Get a face shield that accepts a pin lock, the pin lock shields will eliminate fogging in a full face helmet, I’m 61 have ridden with brain buckets most of my life but recently switched to a Shoei Neotec 2 modular helmet and like it a lot. Took some getting used to but used it on a 4400 mile trip to Sturgis in August and it worked out great even in 108 degrees weather.

I strongly second the pinlock. I ride in Seattle year round in cool and wet conditions, and a properly installed pinlock face shield stays completely fog free. You will be amazed. The great part is- You can get a pinlock ready version of the shield for most brands of helmet. I have ones on a Shoei, an HJC, and a Bell.

I have a Sena helmet with the camera and communications built in, I like it more than I thought I would.
My kids talked me into a full face, I have been using peanut and half helmets for thirty years, it is a big adjustment but in cold weather it’s great.
It has a good anti fog liner that works very good.
Love your videos and your bike is great, be safe out there to many bad car drivers.

I was living and Skiing at Alta Utah in 1983.. That winter they got 720" of snow.. Powder snow hitting your bare kneck when you are skiing waste Deep Powder hitting bare skin is not pleasant.. I bought a Neck Gator that covers part of my chest and back .. so much warmer than others.. I finally found a gator I like in RevZilla similar to the thick knitted one I bought in 1983. This time of year I keep the neck gator in my Motorcyle luggare so I can put it on when it gets cold such as at night.
My Shoei Air II Helmet has a neck curtain .. it really reduces air noice in your Helemet.. My face shiled of course is dual pain .. but they have a pin lock system where into install a third layer to make it anti Fog.. I have never tried it .. Snowmobile Helemts have a piece that goes over your nise and mouth and a tube that vents the air you exhale out of your Helemet..
Of course My Helemet is Full Face.. but for my Next Helmet I want a Modular Helmet.. It's like a Full face but the whole front flips up when you want to talk ect.. with out having to Unbukle your chin strap ..
My Snowmobile Helmets have heated Visors that don't fog up . With My Shoei Full face .. I pop the face sheild open at a red light and often ride with it craced open one click for fresh are ventilation and then it does not fog up .. Also these helemets have flip down sun visor too .. Never have to hassel with sun glasses..

Meg I love this camera angle. You have such nice teeth. I wasn't going to say anything about your helmet because ''style'' is important to you. I have an Arai full face w/ an adjustable vent and crack /vent shield. My ultimate preference is a 3/4 Arai open face helmet. You can put a small windshield on your bikini fairing or get another ''cafe'' style fairing and cut the shield until the wind goes over your head w/out looking through it. Car drivers who see a human face are ''less'' likeiy to turn in front of you . A snap on visor works great on an open face helmet. you're the best !

If you install the sissy bar and a luggage rack you can use a sissy bar bag that will hold a good amount of gear for daily commutes ... As for open face or Half helmets ... They won't protect your face or teeth in a slide ... and they tend to lift up at highway speeds .... best of luck in your car wash venture ...

The trick the anti-fogging in a motorcycle helmet is “pin lock”. Most of the major helmet manufacturers make pin lock ready shields for their helmets. I have a Shoei RF-1200 and have ridden in mid-twenties temperatures without fogging.

Meg, you have a gorgeous smile! Simpson is a good brand in helmets. I have never had one, but that is the brand my Son used when he used race his stock car. I would check to see if your full face is pin lock ready. I wear an Arai full face that I purchased from Revzilla. It is important that your helmet fits your head shape. I am a long oval. Then there is intermediate oval, and round oval. The pin lock system will keep your face shield from fogging up. Enjoyed your vid., and hope you had a nice Thanksgiving! Ride, and be safe! 🤗

I have a Bell helmet. It is a modular type. It has a clear shield and a drop down sun shield like the fighter pilots have. Most full face helmets will fog up when setting still. To avoid this just lift the shield a click or two. Then close it when you resume forward motion. The trick is not to stop to often...lol. Be good and be safe!!

Not a big fan of full face helmets either. Like you, I prefer a 1/2 helmet. I like the extra visibility. Having said that, I do have a full face helmet and IF you were getting one anyway, look at a Shoei Neotec 2. It comes with what they call a pinlock which is an item to help mitigate the fogging you get. It is just a an extra layer that you install on the faceshield that traps air to the shield and thus prevents fogging. The Neotec 2 also is very comfortable (for me anyway). Again, like you, I prefer the 1/2 helmet any day of the week.

Look for helmets that have pinlock. Just google pinlock and it explains how they keep from fogging up and works really well for rain and cold weather. Best to try different helmets, they all fit differently. Car washes that need employees to feed the cars through have an extremely high turnover rate and theft. They hang out at the payment kiosk and if you pay them $10 in cash, they override and give you the $25 wash. Good luck if you go that route.
