I have a better method, which costs only 10 points to realize, and is way faster. 1st step: HOLD an empty bucket. 2nd step: Fill the bucket with water by left clicking on a body of water such as the emergency shower on the base. 3rd step: Hover the red arrow on the interaction menu on an object to COLLECT. this persists throughout any object that has the same option for handling. Note that the bucket must still be filled with water. 4th step: Freeze the waters by toggling snow mode on, you can do this by checking your keybinds in the pause menu and scrolling all the way down until you see a empty bind titled "demo snow mode" and assigning a key to it. 5th step: Crouch near the leftmost corner of the emergency shower in the base, while it is frozen. Note that you must be *NEAR* the corner, not directly on the corner. 2nd note: You can still fill a HELD bucket with water even if the body of water is frozen. 6th step: Look down while near the leftmost corner. 7th step: Throw the water out of the the bucket by right clicking. As soon as you do this, start spamming the "E" key, this will make you collect the water droplets it releases, as for some reason it has an interaction menu. The water droplets when collected, will look as a battery, and sell for the same price as one, which is 10 points. (Bonus note: The water droplets can also be held. When held, they act as a better sponge, much like the big sponge. This is very useful for cleaning the signal room's window. 8th step: Repeat steps 2 and 7 until the desired amount of water droplets are reached. 9th step: Buy an Item Box from the store. 10th step: Sell the water droplets. 11th step: Profit.
I've tried both methods a few weeks back and the water droplets have a battery texture in the inventory and pretty much are just batteries, so they sell for the same (10 credits) when this method duping and selling accumulator batteries is 38 credits. When i did this before id sell 500 water droplets every few days then i found out about the battery duping and made nearly 70k in one sell... however it is very laggy. Also Kerfur holding a water droplet is so cool 10/10
didn't a guy (BigMood42069 I think) in the VotV itch io page for the 0.8 discussion thread discover this without the snow mode keybind like a week after the update came out? you just need to press 3 once and spam fill, throw, and collect to get the droplets, he noted the droplets look like batteries but can be held to use them as sponges
Im sure this isn't for everyone, but I feel like the reward of cleaning of your base and getting money for it is a really good part of the game and is a really good way to start out your playthrough,
If im correct (probably not) if the new update comes out you'll be able to save the game thru changing the new verison possibly making the points permeant (sorry if this sounds confusing my english isn't really that good)
Right click binds the barrel (while holding the remote), left click will open it (anywhere). if left click doesn't do anything then the barrel isn't bound to the remote

Try to redownload the game from the itch.io game page. It’ll still be 0.8.0 but it has some small differences that’ll allow you to do the exploits.
