    It’s important to note that the reason the sugar in regular milk is higher because lactose is sugar that is naturally found in dairy milk. Lactose free milk will always have lower sugar because lactose is sugar
    I hope that makes sense.

    I've lost like 70 lbs by cutting out added sugars and walking 3-4 days a week. Now I have a habit at looking at products with no sugar or no added sugar. I can still enjoy ketchup and peanut butter by just looking at the no sugar variants (they are sometimes pricey).

      HDelaCruz, I make my own peanut butter at home. I use my food processor. One 16 oz jar of dry roasted salted peanuts will yield 2 cups of peanut butter. Process peanuts until you reach your desired consistency. I like creamy. Then add your powdered Keto Sweetener to taste and blend. I add 4 tablespoons of allulose. Transfer to a container and store in the refrigerator. Delicious. Even my non-keto husband likes it. The Walmart brand jar of peanuts is about $2.50.

    Fairlife for the win. Not only doesn't it have less sugar but also twice as much protein than regular milk and has a shelf life like Almond milk.

    I 100% agree about those coffee mate creamers. I switched over to sugar free but then when I realized how much oil was in those creamers I stopped drinking them all together. I now use heavy cream and a flavored sugar free syrup like pumpkin spice or salted caramel.

    Surprised you passed over YO MAMA brand of sauce. Only 2g’s of sugar and 0 added sugar and taste very good. Give it a try.

    Since I started following you, I have been looking at sugars in products. I found a health food store that sells keto products, and they are just as good. Amazon also sells sugar free products. I still look at the labels with those products, but thank you for making me aware! 🙏

    The Ragu has 3g of ADDED sugar , not 10. it has a total of 10g but only 3 are ADDED sugars.

      Chick pea pasta is a good alternative. So is the whole wheat. Takes a little adjustment for some people but both are good options.

      Shirataki Noodles is also another pasta alternative that you can use that is low in calories and carbs with zero added sugar.

    Yes, great point, I have stopped eating bread or eating way less, leaving my dear friend cheese alone. I know and you are so on point regarding the coffee creamer, gone back to my green tea, ginger tea with honey and lemon juice or just with the lemon juice, either way, when you know better you do better or can make a conscious choice, thanks for being the best, stay blessed, keep shining and let's go! 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪

    Hey! Great video .. something to differentiate is the naturally occurring sugar vs ADDED sugar
    Raos sugar grams are from the tomato itself, not necessarily added
    While Ragu, Prago definitely have sugar added to them!
    Same with milk. It’s naturally occurring
    Thanks for pointing out hidden sugar in deli meat! When it’s already sliced in the case, you don’t even get a chance to read the label itself!! 😮

      I use this. It has no added sugar but still has some sugar. It did require some time for me to adjust. I assume you're referring to Heinz No Sugar Added Catsup. Idk 🤷‍♀️. If Heinz does make a zero sugar Catsup, I'll certainly look for it. Thank you for information.

      @@beverlyharward9631 Yes that's the one, there is no added sugar, the sugar that is in there comes from the tomatoes. It is sweetened with sucralose but it's a small amount and does not have all the added garbage that comes with the granulated stuff.

    Awesome video! I'm trying to instill in my child that everything we consume has sugar and we need to make better choices.
    As a parent, you want the best for you and your loved ones---its my way of teaching her thats its upto us to make better choices as to what we put in our bodies.
    And yes better for you foods are more $$$. But they are worth it.

    right on. had a shock to read on "all beef hotdogs" not 1 but 2 types of sugar added. why adding sugar...get you to buy again since the sugar makes it addictive...corn syrup. might put out a list of all the names for sugar to help educate.

    I noticed during the pandemic that our local HEB and Walmart was completely out of pasta sauce but everything to make it was at the end of the aisle in the form of canned tomato products. That's when I started making my own. The already made pasta sauces are out of control when it comes to price and ingredients.

    Whole milk dairy is naturally lower in sugars (lactose). Put half and half or cream in coffee and avoid the chemicals naturally.

    Great video Mayra. I love the Ragu traditional but it has so much sugar. That must be why I love it, lol. Have the Rao’s now but honestly prefer to make my own. I gave up coffee years ago but were I to drink it I’d use heavy cream. I’m a label reader. Yeah ketchup is another one. I’ve yet to find a decent alternative. I sometimes figure it into my carb allowance just to enjoy a decent burger. The hunt continues, lol. 😊

    You said the Ragu had 10g added sugar , but the label said 10g of sugar and 3g of added sugar or sucrose. The other 7 grams is fruit sugar from the tomatoes. This is less than that the other products you recommended 🤷🏿‍♂️

      Idk about the specific ingredients but even if you are not low carb, look for no sugar added + low carb sauces. With no sugar and low carb the sauces will also most likely end up being low calorie as well

    Some foods have natural sugars like lactose. Carbs are in many foods even if no sugar is added. That's why you should look at sugar added and carbs. Tomatoes have natural sugars so that's why no added sugar tomato sauce still has carbs. The amount of carbs per serving is more important to keep track of. Keep carbs very low to lose weight but to maintain you can have more. Carbs make me hungry. I have to stay below 20 to lose weight.

    A2 milk is not for lactose sensitive ppl. Most US cows produce A1 & A2 proteins in their milk. A2 milk does not contain the A1 protein. Some ppl are sensitive to the milk proteins, not lactose.

    Its important to point out, “added sugars” and “total sugars” are two different things. For example a piece of fruit has sugars but no “added sugar”, meaning no one has included more sugar than naturally occurring. Also artificial sweeteners are not usually considered “sugar” so they don’t include them in these numbers.

    I know that you're careful when it comes to hidden sugars but also look which type of sweetners are added. Not all sweeteners are good for you. When it comes to dairy, I still wouldn't drink it due to hormones added... dairy causes hormonal acne flareups...

    Make sure you're looking at the "added sugars" everything has sugar that is naturally occurring in its makeup, however a lot of these items will have added sugars as a flavor enhancement.

    Please have your viewers read mark Hyman ‘ s book 10 days to detox. He’s an actual medical doctor that has studied functional medicine and he explains that even sugar substitute makes the brain want to eat sugar. So it’s better to avoid sugar substitutes of all kinds and sugar. If you have to have something sweet, add half or 1 teaspoon of sugar. And remember 5 g of carbs, equal 1 teaspoon of sugar when you are looking at labels.

    Why are you saying "added sugar" while looking at the sauces when it clearly says total sugar ( for example in the RAO sauce its natural sugar from the tomatoes). When you are advising to read the labels by you reading the labels wrong.

    Victoria's kitchen makes a milk that is 1 carb. I made it nd it works good alth9ugh I did have to add a smidge of vanilla but it was good.

    This is my favorite you have done. I would love to hear more about healing the gut! Also, I would like to hear more about what you think about sugar alternatives. I don't like the chemical ones, but I have had some success with small amounts of coconut sugar. Also, you take on processed foods.

    Costcos has Almond milk with 1 gram of sugar per cup. Bobby/flavcity approved.
