I have had my Legend for awhile now. I love the ease of turn on and go along with the many settings I can adjust. Good video for everyone to see what you can do with it. I sometimes will just do a pulltab day, or a shallow fast recovery day, makes it interesting for sure. Keep up the great content. - Jeff
Thank you so much, that was an excellent explanation of something I had had a real problem with, I believe I can tackle it now. I'm 80 years old and not much of a tech y. You really helped me!
I really like that you take time to respond to each comment. Thank you! Because of that and the very clear videos on the Legend I subbed and glad to find help setting up my new Legend.
I hope you enjoy and learn something from these videos although I am unlikely to be able to share a roman coin find! I would love to be able to hunt over there!
Thank brother, I'm trying to keep everything in frame better, and yes, I was so excited to find that ring. Funny thing is I think it was an accident as it was in a hole with a higher tone item and just popped out!
Great information, especially for a "new to detecting" guy like me. I have the Legend, it's my first detector, but I am still a bit confused. Do you also dig on a tone but no "treasure" bar or only when it moves towards the "Ring" on the display? Any help on this would be wonderful.
this is a hard one as some say dig everything, esp as you are learning, and some say don't waste time on potential junk. I'm in the dig everything camp as you will find really weird and interesting things that way, and you will dig a fair bit of junk, but you will learn an area and the reaction of your machine to a lot of that junk
Good video but not recommended in the UK we have silver hammered coins coming in at 15+ as there small and thin and sometimes cut in half or quarters 😊
@@JoyofTreasureHunting i know but there are tones of rules here with it and what will be classed and what isnt classed as treasure etc and the land you go on is the problem, as we arnt aloud in parks and when we go in fields we rarely find moden coins you guys can literally pay off your machines in the parks 😅 i would love to find these old hammered coins but ive yet to find any myself and digging up pre decimal coins are worth nothing unless there silver or gold but still there hard to find 😅
@@DuckDetects there are always challenges in different areas, and yes, we can find a ton of modern coins and pay off some equipment that way. I am not near a beach here in Oklahoma, but those who are often find enough modern jewelry to pay off their machines too.
@@JoyofTreasureHunting thats true and thats another downside here as in uk there are only a handfull of decent beaches and there down on the south coast which are the ones that get busy im kinda smack in the middle of England but we have beautiful countryside i suppose😅 i dont think you cant get much better hobby for peace and quiet and fresh air, fishing maybe
Congrats on the silver ring! Was it already broken in the hole? I found a broken ring and it rang up lower than expected. When I squeezed it back together to complete the continuity it rang up normally.
I might set my detector up to just pull pulltabs, do rdogg's pulltab challenge What kinda sheath do you have, i have the grave digger sheath, i like it but my excalibur digger is a little hard to pull out sometimes
What's the pulltab challenge? I'm not familiar with that. I have a cheap Amazon digger and it came with a nylon sheath...the serrated edge is already fraying it.

Thanks Jeff
I gained so much knowledge from this video, thank you.
You're so welcome Kevin, and thanks for the feedback!

Its the least I can do for all you great people who take the time to watch what I make!
Appreciate your video's, love your idea on painting the buttons, im new the the Legend and love it! Thank you for the informative video's 🎉
You're welcome, and thanks for watching, more to come! Find anything you're proud of yet?
@@JoyofTreasureHunting Yes, gold rings, 1969 14kt high school ring, I tracked down the owner and returned it, detecting for 15 years now.
Will give this a try tomorrow 😊
Happy hunting my friend! Hope you find a ton of silvers.
Congrats on your first Silver Ring Score ..you are getting this Legend set up very nicely. Happy Hunting. Peace
Thanks! It's been a fun machine to learn, and I think things will get even better.
Good selection of finds coming up. Best wishes from wet, windy, darkest, Lancashire, England. Happy hunting.

Hey that's a nice ring!! You're rocking that chest harness! Great aim.

I have been using Legend at several beaches. In my opinion, the best setting is gold field mode, 40hz, dig everything. 👌
Good to know! I'll try that, and I can't wait to get some beach hunting opportunities!
Great video! I just got my legend not too long ago so I’m learning as well. Happy Hunting!
Thanks, and I'm working on a few videos showing the different things you can find within ranges of the vdis, and accupoint pinpointer tips as well
This looks just like my hunts.... minus the ring... lol!
Here's to better ones for us all! I'm going to try some lake water hunts next with this heat

@@JoyofTreasureHunting Thank you for the information, it's wonderful that you and others share your knowledge and experiences.
I found gold rings between 16 and 20 depending on the size of the rings.
Keep tuned for an episode dedicated to those lower numbere, but you are right. Gold rings can show up anywhere from 11-60
Excellent video!
Thanks! Any ideas for other videos that could be helpful?
