@Talon Sei Great review Talon! I have been checking every morning for you to review this.. and it felt like Christmas today when I saw it! Hah So, I’ve put over 1000 miles on my Acton Blink s2 (terribly stiff board, a bit slow 18mph, and range is so so - about 7 miles). I’m ready to at another to my quiver. It’s going to be: this x2, the g3 or g3+. I live in SW Florida with flat, paved roads, side walks, parks, beach, boardwalks, and some flat off-road trails. I 100% agree with you, and was worried about this - that the speed/power is a little bit underwhelming. It sounds like the x2 will be marginally faster, but longer range, than my s2. BUT with the ability to go (mostly) anywhere. The speed and carve ability / feel while carving on pavement are my 2 concerns with the x2, but I want to want it! What would you recommend for me? Try something new - the x2 - and then buy another tarmac speed-forward board down the line...? Or go for one of the other boards? Thanks for the advice, and thanks for reading this long post if you get to it!
If this was AWD it'd be pretty close to perfect, though I think direct drive systems are the best system as it has all the benefits of a hub motor but still allow one to switch out wheels.
I haven't been on a board in close to 20 years... Or more. This makes me kinda want one. At close to 300 pounds, what would be a good board to look at for a fat beginner, and what should I be looking to pay for something like that? How much does rider weight affect total mileage? How would one carry such a thing on a plane?
I really like x2 , but I also wanted to compare this board to belt driving one like evolve . mostly I want to ride on a gravel road and I worry about gravel to be all over the belts. that would be nice to compare and see, since I don’t think there is video which shows if there would be any issue in this conditions
They seem to have really great value, this one is 1300 and can go 16-21 miles, their high performance one is 900 and can go 20 miles and 28mph, that puts boosted to shame.
I bet the bearing just wasn’t fully set in the wheel so it was a little crooked and after going around some turns u probably put enough pressure to push it all the way in making it lined up properly
Thanks for this review! I'm considering the Ranger X2 after having bad luck with other street boards and crappy NYC roads. i.e. broken wrist, torn rotator cuff, etc. Basically, 4 bad falls last year. Do you know how many % the hill climb was? It's always hard to see how steep hills are in videos :)
I don’t know an exact but I would say it starts at a 20% then gets up to about 25 for the long section.

Hey guys needing some much needed advice. I live in south Alabama and looking to buy my first board. I'm 6'2 200lbs and don't have much experience with skateboarding. I'm curious what you guys would recommend to be my first board. I'm looking at the x2 because I think it'll do great on the terrain down here where I live and looks like it would be stable. Any advice is much appreciated!
