Hey fellow riders I hope you enjoy the video. If you like this board, I have a link in the description you can use to purchase your board and accessories. When you do so it supports the channel. I also have a link in the description for true2lifemerch. Here are a few updates regarding the X3. 👉Boards will ship by Nov. 30th for the first orders 👉 The X4 deck is a composite deck just like Zealot from a new supplier. the Flex is really good. 👉 The Board comes with a 1 year warranty 👉 Fast charger is sold as an option with the board: 4A charger vs the standard 2.5A. The board ships with 2.5A. 🚨Some of this info was given to me after my review was completed. Stay safe.
acidkhmer possibly I think what Backfire is going for is ease of use and a care free riding experience. With this board you don’t need to inflate tires, change belts, adjust belts, remove rocks .... it’s personal preference though. This board is still very comfortable but like I said it’s up to what the rider wants. What is your primary board?
You are so right about the final opinion,I'm that kind of people.I just want to ride,I don't want to worry about the wheel, the hub or the riot, the belt...so many thing to learn.I just wanna ride easily!
Excellent review as always. Your wife wanting the x3 is relatable. My girl rode my OB with riptide bushings and 7" pnuematics a few months ago and that's what she would like for Christmas. That setup wasn't cheap! X3 might be the way to go.
spliff de la kong hey brother. Good to hear from you. Yes I agree the X3 is solid and practically maintenance free. Great board I think for what you are looking for. Take care.
Dude I just bought my first electric board and already am looking for a nicer AT board and this is exactly the review I was looking for. You and dkwan have got probably the best reviews for eskates I’ve found. Thanks man!
I have the mudguards They are a tad difficult to make everything tight so it doesn’t make bonus noises. My recent video is full of clanks I have to chase down.
The quality of your vids has come a long way from your older ones. I'm a 200lb guy myself so watching your vids give me a more realistic expectation on how these boards will preform for me. Keep up the reviews.
This is the best Ranger X3 review! After hours of reviews I was considering this for my first board. You brought up excellent points on the maintenance and I agree. I have scooters - Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11, but I bought it for stability more than speed (although the speed is amazing). So, stability and smooth strong brakes on the skateboard are most important. I was advised the deck on the X3 is very flexy and with the double kingpin it might be a challenge. Have you ever ridden the X2, if so how did it compare? I hope someone can answer, I am 60 and trust me youngsters, you don't heal fast.
Hey there. I have never ridden a X2 but have you seen Backfired new Hammer. Looks really solid. Z3 is great for comfort and carving around. It is not a speed demon but it’s very comfortable.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent Thanks for replying. I feel like with the Hammer they are going against what they have been saying as far as hub motors and non-pneumatic tires being a better choice. If I were to go chain, I think I would go with Atlas Carbon 2WD. I have heard it has a very stable and stiffer board, and more stable struts. More expensive, plus you don't get the lights with the Atlas. In either case, both boards are probably faster than I need. If you have ridden an Atlas would appreciate your opinion. Thanks again
I have an x2 I put 800 miles on. And an x3 I just put 75 miles on. I just started my channel to show the fun I have. I’m working on making my channel better. I have to replace the battery after 800 miles on the x2. But I love it so much. The board flexes the same as the x2 I recommend the x3 it has a better range and mine came with lights and mudguards.
Well done MrPhillips, even have merch now! there are a lot of Great All-Terrain contenders out there now between ECOMOBL-M24, Raldey-V.2, WowGo-AT2, Evolve-GTR, & now Backfire-X3, and soon Exway-Atlas this is just going to make deciding a little bit harder for a budget to mid-tier All-Terrain board. But it is Great to see all these companies putting out Great new boards :-)
Christopher Adeler I really appreciate that. Had a lot of fun with this one. Hopefully I can get my hands on some of those boards to test for you guys. Stay safe brother. 👌🏾👌🏾
This is vid is super informative. I am a person that knows nothing about electric boards at all Thanks for making videos like this for people like me!!!
@@EXECUTI0N619 how long did it take to arrive? 2 weeks. How long did it take to learn how to ride it? 30 minutes to an hour riding in a tennis court :).
@@Strik3fr33d0m ahhh got cha. since mine is getting shipped via boat from China I have to wait 30-35 business days lol It’ll be worth the wait. I’ll ride my XR till then lol
@@EXECUTI0N619 mine also was shipped from china, but it arrived allot sooner then expected!! Honestly after riding my Ranger X3 I have no use for my XR and planning on selling it. I just feel way more comfortable and safe, no risk of nose dives is the best feeling.
@@Strik3fr33d0m I hear you. Ima be keeping mine, I like the way it rides and the nostalgia feeling it gives me. I’m a pretty conservative rider so I don’t really nose dive to often. I can’t wait till my X3 Comes though. Always nice to have a variety. And since It’s a bit more safe I could go faster without the nose dive fear lol
What up bro. I really appreciate that. Yes can’t wait to get out with the guys. Been kind of absent because I been riding this and at the time I could not let anyone see it.
I appreciate that. It means a lot. I try and be transparent and fair. I think it’s only fair to the consumer and companies that work with me. Thank you for the support. 🙏🙏
QUALITY video bro, how do you not have more subs? Was considering this board for cruising around the beach where things can get sandy and belts would be damaged. Hello from Cali 🤙
Yo west coast 🤟🤟. I think that’s a good idea this board is a great carver and cruiser. A lot of people are saying that. If you decided on the board consider using my link to support.
Our man is too honest. My guess is it's because he's a heavier guy that would make the range/ speed look lower than advertised and gives real world specs for that demo. I agree with you though. Every company should send him boards to review because people his size/ weight wanna know how a board will ride for them.
Because they no he is aligned with backfire. The Chinese company's all talk with each other share data an info hell some of them are from the same family teamgee/lycaon
Excellent review, thank you. I had the Ranger X2 and the Evolve Bamboo GTR but gave them both as a gifts to friends. I’m now on a custom OneWheel XR but miss the feeling of being on an esk8. Hopefully they have a X4 out by the spring.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent I think it is interesting but I'm not a fan of belt driven motors. For all the reasons you stated and personally having my evolve fail in the trails
@gotham158 i don't like belt motors either. I have the meepo v4s. I can push and coast almost just like a normal board, it is much quieter than my buddies belt driven exway carbon. I did just move to Colorado and the roads here suck so he does have a leg up because it is so smooth on his big air tires.
Dude this was a great review!!!! No joke I am about to make a purchase this week! I was debating and doing research into different brands and found your video. I used the Meepo electric longboard and want to upgrade to an all terrain style and everything you spoke about covered what I didn’t like about my meepo for downtown Charleston. The side walks here are super uneven so the repetitive hits to the feet are a lot so I want some better wheels and these look awesome. I also need a light and meepo hasn’t had any in stock for the past couple of years lol.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent Well it's a toss up. Let me explain. I had a really good few months here on UA-cam with my last month being the best I ever had with near 1 million views. I'll be using that $$ to buy a couple new cameras. One for the darts reviews and another for when I'm out and about riding. So... I'm not holding my breath but if we end up getting a stimulus for $1400 I very well might get the Backfire X3. Maybe. If not I will 100% get the new Zealot S. One or the other. Leaning towards the S though 👍🏻
Big thumbs up for being one of the first, if not the first, to get your hands on the board and reviewing it! I owned the X1 and it was a solid board. Ended up selling it because acceleration was slow for my taste. Backfire claims the power was upped by 30% but it sounds like it could use a bit more torque.
Yes I have heard that the X3 is suppose to have more acceleration and torque. I don’t have an X1 or x2 to compare with though. But from people I have spoken to that have them both the X3 is suppose to have more torque.
AT's not my thing but well, i'm glad Backfire does stuff for everyone. My only hope is for a G4 with a dropthrough deck. Only thing missing to my G3 plus
Like you I was not an AT person until this board. It’s really a care free riding experience. But I am glad I have options. As the video eluded to I really don’t have an AT board it’s my wife’s board 😝😝
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent yh I'm good bro. That merch though 🔥🔥 the idea alone is dope af and much NEEDED in esk8 👏🏼👏🏼 Lotta valid points made in this. It's very true that hub drive suits AT better than belt drive solely due to the debris issue. Everyone needs to implement Backfire's utilisation of turbo mode, cos like you say, you can switch it on or off easily with one button instead of cycling through modes. Good luck hidin the board from your family haha.
eBoard3R the board is already gone 😆😆 it’s been my wife’s board as soon a the review was done. Backfire help me out 🤦♂️ thanks man for the compliment on the merch. I am excited about it.
It would be awesome to follow up with the Eovan carbon/standard review. I want to see you weigh in on the hype and maybe compare. Call them up and ask them why they're sleepin on sending them.
I've just bought this board and as a 75kg 47 year old man from the UK who's been Skateboarding from his teens here's my thoughts. The board is great fun but it could be better for the UK. It's let down by the remote. It's not designed to be used with a thick glove, for a limited AT board the remote is a street board design for summer use. ECCO mode is too slow and Sport is over sensitive. There's room for a normal, something that takes you faster at a slower pace off the bat. The Range in just above freezing is about 8 to 10 miles in rolling Devon hills. In 10 degrees I was getting about 14 so it will be interesting to see what the summer brings. The mud guards are great but one is noisy so have to sort that out. The tyres seem ok with good grip. What I'm going to do is update the bushings and replace the bearings with old boy ceramic. We the higher speed even the cheapest ceramic will outperform a steel and let's face it that's where they cut costs. Backfire should do a full slick because UK roads and streets are rubbish for street wheels. Firstly they need to sort the remote out so the board is really for all seasons.. ✌️
When you wear gloves place your index finger on the small groove on top of the remote. Don’t put it in the circle thing. Glad you are enjoying the board. 🤟🤟
Just got mine last week, and the reveiw is spot on. it being marketed as dual 1500W motors left me surprised at the lack of power this board has. However, this board and wheels are super comfortable! Definitely going to be my daily cruiser. Instead of getting a Jeep, I got a Cadaillac with heated leather seats haha.
Mr P, as someone wanting to upgrade from my Ranger X1, Thank for your review. I must also state that along with your beautiful wife and you, of course, Little Jam knows what he's doing on an eboard! I am one of those riders who does not want to worry about belts. So I am a big fan of hub drive, despite being stuck with no choice in drive wheels. In conclusion, Mr P, you have again attained the top with this review.
David Linscheid I really appreciate that. Yes my son has really gotten good. I have to tell him to slow down. You should see him on the Zealot. He had a little fall when the guard cut off I won’t say on which board but we don’t ride it anymore. It humbled him a little he needed it. He has actually had done a few group rides. Lol I think you will enjoy the X3 I like the simplicity and care free nature of the board. Thanks for stopping by. Take care.
okay, the logic for "defending" the trubo mode just doesn't work, there are two buttons, you can just make them up and down buttons so you don't have to "cycle thru"
Great review man! I just jumped into the eskate world coming from OW and EUC. Watched a bunch of your videos, you do a great job of giving info and keeping it entertaining too. I snagged the BKB Duo but this thing looks like a pretty epic board! Looking forward to watching more of your content brother! Subbbbbbbed.
Awesome! Thank you! How is that BKB treating you? We have been enjoying this X3. Everyone says that the board is officially my wife's though LOL. Who knows LOL
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent First eskate for me, so stoked on it. Been on onewheels for a year or so and snagged a EUC a couple months ago. I ordered the BKB Sunday, had it by Friday. So Ive only had it a few days now. It's crazy powerful and super fun. First ride I hit 26mph on the 120mm clouds and it had so much more power to go. Ill have a build video of it out this weekend and more to come as I come to some conclusions on it compared to Onewheel and EUC. Amazing board though and really great customer service.
Hey man ! Just a head's up to say : fantastic review ! Footage, music, very well organized in your delivery. It was great work ! I enjoyed it very much ! (now I need to know what shoes did you wear, the grey Back to the future 2 style shoes. I need the same !). You're making me tilt over a Ranger X3 for my next board. I already own a Ranger X1, but had a few bad falls because of the instability of the double Kingpin trucks; so I was a bit miffy about it. I'm solidly attracted by direct drive boards, now, like the Onsra Black Carve (Daniel Kwan made a solid review on it, if you're curious), but since you mention in your review that the Ranger X3 is actually more stable at hi-speed, I might reconsider coming back over to Backfire.
nice review. looking at purchasing this board. its been a couple of years since this review. how well are the tyres holding up? are those orange zip ties you had on the back for a handle or is it an aftermarket purchase? t.x.
😍😍if so that would be cool. Kinda like the exway set up. Imaginge being able to put the evolve gtr back trucks and moters on...and swap the front wheels too....
See, I used to think that Turbo eats more battery power but I don’t think it does. You’re not from NYC but I rode from 135th street in Manhattan, down the West Side Highway(the bike path) across Southern Manhattan to get across the Williamsburg Bridge into Brooklyn exclusively in turbo mode. I kept it in turbo the whole time because of the lights since my brake light had broken the day before and it worked great. The total distance was 13.5 miles, ride time was an hour and 15 ish minutes and my average speed was ~ 15mph. I’m 220 pounds, we’re the same weight. I think you can just ride exclusively in turbo and you won’t see a dip in performance as long as you’re not full sending it. I say all this to say that if you’re not full sending in turbo mode, you can get some GOOD range out of your board.
Chris Ferdinand Interesting. Most of the time when I ride in turbo I am riding fast. If not I just ride in sport mode because the board is still really fast. I can still get around 24 I so sort mode which is really solid. 🤙🤙
Hi...really liking your reviews! Hey could you comment on the performance and feel of the Ecomobl ET compared to the Backfire X3 ?? Both are on my short list
Before I Thumbs up.... I have alot of questions. I have the ranger x1 (redux) i got 17 miles range all the time. How much does this board weigh? It looks like they closed the front wheels again???? You really didnt question anything about this board... It sounded if you just read the notes to make backfire look good. top speed is the same. deck is the same..... double kingpin trucks are the same.... i think i may go for the WOWGO AT 2 for my next purchase. Not ot mention that back support has not been very kind too me'
Didn't read comments and if it was addressed in your vid my apologies. How well can it free ride ? for those those emergency situations and u don't want to carry it all the way back. Some people ( kids) just don't keep track of battery levels. Being hub as opposed to belt and all.

It depends sometimes you hear it other times you don’t. This is especially the case if you ride with a full face helmet or you ride with music playing. You may not hear it.
YMK The Creative I know so many choices. Your next board has to be one like this an AT style. You will like it. You may never ride a street board again 😳🤷♂️😜
So I know next to nothing about Eskate or even long boarding. The last time i was on a board was the 80s and it was a monster Metallica board. I am looking to pick up a board for weekend runs with the possibility of using it to help with my daily commute. Would you say this is a good board for a new user to pick up and learn on?
Yes I would say this is a great board to learn on. The board setup allows you to roll over almost anything, the board is comfortable, the controls are smooth and like I said in the video I think it is an excellent commuter board.
Hey, man I was just like you. Hadn't really touched a board since my Vision Shredder in the 80's! I got the first backfire esk8 (Galaxy) and it was ok. After 6 months commuting on it I got the Ranger x1 about a year and a half ago and I love the heck out of it. The only thing I'd swap it for is a better version.
Hi Mr Phillips, in the video it seems you managed to fit the shredlights SL-200 underneath the tail. If so, which mount did you use? The standard, the flat, another one? Thank you!
I know you said you would like to see more torque out of it. Just to get an idea, on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being crazy torque, what would you rate this at? I know it is based on each person's tolerance, but since you have ridden so many boards, maybe you have a better idea.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent I figured you would say it depends on what you are comparing it to, so I tried to prevent that response with the 1-10 torque scale lol! Oh well, I tried! Thank you though, and have a good weekend
Hi there. I am worried about the board's weight. According to the specs (deck size, battery, etc), it should be somewhere between 13 and 14 kg (fully equipped, mudguards, lights...). Am I right? If so, how was your overall experience considering the weight? I am not sure about how convenient it is (subway, elevator, etc...) on a daily basis. I know it is an AT board, but for the price, I want to consider all options, not only the off-road capacities, including my daily travel to get to my workplace. Thanks!
virus WARNING good questions. You really don’t buy an AT Board for portability. I just weighed the board on my home scale. It’s 28 pounds. I don’t have the mud guards. But I do have Shred Lights on it. You can easily pull the board or lift it for a moment if you need to. Like I said in the video I think the board makes a good commuter. I don’t think that mud guards would add too much weight.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent Thanks man, I got your point. Twenty-eight pounds is something (Ranger X2 is only 23.8 pounds). Although, not even closed to a Bajaboard but something I have to consider.
Hey! Love your reviews! One question you didn't address and it's all over the facebook groups: is it worth $1500?! I can get an Evolve with $1500. This is encroaching premium territory
That’s a good question. I have only ridden an Evolve Board once and for a short period. I would say they both have their benefits. People may need to create a short list of things most important to them them make a decision. I don’t think they are the same price though because Backfire is including accessories that can be 100-200 dollars. I think it’s a good debate though. I hope this helps.
Man I just wish they would do pneumatic wheels. I'm in the country and its all grass and dirt roads. Looks like this board would handle it but it would suck to spend the $ and it not perform
camo master tires weigh air have their place. But you could also get a puncture in your tire. These wheels won’t do that. How bad are the roads where you are?
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent they are fairly decent. Hard packed gravel but you always have a few stones laying on top here and there. I've seen plenty of videos of the x2 on dirt/gravel roads but always for a short time. Its the prolonged riding that worries me😒
As usual very good review! I just saw that the Meepo City Rider 2 is available...any chance you could review it? It has some cool features I'm just a little skeptical about quality of Meepo. I have a Backfire Zealot I love but would like to add a all terrain to my stable. Thanks 😊
William Parsley would love to check that out for you guys. Maybe shoot them an email requesting/asking if I can check it out. Thanks for the support and for stopping by.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent by any chance can i know how long is Ranger X3 also do you have any brand recommendations for longboard bag that suitable & easy to bring around when travel or for storing the board when not in use.
Hi just caught this vid. I'm currently thinking of getting a AT board. Would you recommend this X3 or the Ecomobl ET you reviewed prior? I know the ET has more maintenance on the gear drive but its now on sale for
Scott Sum they are different boards to me really no comparison. ET may be more suited for off road Backfire is a little more comfortable. They are different to me. Really can not compare them.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent I understand. Pardon me for being a pest ya but would you have the tiniest of misgivings in buying the Ecomobl ET with your hard earned money? Thanks a bunch!
Jessabeautyyy I like the Ranger X3. You get a lot of accessories with it. Lights, mud guards and a one year warranty. You also have built in lights and unlimited turbo. I hope this helps. If you do decide to buy, consider using the link in description. It supports the channel and allows me to continue to create content.
Someone else asked that question. They are different boards. Not really much in common, top speeds different, trucks different, ESC different, lights different... ET more suited for trials Backfire great commuter. Thus is a shirt answer. Too much to compare to type. Check out both reviews. Decide what’s most important. 🤙🤙
iamalavalamp I was not provided that info. Sometimes info is provided later. I was given the board a while ago. I am not told every single aspect about a board. Check the website. But the seal around enclosure is solid and this is a hub motor board. So it should be a solid rating.
😀😀😆🤦♂️😎 they are different boards. I think the Zealot S is going to be a beast. If you are worried about comfort you can put cloud wheels in it. 🤟🤟meaning the Zealot S
Michelle Lindstrom they are two completely different boards. Really not much to compare. What features are you most interested in when you purchase a board?
Shen Vega you should also look at my Zealot review. Flex and X3 are way different. Zealot and Flex are similar. Watch my Zealot review the comprehensive one. ua-cam.com/video/yabd80XsgDc/v-deo.html
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent I was going to go with the hub drive on the flex because I like the quiet motor, but I have the possibility to change/upgrade later if I decide I want more comfort. (I do wish you did a sound check on the X3 motor. I always like to hear how the motor sounds). The idea of a comfortable hub drive is appealing. I was thinking, man, I wish I could get those 105 cloud wheels on the flex with a hub drive. I havent ridden an electric board, but I push my longboard 10 miles a day to work and back on some 80a orangatang wheels. At 145 lb and 15+ years of intense longboarding experience, I know I can handle a little less comfort. Now, seeing the X3, wanting something primarily for commuting, but capable of fun, I'm not so sure which one to go for.
Shen Vega the X3 is basically silent that is why I did not do a sound check and such. If you are focused on hubs also look at the Backfire G3 I have a review on that too. It’s up to you really. The X3 is very comfortable. You are looking in the right places.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent Thanks! I really appreciate your reviews and your response. Helping me get some peace of mind! I did some G3 research today after checking out the X3 and I think the G3 Plus is the top contender for what I will need out of a board. Solid range and speed. 16 lbs means some practical portability, not that ill be carrying this thing around with a 20 mile range, but it might fit my pre-existing skateboard backpack. I like the factory wheels for the G3 Plus, and, thanks to another one of your videos, I now know that cloudwheels does in fact make a hub drive wheel attachment.
Shen Vega personally I say look at the X3 or Zealot. Zealot you have who’ll options. But basically all the new model backfire boards are solid G3, g3 plus, Zealot, X3 If you decide on backfire I have a link in description it supports the channel.
Oshie yes. This board is really solid first board. Comfortable easy to learn on and good customer support. My wife loves it she took it from me 🤦♂️🤦♂️ I have a link in description. When you use it it supports the channel.
Awesome review! Thanks for putting this together. You mentioned the back wheels are wearing a bit more than the front. How much have they worn down and with how much use? Do you expect to have to replace them often? I'm likely going to buy one and will use your referral link.
Rather Be Outside I think it depends on how you ride and such. When mines arrived I had a prototype. They were worn some. I think they will last a while. Even if you need to replace them it’s good Backfire has US service. You don’t have to wait until it ships from out the country.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent Cool - I was a bit concerned that you had worn your tires down while doing this review - which I assumed wasn't all that many miles in total. I'm close to 250 lbs and ride pretty hard, so figure best to get a few replacement tires to be safe. I was on the fence between this board and the Evolve GTR - but watching your video (a few times) has convinced me to go with the X3. Cheers from Vancouver, BC.
I added trampa neumatic 6.5 inch tires on my X1 to lighten it a bit and the better bearings increase my top speed by a couple mph. How heavy do you find the front of the board?
I've been looking for 20+ mile range boards for a while now and couldn't find anything with a reasonable price.. Any suggestions? I'm thinking 800Wh+ Battery. For around 1000$. I want to do long tours on my board, not just 1hour of riding.
Hmm you could buy a backfire zealot and buy an extra battery. People run both batteries together and you will get close to 30 miles range. You could even buy cloud wheels too to make the ride more comfortable. That would put your close to 1000 and you would really get 30 miles
Hey Mr Phillips, would you say this is the best board for a heavy rider to commute on? I have a 7.6 mile commute with about 300 feet of elevation gain both ways. I could charge it while at work to make sure it’s topped off for the return commute. Would you recommend a different board? Your videos are great! Thanks!
When placing an order with Backfire USA they offer3 different extended warranties package plus another charge to protect the shipping. Does anyone have any feedback on those 3rd party companies and is it worth it?
Why there trash compared to the current gen top tier Chinese boards an have a long list of issues. Easily the most unsafe board in their class a verreal rs demolishes anything an evolve can do an the atlas will destroy them both.
Hey fellow riders I hope you enjoy the video. If you like this board, I have a link in the description you can use to purchase your board and accessories. When you do so it supports the channel. I also have a link in the description for true2lifemerch. Here are a few updates regarding the X3.

Really appreciate that. Really enjoy taking eskate and helping people choose boards while being fair as transparent. 🤙🤙
Damn this video is dope AF. You make Backfire look good!!!! I didn’t think I wanted this board until I saw this review.
Appreciate it. Really enjoyed this board and making this video.
Very well done video. You explained all the features. This is definitely a board worth considering.
Appreciate that. Really enjoyed making this review.
Finally got to watch the whole thing, great vid bro! Appreciate the opportunity to ride with you during your tests. Happy to hold a camera for ya!!
j-sun davis my man. Yes it always great to ride and just talk eskate. Hopefully we can links Th is weekend

How are you enjoying the board.
Love this board, picked it up last month. Coming from a Onewheel XR I was able to transition easily and ride with no problems!!
How long did shipping take?
@@EXECUTI0N619 how long did it take to arrive? 2 weeks. How long did it take to learn how to ride it? 30 minutes to an hour riding in a tennis court :).

I really appreciate that‼️ I enjoyed bringing you guys the video. Thanks for stoping by.
How the hell do you not have every board company sending you boards to review?
hard work and tenacity id assume 😂😎
Our man is too honest.
My guess is it's because he's a heavier guy that would make the range/ speed look lower than advertised and gives real world specs for that demo.
I agree with you though. Every company should send him boards to review because people his size/ weight wanna know how a board will ride for them.
I appreciate that bro.
Because they no he is aligned with backfire. The Chinese company's all talk with each other share data an info hell some of them are from the same family teamgee/lycaon
I read this all wrong lol

Excellent review, thank you. I had the Ranger X2 and the Evolve Bamboo GTR but gave them both as a gifts to friends. I’m now on a custom OneWheel XR but miss the feeling of being on an esk8. Hopefully they have a X4 out by the spring.
Check out the Hammer. I will have my review up soon.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent I think it is interesting but I'm not a fan of belt driven motors. For all the reasons you stated and personally having my evolve fail in the trails
Just received my X3 and watching your great review once more.
Hi Lansing, you give the best reviews! Subbed.
Appreciate it bro. Glad I could help.
This board looks good. I'm definitely considering.
It really solid. It is a lot of fun. Provided a completely different riding experience.
Thank you for the info, very detailed, great job
Dude this was a great review!!!! No joke I am about to make a purchase this week! I was debating and doing research into different brands and found your video. I used the Meepo electric longboard and want to upgrade to an all terrain style and everything you spoke about covered what I didn’t like about my meepo for downtown Charleston. The side walks here are super uneven so the repetitive hits to the feet are a lot so I want some better wheels and these look awesome. I also need a light and meepo hasn’t had any in stock for the past couple of years lol.
Eyeballing this one! Tempting!
Are you getting the new Zealot?
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent Well it's a toss up. Let me explain. I had a really good few months here on UA-cam with my last month being the best I ever had with near 1 million views. I'll be using that $$ to buy a couple new cameras. One for the darts reviews and another for when I'm out and about riding.
So... I'm not holding my breath but if we end up getting a stimulus for $1400 I very well might get the Backfire X3. Maybe. If not I will 100% get the new Zealot S. One or the other. Leaning towards the S though 👍🏻
Congrats on all those new views. Sounds very exciting. I wish you continued success. Where are you based
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent Thank you. Central NY. So much snow here right now though. 😭😭
Great video! I'm 46 and just ordered this one. Wish me luck! lol
How is it going with the board?
AT's not my thing but well, i'm glad Backfire does stuff for everyone.
My only hope is for a G4 with a dropthrough deck. Only thing missing to my G3 plus
Like you I was not an AT person until this board. It’s really a care free riding experience. But I am glad I have options. As the video eluded to I really don’t have an AT board it’s my wife’s board 😝😝
🔥Oof, *back at it* with a *backfire like an addict*
My man. What’s up bro. How things been. Man I enjoy this board. Allows me to just chill and ride. Hopefully my wife does not steal it from me 😬😬
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent yh I'm good bro.

Definitely looking into getting this. Have 2 starter boards and I think it's time to save for a long term board with a strong company behind it
What boards do you have?
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent Blink S-R and a JKing 02 which is my long distance rider right now. Hoping to get a great board in 2-3 weeks
Great breakdown man!

@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent First eskate for me, so stoked on it. Been on onewheels for a year or so and snagged a EUC a couple months ago. I ordered the BKB Sunday, had it by Friday.
Yes I like the board. A good cruiser and commuter.
nice review. looking at purchasing this board. its been a couple of years since this review. how well are the tyres holding up? are those orange zip ties you had on the back for a handle or is it an aftermarket purchase? t.x.
Those motor connectors looks like the ones evolve uses... I wonder if they are hot swappable.
That’s a good question. I am sure someone will experiment with it.
😍😍if so that would be cool. Kinda like the exway set up. Imaginge being able to put the evolve gtr back trucks and moters on...and swap the front wheels too....
Ma Bish that would be crazy. Funny thing is most of these boards come from the same factories. Same motors, ESC... so it may be possible.
Where did you get the orange handle on the end of the board?
He mentions in a comment from a couple years ago that it’s a rubberized tie. They have them at Home Depot.
Love the Vid, I have ordered one myself. I have heard a few stories of the trucks being super loose on arrival. Did you find this to be the case?
Good review I have a OW and looking to get a board
Hi...really liking your reviews! Hey could you comment on the performance and feel of the Ecomobl ET compared to the Backfire X3 ?? Both are on my short list
They are both cool but they are different. I may need to do a video and compare. It would take a lot to compare them via text.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent That’s awesome 🤩 any a update on this video?

If a pebble gets into a belt drive will you hear it straight away or do you totally have to inspect boards to know if there is crap in the belt?
It depends sometimes you hear it other times you don’t. This is especially the case if you ride with a full face helmet or you ride with music playing. You may not hear it.
another solid review, its getting hard to decide on my next board, a lot of viable options. we will see come xmas time lmao

I know you said you would like to see more torque out of it. Just to get an idea, on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being crazy torque, what would you rate this at? I know it is based on each person's tolerance, but since you have ridden so many boards, maybe you have a better idea.
It depends on what I a comparing it to. The torque is fine. Take care.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent I figured you would say it depends on what you are comparing it to, so I tried to prevent that response with the 1-10 torque scale lol! Oh well, I tried! Thank you though, and have a good weekend
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent How about if you compare to Ecomobl ET

If I was buying my first All-Terrain board, would you get this one over anything on the market? I do not want belts. Thank you

The remote control looks like it will tape good against the grip handle of my AR-15

My Ecomobl ET has mucho torque baby!
What about riding with a stif deck Comparing to flex one I am 92 kg. Choosing my first Eboard )
Hello, great review! what is the orange cord you attached to your board? I need one for my ranger x3 too
I added trampa neumatic 6.5 inch tires on my X1 to lighten it a bit and the better bearings increase my top speed by a couple mph. How heavy do you find the front of the board?
Stanley McCrea the board feels nimble to me. I have no issues. How did you rig the board to accept neumatic tires?
Pretty simple to do. Just purchased wheels from trampa. 6.5 inch urban treads and 9.525 bearing reducers.
EOVAN GTS
Hey Mr Phillips, would you say this is the best board for a heavy rider to commute on? I have a 7.6 mile commute with about 300 feet of elevation gain both ways. I could charge it while at work to make sure it’s topped off for the return commute. Would you recommend a different board? Your videos are great! Thanks!
How much do you weigh?

When placing an order with Backfire USA they offer3 different extended warranties package plus another charge to protect the shipping. Does anyone have any feedback on those 3rd party companies and is it worth it?
Asurion is well known.
Bro you need to review an evolve gtr!!
Fernando Contreras I have to get my hands on one first. 🤙🤙🤙 I open to doing it.
Why there trash compared to the current gen top tier Chinese boards an have a long list of issues. Easily the most unsafe board in their class a verreal rs demolishes anything an evolve can do an the atlas will destroy them both.
