I know I said it already but I appreciate the e-board reviews you do. You give all the relevant information to help people make an informed decision. Also, that spreadsheet is legit! Thanks again man!
Great review talon. I have the backfire G2s, and about the flex of the board it improves a lot after you have ridden it for some time, the board gets more flexy the more it's used. To any G2s owners i would just get the battery and hub motor upgraded on the G2s instead of getting a whole new board. Happy riding to everyone! :)
Nice to see another E-board review. I bought an ownboard cs1 last summer based on motivation I received from your channel, thanks. A bunch of "very good" boards in the $599 range these days, makes me want to have a quiver, like skis or in your case snowboards...
Man I’m so glad I found your channel. Boosted was offering $100 off with a new deal so I was about to spend the money but this thing looks so much better and is less than half the price. I know the acceleration won’t be as good as boosted but I’m a beginner so I think this will be good for me. Anyways, I just ordered one! So hyped to try it!!
Chris Dat -Membaaa?- I love it! What I will say is definitely don’t try to go as fast as possible on it before tightening the trucks on the board. On my first day I got up to like 15mph and flew off of the board because of the loose trucks. Besides that it’s been so much fun! $500 seems like a pretty good deal.
Chris Dat -Membaaa?- yea you definitely should! I skateboard pretty frequently but using this was my first time on a longboard. It rides so smooth on the street! So much different than the rough ride with a skateboard
Backfire boards are great quality at a lower cost than a Boosted price. I love the G2S so the G2T looks as if not better. I believe if you swap the spare 9xmm wheels the weight increases by at least a couple of lbs.
i just started to ride my first e-board and thanks to you i could have all lot of informations about different brand of electric longboards, at the end i got the backfire g2
I've had mine for 2 months now, 700 kilometers. It's fast and quiet and has good range. The most i've ridden is 21km with 15% left on battery, and didn't even go full eco.
I put new softer 85mm wheels on the front and it was the most effective best upgrade period. Anyone thinking about this board should get it, and invest in a set of replacement front wheels at least. I'm working on making replacement sleeves with softer PU as well, stayed tuned yo.
Great vid man, I’m sold! Only thing I have to debate now is the grip tape color, although not sure I want to draw too much attention to myself with the galaxy colorway
You and the boys should take a bunch of the boards to a school track this summer and do a distance/# of laps race. Leave the board just off track where it dies. And take a drone shot to show final results. Could also have "beverages" to drink while riding. Maybe the rules say you have to finish 1 "beverage" per mile before your board dies...
Love your e-board reviews man. I just got my Backfire Ranger x1 in, I'm loving it so far. It seems to be a similar platform as the g2t with larger rubber wheels. I looked at the g2t, but honestly the roads in my town are so terrible I didn't think I could use a regular board.
Having a ghost town is awesome, where I live is just too crowded. And unlike the rest of the U.S. riding skateboards in the streets is illegal here however, it is allowed on pretty much every public sidewalk (except Waikiki). But sidewalks here suck for 2 big reasons, 1. People walk in groups taking up the whole sidewalk or they got their earphones in so they can’t here you approaching so you need to constantly hop off the board and run around them 2. There’s a lot of trees that totally mess up the sidewalk and all sorts of cracks and uneven sidewalks. Around the neighborhood I just ride on the roads as do must people, just not on the main roads
I have a boosted v2... just ordered this board for situations where I need more range. My boosted has an issue with the Bluetooth and the XR battery won’t work because I can’t update the firmware... time to resell it I guess.
I’ve been trying to decide what board I want to get for my first eboard, and this one was recommended to me due to my weight (200lbs) and this is definitely looking like it might be the board for me
awesome chart... i have been testing the yeeplay (i got it for 250). i like that if it disconects from the remote it just rolls and does not brake. anyway to add that to the chart or go over which boards do that? the evolve seems to be known for brakes turning on and throwing people off at high speeds. the new Evolve looks nice and hopefully fixes that. the bajaboard looks insane to me, giant 1/5 scale rc car tech in that one.
Great work Talon! I enjoy your reviews. Just a suggestion, I would be curious what your personal comfort level while riding is on a scale for 1 ro 10. Maybe add that to your spreadsheet. Thanks again
Hi there! Can you plz do a Meepo V3 review? I want to get a decent budget e-board and I've been keeping my eye on the Meepo, but I'm not too sure about it. Thanks!
Did you have any problems with the board ? Asking because I just sent mine to the tech support team cause one of the motors completely fried and the esc went out also
Number is irrelevant. Each individual line is just their with all the information regarding the board to help people make an informed decision on what they want, price, distance, speed, etc.
I’m looking to buy a back fire board I’m new to e boards never skateboarded in my life but I weigh about 250 lbs I’m deciding between the G2T and the G3 my only concern is the deck since I’m on the heavier side would the flexy deck of the G3 be a bad idea? The G3 plus would be ideal but that’s a bit out of my price range
Would you recommend the G2T or the new G2 (G2S ESC and G2T hub motors) for new riders? Do the benefits of the new remote, ESC and battery for the G2T make it that much better than the G2?
Been absorbing all your reviews probably cruised through all your stuff and things starting around 209 and have to back track further still! Definitely like the consistency of explaining manufacturer claims and real world, not a lot of people spend the time to do that that i've seen. I had a few mid-range e-board in downtown chicago, I've bought 3 e-boards around 400-600 a piece over the past two years (so about 5months worth of ride time in chicago! haha) and they've been manf defect, friend and even was mugged for one. Any recommendations at super cheap? Only really need a max mph of 10, just a door to door board and very hesitant on getting another lemon haha.
@@TalonSei definitely have. And check out a G4free sling for edc small compact and keeps mobility to edc and ride. Ever check a blitzart hurricane? Haven't seen one on your playlist
@@unagi9092 I actually asked them about this on their website and they said, you can push with your feet when you run out of battery, but they said to not do it often, anyone knows why?
What do you think is the best board for a 179lb rider. Mainly looking for speed, comfort, and distance? (in that order of importance) I was debating between the Meepo, Team gee H5, the backfire g2t, and the kool wheel.
Thanks for the review. which board will you recommend for travelling? Lots of board act a burden when it comes to boarding. Also is G2T water resistant?
Hey Talon, Great review bud. Have a question looking to get a board for my son. hes 14 out of the Wowgo2 and the Koowheel which one would you think would be the best? Thanks
Nice board! I know your a skateboard person but have you ever tested any electric scooters? Researching some to help with my commute. Keep up the good work as aleays
E-skateboards are good for kids. Especially these kind of budget ones. Because kids cant drive cars so what better way to get around than an electric skateboard. I’m 13 and have a meepo v1.5. I use it all the time to go places where i meet my friends and especially running errands for my parents while they’re busy.
The other day I saw an ad on you tube for an off road skateboard, it made me think of you. However I can’t remember it’s name, sorry. I should have written it down.
I love this board, and I can say that the turbo definitely increases top speed. I've reached 45 km/h (27,9 miles for you imperials :P) on flat ground with the 96mm wheels.
I know I said it already but I appreciate the e-board reviews you do. You give all the relevant information to help people make an informed decision. Also, that spreadsheet is legit! Thanks again man!

If you’re on a flat road and put it into turbo mode you can get the board up to 27mph
That's rider weight dependant. I tested it on a flat road and the top speed was indicated via GPS
i weigh 192 with the bigger wheels i can hit turbo and get close to 29-30 mph on flat road using his same gps app.
have you seen the halo board 2... its like $800-$900 right now..
