To Emma Webb, Britain first colonize India as a whole, and looted many things out of which one is Kohinoor. Your reason for not returning it back is that whom to give it to India or Pakistan or Afghanistan, whom you yourselves partitioned before independence. One thing to be noted, there was no Pakistan or Afghanistan (no disrespect) at the time you took it or even at the time it was mined out of the Indian Soil (Probable Mined Location: Andhra Pradesh). It was possessed by many rulers over the period of time, and that doesn't defy the ownership of the diamond from its actual owner. It's like you have your Precious Billion Dollars Diamond Jewellery being stolen/gifted by your husband/bf to another girl, and then that girl sells it to someone else, who gift it to their precious one which got stolen by a "middle-eastern person" and sold in to "shady merchant", from whom someone brought it and presented it to my Friend. And when she goes and check the authenticity form of a legalised Jweller. She got to know about the actual ownership of the Jewellery being YOU! What should she do now, should she return it back? Or should she keep it for herself just because it was being presented as a gift!? It was notified to you back by the legalised Jweller, but now both you & your husband are divorced. So my friend is just holding the Jewellery to herself just to avoid a dispute between "YOU" (who it belongs to, 'coz its "registered on you name") AND "your ex-husband" (who technically brought it for you by his "hard earned efforts"!), Now does her act it justifiable? We Indians should learn to accept the fact that we lost Kohinoor because of our ignorance and divisions instead of giving verbal twists to historical events.
Hmmm...so the arguments against it are a) history is complex; we don't know the rightful owner. b) Indians can't take care of their diamond. c) What if Pakistan and Afghanistan say that Kohinoor is theirs. d) If we start returning stolen stuff, British museums would be empty. Narinder Kaur can rightfully feel royally frustrated arguing against such inane pretensions. Looters, just give it back!
Even if India stole Koohinor diamond from somewhere else let India decide whom to give it back to..if you stole it from India, give it back to them. This argument that history is complex is such a b....t! A stolen Item is a stolen Item and needs to be given back. Honestly I find it disgusting.

The earliest known reference to diamond is a Sanskrit manuscript, dated from 320-296 B.C., but diamonds have been known in India for at least 3,000 years but most likely 6,000 years. In fact, until the 1730s India was the world’s only known source of diamonds. The word used for diamonds in Sanskrit is “Vajara,” meaning “thunderbolt” which was the weapon of Lord Indra (god of rain and thunderstorms), which reveals much about the spiritual properties attributed in ancient India to diamond

It is highly deplorable and shamefully wrong that the charming British broadcaster has neglected to give merit to Indian origin Narinder Kaur forensic evidence that the Koh-i-Noor diamond was blatently stolen from soil of India. How can the British monarchy (I'm not denying it does good work) live with this blight on rich heritage. To Emma Webb,
Britain first colonize India as a whole, and looted many things out of which one is Kohinoor.
Do you allow that?
It seems Emma W met an imaginary Indian saying they don't want Kohinoor back. Well we do, it's Ours no matter how much you claim it's yours
And even if that imaginary Indian said that they don't want the Kohinoor back, they asked to be paid the jewel's full worth in cash instead

It's funny how a lot of Britishers see India and Pakistan as a separate land while talking about colonization when it was after the colonization that the partion took place which by the way was their doings as well.
