The periodic table, also known as the periodic table of the elements, is an ordered arrangement of the chemical elements into rows ("periods") and columns ("groups"). It is an icon of chemistry and is widely used in physics and other sciences. It is a depiction of the periodic law, which states that when the elements are arranged in order of their atomic numbers an approximate recurrence of their properties is evident. The table is divided into four roughly rectangular areas called blocks. Elements in the same group tend to show similar chemical characteristics. Periodic table of the chemical elements showing the most or more commonly named sets of elements (in periodic tables), and a traditional dividing line between metals and nonmetals. The f-block actually fits between groups 2 and 3; it is usually shown at the foot of the table to save horizontal space. Vertical, horizontal and diagonal trends characterize the periodic table. Metallic character increases going down a group and decreases from left to right across a period. Nonmetallic character increases going from the bottom left of the periodic table to the top right. The first periodic table to become generally accepted was that of the Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev in 1869; he formulated the periodic law as a dependence of chemical properties on atomic mass. As not all elements were then known, there were gaps in his periodic table, and Mendeleev successfully used the periodic law to predict some properties of some of the missing elements. The periodic law was recognized as a fundamental discovery in the late 19th century. It was explained early in the 20th century, with the discovery of atomic numbers and associated pioneering work in quantum mechanics, both ideas serving to illuminate the internal structure of the atom. A recognisably modern form of the table was reached in 1945 with Glenn T. Seaborg's discovery that the actinides were in fact f-block rather than d-block elements. The periodic table and law are now a central and indispensable part of modern chemistry. The periodic table continues to evolve with the progress of science. In nature, only elements up to atomic number 94 exist;[a] to go further, it was necessary to synthesise new elements in the laboratory. By 2010, the first 118 elements were known, thereby completing the first seven rows of the table;[1] however, chemical characterization is still needed for the heaviest elements to confirm that their properties match their positions. New discoveries will extend the table beyond these seven rows, though it is not yet known how many more elements are possible; moreover, theoretical calculations suggest that this unknown region will not follow the patterns of the known part of the table. Some scientific discussion also continues regarding whether some elements are correctly positioned in today's table. Many alternative representations of the periodic law exist, and there is some discussion as to whether there is an optimal form of the periodic table.
I moved from Michigan to Texas last year, and I love it down here, fuck -14°F weather I'd rather deal with 100°F+ as I'm like 136lbs at 5'10" so I have like no insulation so the heat is welcome for me
Schlatt is gonna move back to New York and have to be like little Jonny with his galvanized square steel and eco friendly wood veneer. Oh, and don’t forget the screws borrowed from his aunt too
Austin definitely seems like the up and coming city in Texas for tech and youngsters in general. But I have heard the more conservative politicians/ governor of Texas tends to impose conditions that make it annoying to live with if you lean left, or just to punish the Austin area because the left leaning politicians just happen to control it or parts of it. Not trying to say LIBS BASED CONSERVATIVES CRINGE or CONSERVATIVES BASED LIBS CRINGE but rather just note the political games being played can be problematic for the average lay person whether they are the most ardent liberal living in a conservative governed state or the most apathetic apolitical person. They are at the whims of the political games played by both parties. Then again, it seems like schlatt’s issues were more to do with not liking the environment, maybe being homesick?, and the weather? Not sure how the snow factors in since NY gets lots of snow too haha. But between LA and NY I would definitely do NY and I’m from Long Island - so you know I ain’t a city boy haha. And it feels like NYC is the opposite problem of TX/Austin, you get the political games of a liberal dominated state/city opposed to conservative. At least NYC will have better public transit, though I’ve heard good things about Austin too. Maybe Schlatt can get that galvanized square steel frame to extend whatever apartment he moving into.

Here in Houston there’s like 5-6 warnings a day I swear
Yeah, we got those those tornado warnings so much they were getting annoying
And the response to tornado warnings is always "I'll pray it doesn't hit us. Anyways..."
Very bipolar weather ngl
“Ill be becoming a twink again” is the funniest fucking line
imma be in new york around october, hope to bump into you at some point
TWINK REINCARNATION LETS GOOOOOOO
it's kind of sweet seeing Schlatt actually hanging up fanart on his wall
It’s almost like he’s still here. Fly high Schlatt 🕊
🙏🙏🙏😔😔😔 i still miss him
He's with all the other youtubers who left us😢
Schlatt should move to Norway and hunt down a king krab
As a Texan i aprove this message (this is so true it hurts)
My first thought was “ Damnit, we borrowed too many street signs.”
It’s never enough
couldn’t of been that, why would someone get mad over free things
idk why he's mad theyre free lol
@@AmethystUltrakilltrue
those street signs are government property.
petition to move schlatt to boston next
agreed i need "Schlatt" to be within a 100 mile radius of me so i can track him down manhunt style
Schlatt has the perfect voice for a good “wicked”
Send him to Detroit lmao
@@EddieBurke schlatt has a New York accent. We know the difference here, and he will be attacked for being a filthy yanks fan
No. To Japan!
As a Texan who does not live in Texas anymore, Texas a literal hell. You experience every climate possible and you experience heatwaves and you experience no air conditioning
I'm from Texas and all the points he makes are true. Texan homes are built to keep heat out, not to keep heat in. They are horrible for insulating heat and so during the blackout and during other cold times there was basically zero way to combat it with no power.
Hearing how Texas handles their weather emergencies and how future weather will be especially with heat, it is just disaster after disaster waiting to happen.
Yeah it sucks here ngl
i live here and yeah this fucking state is horrible
I love Texas and its random changing weather and i refuse to ever leave
Its really just the cities that have it bad. I never lost water or power in my small central texas town.
Dude it’s so bad when I go other places it doesn’t feel right
At least the midwest is safe! From schlatt. I rather get snowed in, deal with tornadoes, flooding, and blizzards than have the man who witnessed [REDACTED] during 1999 in the same area as me. Stay safe fellas
Me reading what happened in 1999😀🙂😐😕😟😦( yes Im cringe )
just don’t go to a major city in the midwest, those are very not safe. Looking at you chicago and milwaukee.
In Nebraska the weather can change in like 5 minutes and were just used to it now.
1:51 Poor Jambo is so overwhelmed, he is literally in between a hail storm and a man shouting😂
NOT THE TWIN TOWERS
They oughtta rebuild them

ngl I feel the hate for Texas. I don't think I'll ever move back there
Everyone looked at TX income tax as some brand new golden egg... Then they learned the grass isn't always greener... Nowhere is perfect, you find what headaches you can happily deal with and settle in. Have a good move!
