- I'm a big fan of the Sony Xperia 1 IV -- its camera system provides many of the tools that I require from my work cameras, only now it's all in my pocket. So, with the Xperia 1 IV and the vlogging kit that includes the connected screen, I decided to use ONLY the Sony Xperia 1 IV as my camera on a trip to Boracay in the Philippines! See how the cameras performed as my vlogging setup for the entire time on the white sand beaches, and look forward to videos on the new Sony headphones done solely on the Sony Xperia 1 IV!

@@pixels_per_inch its obviously not the full potential of the camera..he was vlogging casually, on a vacation, with maximum time on auto mode.. obviously not the full potential we can get out of the camera..
@@sourangshusarkar5943 @Pixels Exactly. I believe that this is a good representation for what most people will use it for in most scenarios in their day to day life. Granted the have the extra cash for the vlog monitor. The other video had some beautiful footage as well. Phone cameras have come a very long way in such a short time...
If this is what Sony is able to do on full auto for video then this may be the phone for me. The footage came out very nice and knowing that for anything specific I could get the exact settings I want is a great marriage. I feel you on the photo side of things as you do tend to have to edit the photos in post like you would a real camera on Sony phones but this is very promising. Also the location is just gorgeous!

Sony has really outdone themselves with the mark IV. I really do believe that in a generation or two (maybe the Xperia 1 mark V or VI) Sony is going to have one hell of a camera system on their phones.
The shots are so so good. I mean, tell me this is straight from an actual vlogging camera and I'd believe you. I kinda get why Sony priced it a bit on the expensive side.
Wow I'm genuinely impressed with the video quality even in its final prototypes phase. The one that strikes me most is how the 4K 120fps maintains the details of the trees when you went island hopping. And the waves looks genuinely crisp and full of life. I definitely should consider this to be my next device but ofc I'm gonna need to get some price discounts.

Dude, there's soo much to love about this video and yours in general. Soo awesome to come on a little trip with you guys while getting the down-low too. Makes isolation much more sunny! I think the Video sharpness from the Sony could be improved as compared to other systems I've used. The Sony sensor on my Razer Phone 2 seems to focus a bit better unless I'm completely tripping here. The Xperia I think I noticed a few artifacts like the sensor was still computing and it wasn't sharp all through the frame. Makes it difficult as the scene would be constantly changing in a video. Not the case with stills ofc. Cannot wait for your next one with the phone to see more in studio settings! Thank you

Awesome vlog. The location looks amazing and I see you had lots of fun. It's surprising that nowadays such a small device can capture such great footage, really impressive 4k 120fps on All lenses. Holy sh*it this is good. I vlogged my Norway trip with my Google Pixel 6 Pro and I think it did a pretty good job. But seeing this footage makes me think this is even better. It's basically a Sony ZV-1 in a phone.

I am seeing more Xperia 5 iv than Xperia 1 IV..nicely done by the way..looks like Sony still suffering from heating issues during video shooting..i really hope they made some fixes for this..great video.. 👍👍
This nice doing vlog test on the beach rather than at home and outside, It's more fun vlogging while traveling and see the beautiful and majestic scenery.
Is any phone perfect? No. It's all based on one's needs and wants. The Xperia 1 MK IV is an amazing tool for photographers and content creators that caters to that demographic. Personally, I would go for the Pro-i for the main sensor and the dual aperture but this device is a step forward from previous generations.
I'm in-between this and pro-i wasn't sure if it was just marketing but really that good and difference to the iv

Nice video mate 👍. Only night shots were missing. Sony says it’s for photographers and hence taking all photos in auto mode may not be comparable with other phones.
Can you share the battery experience during these times? Is it reliable for one day use without a single charge?
I would have liked some more photos from basic/auto. I know a photographer can do some stunning things with the manual mode, but I haven't seen many examples from the basic mode.
I hope to see more of Isa, Alvin, Jayson, and Mary anytime soon.

The 4k quality looks fantastic on the 1 iv i have the the Xperia 5 iii and even though its a high end mid range phone its very good
which app did you use most? Photo Pro (on video mode)? Video Pro? Cinema Pro?

Hey, I noticed that the 120 fps footage looked a lot sharper and overall more “professional camera like”, while a lot of the clips in normal fps were looking kinda bad to me, the sharpness wasn’t good and the exposure was pretty weird somehow. Was it because the 120 fps shots were done in the video pro app, and some of the normal fps clips were done in the basic camera app? Do you notice a difference between the footage from these two apps?
I actually do notice a bit of a difference, from the BASIC mode in Photo Pro that allows video capture to the Video Pro app -- the first batch of clips before I put the vlogging kit on were shot in BASIC

Probably videos recorded on the "video pro" app have more bitrate than videos recorded on the "photo pro app",

Since LG has been out from smartphone market, I've only been looking at Sony as my potential replacement and the new Xperia 1 IV is definitely on my radar. That said, I always prefer smaller phones, so I'll wait for Xperia 5 IV.
