I was about to say that! I'd lived just south of the Seattle area for decades in Boulevard Park, just up the hill from South Park, and I've never heard of this happening!
At the north end of South Park along the Duwamish River is a residential area surrounded by an industrial area. That area has flooded occasionally since I was a kid growing up in South Park in the 70s.
People are expecting ANY SOLUTIONS from King County or WA State? Really? They should feel LUCKY they got some orange sand bags. They’ll get a bill for.
I lived in South Park for 50 years and never heard of it flooding.

Why would you live along a Washington river if you aren't elevated or on a hill? It's the same story every year
Why is everyone so damned surprised? Sediment buildup, Rain, King Tide and the rising level of the Oceans all spell flooding.
Bro WTF is going on in South Park and West Seattle?
The won’t even fix the dang roads.
Eric Cartman will need a boat!
No. Not that South Park. Timmy isn't going to get drowned in his parents basement.
Maybe just cancer from the toxic soils there?
@@vallee7966 true. The Duwamish slough is full of creosote from days gone by....
Wow, is the city that you voted for not helping. Go figure.
Sounds too progressive but glad they are helping.
