. But all in all I think they are both very good drummers. =) Well...they both are endorsers of Meinl..so they are even MORE better xD.
10 years and still does'nt understand why he plays the way he does? After ten years you'd expect one to understand why a drummer chooses to play the way he does, not just how. But i suppose the one who's been playing the drums for ten years just earns the right to tell people their noobs. After all, he's just a drummer, right?. Seriously, if you're interestd to know why it's so "simple" then i suggest you listen to in your face and listen to the SONG, not just the drums.

I think it's just for annoying you ;). Nah just kidding. I think it's just some sort of test, and listen how great the drumming fits into it. It's just my guess.
Sucks. He wavers in and out of time with his own click track, and it reminds me of when I was 12 and playing around with a Cassio keyboard with the little drum finger pads on it.

@wreckage06 you can program metronomes to sound like anything, such is the case in this video.

I play guitar and keyboard,not drums,but I can say that his solo of Chaos Ridden Years DVD is BEAST.
