China floods their cheap products in Pakistan that Pakistani’s industry unable to compete with which killed their local manufacturing cascading effort on poor demand of raw goods and unemployment. Assuming pakistan acted as simply a trade route to.china, even then any return on imveatment is unlikely simply because the trade route passes through the highest mountain chain in the world and the highest plateau in the world to connect the plains of pakistan and china - that will be anything but economical even in terms of transportation and operating cost...
