Our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.
People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyper-inflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyper-inflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.

China and India are too different from each other for that to work, and trust plays a big part in world currencies.
The US Dollar became the world currency because the US was trusted and dependence, but things are changing, US politics is becoming too polarised and the US is using more threats to get what it wants, it's making a lot of countries around the world rethink its policies on the US, in other words, to distance themselves from the US, which would be really damaging to the US Dollar if that were to happen, especially with how the reserve currency is set up to favour the US and probably why Trump is using threats, but threats could do more damage to the US in pushing countries away.
The only other credible currency is the Euro, but honestly, those countries are not integrated enough for that to work, so maybe a new currency that isn't tied to any country is needed, if that is feasible, it would probably get support from the majority of the world, except from the US.

If the United States stopped trading with China and India, they would go straight down the tubes. BY doing so India can give more jobs to its people without relying on one source only that is the USA. So when the USA sanctions India, India can rely on its other eggs baskets.

De-dollarisation is good. It makes the world economy a lot more stable as countries economies wont fluxuate nearly as strongly with the $ or Wallstreet's antics anymore.

If India was at U.S' position, the world might have a faster development process, as India believes world is one family and everyone's support is everyone's progress.
