Not enough people talk about how you're paid in _Baocoin._ Like your boss knows he can't get away with paying employees in 'company currency', so he just pays them in a 'new crypto currency' that just _happens_ to have only really been adopted by... the company store. Between this, the asbestos insulation, and the lead plumbing, this game still somehow manages to be a horrorshow even in Ambient Mode.
You're supposed to get a 6 figure salary once you've finished your job, and the baocoins are simply to help encourage you to do good work. As far as company credit goes...it's not that bad a system.
Ignoring the fact that Stolas expects you to die during your tenure, so they don't have to pay you.
honestly for me the most unbelievable part is the fact that all this is supposedly happening in switzerland, im mean hell they have the same population density as germany and here you can´t go more then a few kilometer without finding at least a village, how can all this shit going on without anyone noticing at least something.
@@koimeiji This is called "company scrip". Its been banned in US and UK since the 20th century. I couldnt find info about where else it was practiced but ASO is probably the first one to have done it in Switzerland
Its really problematic because then the employer can put whatever price they want on something and in remote places where you cant find basic commodities anywhere else (like a research base in the mountains), the employer can get super evil

One thing worth noting with the miner: The rate of point accumulation is fixed to real-time and does not scale with the day speed setting in the experimental menu. In other words, you get the maximum in-game PPD with day speed set to 50%.

Bizarrely however, you can neither pick up or even sell them with the sell gun; they're quite finicky and it's why I scrap right away the four ones available in the station for some scrap

I bought this game 27 days ago, have put in 100 hours since, and still keep playing it. For a “Pre-Alpha” there are more features and mechanics than some AAA full release games (looking at you Pokemon, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Elden Ring, GTA), and while not all of it is fleshed out, what is fleshed out is usually the coolest thing I’ve seen in a game, over and over.

Here are the maximum amounts of GPUs you can put into a frame with how many coolers you have (its not linear):
0 coolers: 08 GPUs
1 coolers: 09 GPUs
2 coolers: 11 GPUs
3 coolers: 13 GPUs
4 coolers: 15 GPUs
5 coolers: 16 GPUs
6 coolers: 16 GPUs
Coolers also improve speed, but the increase is weird.
I got this knowledge from a reddit comment so idk the rates but you really can put 8 of em in without overheating
EDIT: some of the middle numbers can still accumulate heat but its really slow so you can just save up for a cooler before any GPUs explode
hard to tell the rates since its rng, and i think my setup was still very very slowly overheating even on 11gpus at 2fans, maybe its rng as well?
@@invis8474 i just checked and yeah, 11 and 13 might be slightly heating the frame but you can make another cooler way before anything gets critical
Some further mushroom farming tips:
The ones to look out for are blue ones for stamina, puffballs for food, "funny" shrooms for selling (those are white, a whole cluster of caps in one item).
You can also plant them in holes you dug with a shovel, though roaches can eat them if you let the ripe crops sit for too long.
Puffballs can only be turned into bait when they're not explosive. Explosive ones have a yellowish tint to them. -Farmed ones will never be explosive, sadly.- it seems they do mature now, but only puff a cloud of black smoke rather than exploding. I am devastated.

8:05 do know when you run out of metal scrap on the map (like i did), you will need a woodchipper, shovel, and metal sheets from the store. Wood chipping the metal sheets can give 1-2 metal scrap trash piles, and shoveling that will give you metal chunks. Typically 4 metal chunks = 1 scrap, so thats 40 per one metal scrap. I will lower the cost a bit since the 2 random metal scrap piles, but you need 16 for the 16 slots in a frame, so thats around 600. You then need around 240 for all the coolers, so in all youre spending roughly 840 on scrap alone eventually. It does pay off, but slowly.
Mhhm good consideration and hypothesis, considering you went the length to deal with it (even if the map seems neigh impossibly big to ever ran out on a resource.. I wonder what else you use the scrap for
)
However, you're forgetting on one and far easier way that I don't see people use, and it's not even cheating and it's called 'Parallel Saves'.
Essentially, the Mailbox is universal, and constant between versions, updates and even saves. So long as you save the game, and don't immediately delete the save game afterwards, you can soley generate a new save, collect all the scrap, (and pretty much any and all items on your hand) and store them in the mailbox with its capacity at 10k.
I used it extensively to obtain a boost in Points for upgrades (before using sandbox I unlocked prior, to get it all.. Why is there an extra cost PER upgrade. Only so far iffy thing of the new update I don't like) as well as to focus on items to buy on the 'dump save' and use on the main one. Extra efficiency if you bring to the dump save a sell gun to sell everything whitout the need of an item box!

I know that the rate at which it gives metal scrap is roughly 4 sheets for 6 piles (at least as of 0.7) so it's approximately 7 points per pile, which is less than half of what it would be to buy sodas and do it that way, although the convenience of the soda can method it well worth the price, especially considering the cost to entry for the sheet method is gas and a woodchipper
@AMan-xz7tx I have infinite fuel basically because all the coal in the base. I personally just prefer using metal sheets cause it's a lot more labor intensive which I prefer cause I don't want to get bored of the game.

Careful when crafting Molotovs, they are incredibly fragile.
Crafting multiple makes them stack on top of each other, and the stack may topple over, exploding if the tower is too high.
Same with storing them, trying to store one in a full container drops it where you stand, usually exploding.
you can actually bury the shroom fish bait in the dirt with a shovel. i have a little shroom farm by the tree
A completed mining rig takes 40 scrap metal and 24 scrap electronics. Save that trash and get drinking those sodas!

The most efficient way to get metal scrap and electronic scrap for the frame is with cans from the vending machine and drives.
Each can costs 15 points and you only need 4 which is 60 points in total for each metal scrap (Compared to the 90 points for buckets and the 100 points for gas cans) and each drive costs 2 points and you only need 4 which is 8 points in total for each electronic scrap. This means in total you will have to spend an extra 2448 points after you've used up all the free scrap you can get.

This is the same thing as those 1 in 92 shampo bottles
You don't need to buy the farm pots for mushrooms, buy the roach repellant instead, put it on the beach, put the fish bait in the ground NEAR THE ROACH REPELLANT, wait, then repeat until you have enough mushrooms to sell.
You can also plant mushrooms in the dirt with a shovel. You can also make fish bait with something other than mushrooms. I dumped my inventory on the bench and got the option to craft (had no mushrooms). I'm not sure what it was but I think it was an apple core from base cleaning, I gotta check later

Funnily, I discovered two things when it comes to fungal farming.
The first one is that if you reset your player stats, every mushroom planted outside (ground) will dissappear.
Secondly you no longer can destroy dirt piles with a crowbar; but what you can do is pile them in a garbage band and burn them for a 1 burn each (or in better terms, a super low fuel, but it's still a gain! You can also make a small barrier to even stop 'them', or make a dirt house if you want

Is the "Weapon" you create with sticks and rocks as effective as the crowbar? Also, I'd like a guide on how to deal with the entities you have to fight in this latest update, my current save is softlocked because I'm stuck waking in the middle of the night with no flashlight and just a crowbar dealing with the evil kerfur. I managed to make like 10 molotovs in advance but he just tanks them like it's nothing. If this dev is going to add things we are forced to fight, I'd like to have an effective way of doing so.

There are barely any recipes in the game, so most things are just by discovery for the most part.

Your game isn't bugged, the cave is just a large maze. Once you find it, it'll be much easier.

A part of me is worried that a maxxed GPU Frame can still burst into flames if I am very unlucky, or if I decide I get sick of the noise and move it somewhere else (Right now it's plugged in near the map in the control room, thinking of moving it to the server room or something)
As someone who certifiably has No Life, I have maxxed out the coin miner multiple times. I have _never_ had it explode when at max GPUs+Coolers. Basically if you roughly have one cooler for every 3 GPU's, you should be able to just ignore the thing as long as you like.

Honestly I just recommend using the mailbox method and grabbing the free rad capsule on a new save and putting it and the shovel needed to dig it in the mailbox. Rinse and repeat on a new save til you have all you need

did you soak the sponge with a bucket full of water?
You kinda have to scrub at different spots after a few seconds. Listen for when the 'cleaning' sound effect stops, then face a different spot on it until you hear the sound again. You can just alternate between the same two spots until it's done.
normal cleaning dirt by holding a bucket works with no problem, windows work with dragging the sponge, but no matter what i do even holding the wet sponges and using them dont seem to change the dirty toilet/sink prop texture at all
