You without a doubt deliver the most concise and compelling E-Board reviews and videos on all of youtube. The perfect amount of commentary and footage. Keep it up man!!!
Hey Daniel! I’ve been following you and your videos since you had about 300 subscribers around the time of the LOU board, which unsurprisingly was really not that long ago! I just wanted to say that right from the start I was impressed with your quality, professionalism, and perseverance throughout the testing of the technology you reviewed and was quite surprised when I saw how low your sub count was. I’m glad to see you gaining a following and am sure you have a bright future ahead. Cheers!
X2 is a great board, I commute on mine 5 days a week 11kms each way. I'm finding it really difficult to get new tyres in Australia though, I have even been sent the wrong tyres twice my the manufacturer. I just wish I could find some alternate tyres that fit the board now. I have done 965kms on the board now and the rear tyres have no tread left on them.
Although I'm kinda bummed as a X1 owner, I hope the X2 does well because the Ranger is a great bargain for an AT board and definitely deserves more attention.
Too expensive for me. But I love how easily you have it turn! I just ordered the Electric Skateboard SYL-08 ALL-TERRAIN LONGBOARD for half the price. I love in the country side where they purposely make the streets gravel bumby for avoid skateboarders. Hope it's also easy to turn.
The x1 never gave me 1 problem yet. It's the must reliable eboard I ever had. Still running after a year with no maintenance at all and I use them off road all the time
Since you have the board could you check if these amazing wheels would fit on to other hub motors? Ideally the Exway Flex :-)... That would be super cool i rekon.
I really enjoy watching your videos. You are scientific but not overly it’s not just a video of riding and smiling I am wondering if this should be my next board. I do want a belt driven board because I want to see what that feels like. Which would you buy this or the Ownboard Carbon Off Road Board? If you can’t say which one you would chose, what are the pros or cons of both.
MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent This one because the brakes are much better. At the end of my next video (tomorrow) I’ll talk a bit about their differences but mainly because of the brakes.
Which one do you think would be better? The ranger x2 or the new bamboo ownboard AT? Almost same price. I don't ride my board offroad, just in the city and need it for the terrible bumpy roads here. Also want to have the confidence not to slip in the rain.
Yo DKwan! Great review! Can i ask you a question and be honest, can this board take a beating?? I'm at college rn and have managed to destroy both of my boards (G2t and my diy chain board) due to all the cracks and really rough roads everywhere. While the ranger x2 appears heavy, I figure I can just roll it like a suitcase if I ever need to carry it so Im not too worried about weight, just if the board can handle rough riding.
I did take the Ranger X1 through some rough conditions and it held up well, so I imagine the X2 would be able to do the same. But it is still a skateboard so check for loose bolts and whatnot often especially if you’ll be going through rough terrain.
The Exway X1 does use a 12S Lithium-nickel magnesium cobalt (NMC Li-Ion), for a nominal voltage of 43.2V.... But although the boosted uses 12S, it is 12S of the Nanophosphate Lithium-iron phosphate (LiFePO4 from A123) with lower nominal voltage of 36V, wich is sorta equivalent to the nominal 10S 36V with the NMC cells in the other standard budget boards...
@@DanielKwan Li iron nanophosphate A123 cells that boosted uses have one major advantage over NMC: they have crazy longevity (> 1000 charge cycles) and have a very flat discharge xurve when compared to other li-ion cells chemistry... But they also have drawbacks: LiFePO4 cells have a lower nominal voltage of 3.0V per cell (vs 3.6V nominal for NMC), meaning you need to put mores cells is series to get that same 36V. The other major drawback of LiFePO4 cells is that they have lower capacity (when compared with NMC cells of the same volume or the same weight). So LiFePO4 cell have lower volumetric energy density (in Wh per liter of cell) and lower gravimetric energy density (in Wh per kg of cells), but they have way higher cycle life (at least the A123 brand Nanophosphate LiFePO4 kind) and tend to have higher power density (in Watts per kg or Watts per liter) aka higer discharge rate... Bottom line, boosted cells use cells that give you good power, very low sag and very reliable life, but range sucks for an already bulky and heavy battery they carry. I recommend checking out "Lithium chemistries" on the "Battery university.com" website. Your knowledge of eSkates is getting better and better so that could help you even more in your amazing hands on reviews Daniel Kwan
What’s the acceleration and top speed realistically for a rider who weighs 250? I’m worried the flex will make my battery scrape and break long term. Are the belt motors of the Ownboard Carbon AT better for a heavier rider?
@@DanielKwan I just ordered the X1 and awaiting shipment. This will be my first Eboard. Do you think it's worth the extra cost and the hassle of the exchange ovet the X1? From my understanding the updated X1 has the improved wheels as well.
@@DanielKwan ahh true yeah was trying to find a comparison between the 2. The Carbon GTR AT is belt driven so was good to see your take on hub motor benefits. The road where I live are terrible for street setup. Thanks for replying btw.
This is a great first impression review! But I fell that what you wanted to say had a little twist from backfire, especially with your first argument! But then it is somewhat true and the board does look incredibly great! Have you ever tried a trampa board, and compare this to that?
well done. the only thing that is kinda silly is that you can’t really go see all those places on the board with 30 to 50km range. especially cause battery is not easily swappable. i do understand that you get paid for showing a great commercial;)
Hey Daniel Buddy ur videos are awesome Watching it from INDIA I got one without electric of course but I'm new to this and will be switching to off-road skateboard Can u help me with some best off-road skateboard where wheel change can be possible?? Btw good luck for ur next videos! Peace 👍👍👍
How is the wheel durability compared to the exway x1 pro, I chew through the exway rear hub motor urethanes in 100 miles or less unfortunately at 225lbs

Daniel Kwan you are the best board reviewer 💯
Great review as always! How does the Ranger feel compared to the Ownboard carbon AT?
I prefer Ranger’s deck flex and the way it turns
Boosted is 13S btw, and until recently wasn't any S because it had LiFePo4 cells which aren't the same voltage :D
Awesome video, keep it up
Thanks for the discount code :D
Have you try the top speed and range of it? Thx

Ok tell me what is better ownboard carbon AT or this backfire x2 ? ? ?
Thanks for highlighting me in your video. Love your vids.♥️

Hey mate I'm from Oz also - how did you go with the tyres situation ?
Love your videos and the X2 after unboxing my dad’s X2 we had so much fun.
Thank you for been objective. Loved the Silk Road Trip. What's next?
Probably gonna wait for backfire x3 and hope they increase the speed
I have a feeling they’d only increase the top speed if they abandon DKP trucks. I’m all for that.
The end portion is the best Daniel (: I was hoping that I will see myself :) maybe some other time
Although I'm kinda bummed as a X1 owner, I hope the X2 does well because the Ranger is a great bargain for an AT board and definitely deserves more attention.
I bought my X1 in early July :( I like it but I'm now wanting more pep. I might get the X2 and use the X1 as a guest board
Definitely, want an eskate by next season. I'm thinking the next generation of electric skateboards will be top-notch.
Daniel, I am impressed with your vlog. Excellent dude! Cheers from USA
Wow! Well done!!
"Spending a lot of intimate time with the X2" dude you're killing me 🤣🙌!! Again, keep it up 🤙
That ad placement in the middle had me thinking the video was over lol
FANTASITC work Daniel as always. This was the only video I needed to watch on this board. Well... except your next one that is. ;)

Carving with double king pin trucks is amazing
that was an awesome series hopefully you do another run like that soon!
Do youknow how backfire boards handle water? Here in Sweden you never know when the rain is gonna hit!
??
Great review as usual. Those shots at the end were great. Looks like an amazing place to ride. Wish it was easier to travel with large batteries.
Daniel, can you mention what knee and elbow pads are you using, with a link preferably please. Thank you
Yea I just got the zealot and live shredding on the board. Think I may get this one next.
How would you compare it to an Evolve GTX AT?
Used your code to purchase a WowGo3x. Can't wait to get it.

First! Nice review btw i wish i could try all the electric skateboards like u do!
I really like your reviews and considering to buy a Backfire G3.
Did you end up getting the G3?
whats the new top speed now for your weight? and how much does the turbo mood add up for the speed.
Top speed is still capped at 35 km/h regardless of rider weight. Turbo on the RX2 only increases torque.
Hey Dan, do you know what the drop height is from the ends of the board down to the deck... looks like approx and inch....

Omg this is so exiting. I just Bought the wowgo AT haha, I want to try the X2 now.
Have u ever tried the Onewheels? Curious to see what u think of them compared to AT eskate boards
Omg I thought that wheel was the mic at the start xD
Would you choose the Ranger x2 or the Wowgo at2? Thanks 😊
Nice, I love my bamboo GTR but your right about hub motors being better off road. I’m considering selling my Boosted Board for one of these
ill take it for free jk
I will
What’s the acceleration and top speed realistically for a rider who weighs 250? I’m worried the flex will make my battery scrape and break long term. Are the belt motors of the Ownboard Carbon AT better for a heavier rider?
Is it worth a 40% price premium over the X1?
Hi Danial, in your X1 review video, you mentioned the board will wobble at high speed. Does X2 solve the speed wobble problem?
Are you going to the US for another series with the Backfire ranger x2?
That was the original plan but seems we’re gonna go elsewhere this time
had my eye on the x1 since it came out now we got the x2 which by what you saying seemed to blow x1 away
I think all the small, seemingly insignificant changes added together make the overall experience much better

I just bought one should I have waited for the x3?
What's the average range and how often did you charge the boards during the trip?
Did u get the new Backfire G3 and backfire mini??
Nope
Can you do a review on the Ranger X3? 😁
Would you say the tork is a noticeable iij improvement even without the Turbo?
Trying to get my x1 order changed to an x2 as we speak
Do they have it o german warehouse?..what is the cost of shipping to europe??
As alwayd great review and this is looking most likely to be my next purchase. Have you ever tried the evolve boards at all?
I haven’t. They’re pretty rare in China, I’ve personally seen only two.

is the backfire ranger x2 better than the raldey carbon? the raldey looks for me way more powerful for the same price
Do you recommend the Ranger with the 6 inch AT wheels, or 120mm Cloudwheels?
You can’t change the back wheels on Ranger
Which one is better, wowgo AT 2 or Blackfire ranger X2?
Hey I'm looking into buying a board, what do you recommend me in the price range of 1000 to 1500?
how does this compare to the evolve CARBON GTR series?

Nope never tried one
MEEPO V3! When is that review coming
🤷♂️
Compared to other companies, Meepo has been very selective with their reviewers since the v2. Not good for sales, ya know
Daniel Kwan man don’t shrug me give me a goddamn answer

Hmmm very interesting.. I just got rid of my boosted V2 , perhaps this would be one of my choice. When is this board release?
It’s available now
Ownboard AT or Ranger X2?? Ownboard more Torque and Ranger is a more comfortable ride? which would you prefer?
How is the wheel durability compared to the exway x1 pro, I chew through the exway rear hub motor urethanes in 100 miles or less unfortunately at 225lbs
That’s unfortunately one of those things that are difficult for me to test since I ride several boards and the roads in my area are mostly quite good.
can you get a back up battery like the evolve it can be changed if battery runs out
Yes but it’s not very convenient to change
KWAAAAAANNN!
Does anyone recommend getting the year warranty on the X2 or nah?

I don't see it for sale on the website yet? Or am I doing something wrong?

Daniel :) Thanks so much. I found it!
How does the new light bracket work on the front?
I assume same as RX1
@@DanielKwan I mean the red T on the front. What is that?
It’s just decoration. You’d have to take it off to mount the headlight.
Dude is it able to ride during winter? Going to use it everyday
Sure why not
Damn bro I am in, thx 4 discount
This or the ownboard AT?🤔
Bro that intro! Hahaha kwan down! KWAN DOWN!
Would you ride it in rain and through puddles? Also, do you think the 35 kph is slow, or is it fine?
X1 takes water and puddles fine.. X2 will also be fine.. YOU on the other hand will be sprayed with all crap mixed in with the water.. this board needs fender/mudflaps..
Puddles should be fine. For really heavy rain I think I’d take steps to improve the water resistance first.
Oh and 35 kph is fine for me personally. I wouldn’t mind a little faster but I don’t have a problem with 35.
Daniel Kwan One of my hub motors got water damaged what do I do?
Daniel Kwan I learned the hard way
Why does higher voltage mean more efficiency?
The higher the voltage the lower the current V=IR. Who knew school actually taught us useful stuff
If you like the x1 you'll like the x2 even more, then you'll love the evolve bamboo gtr
Time for an update. X3
So as of now, which do you prefer Daniel? The ownboard carbon at with belt drive / stiff deck
Or the newer ranger x2 with new hubs / airless tyres?
Yes that's also a good question because I've ordered ownboard carbon at to test it
I enjoy the Ranger more. But imagine if OCAT could swap to street wheels. Could be a legit alternative to Evolve. That’s something Ranger can’t do.
@@DanielKwan that's a good point. Excited to see what the ownboard has next. 2n1 would be interesting
Craving bro
Can you plzzz test the water resistent
I don't understand
It can he used in heavy downpour but only for a few days
Pls do x3 review
It's so nice but it's slow. It's always one thing on every board. Wish I knew how to just make one. Seems really complicated tho.
