Another great video. That dealer had so much choice. I moved from Harvey to Ducati after getting on the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Special, that I think you were sat on. Our dealer a two for sale so my partner and I bought them and have so much fun. They are comfortable, fast and the retro look adds appeal. The Ducati Panigale V4S you also sat on is fun, fast (214bhp), but extremely safe to ride with the incredible electronics build it. Not so great for the long journeys. I bought one of these and used it throughout the summer. Now it’s put away as the wether gets colder. The white Panigale V2 is also great fun. Hi Meg! I’m a 57 yo man who started riding when I was 11. I owned 2 Fat Boys (1995, 2002). I just acquired a 2022 HD Fat Boy 114 with only 60 miles on it. The previous owner must not have liked it either to lose $8k on the sale. Any how, I took my first ride on it this morning. While I was riding I kept hearing your words about not liking the handling of the bike because of the 240 rear tire. I found myself learning to ride all over again because the Fat Boy does not want to lean over like cruisers with smaller rear tires. I will have learn to master this fat tire handling situation. Doesn’t Mike have a 240 rear tire on his bike? Did he just learn to live with it? -Edward from Tx
Yes, Mike does have a 240, he makes up for turning ease by leaning the bike. However, as a result, he is close to scraping through his primary cover. Also, Mike is the most skilled rider I know and can ride any bike like it was made specifically for him so he’s not the best person to make judgments off. That’s an awesome deal though and if you’ve been a rider for all your life, you’ll adapt! Congratulations on the new bike!
Meg-licious (respectfully of course), don't listen to anyone who says you're not an authority on riding! You've got thousands of miles of experience under your belt. There are riders that have been riding for 10 years and haven't logged the mileage you've done. Btw for Halloween you can dress up as Ms Squidmonster? lol, you would have to tuck in the tentacles.
hello. I ride a 2019 Fat Boy, which is the best looking Harley at the moment. I would consider a Road Glide for my next bike but not for the looks. You say your bike is more performance oriented, but I don't think any Harley, except for the Pan America and the Sportster S (somewhat), is sport oriented. Your friends Fat Boy looks awesome btw. I had never ridden a Harley before coming from sporty bikes like Ducati Streetfighter and Yamaha MT-10, etcetera. But after a test ride (one of several on Harleys) I felt this was the bike for me.
Only Fat Boy I ever rode was my cousins bike In the mid 90s the bike rode well but without the rubber motor mounts the vibration was more than I wanted
@@toddricketts9498 that's strange. I had 2 fat boy wheels put on my 1200 sporty with a 32 degree raked wide glide front .I rode it 40 mile to work and back near every day ( even over a high bridge ) never had a prob with wind ( wheels ) ???
Sportbike community is a LOT more hooligan....they have never(all the way back to the late 80's) let people test ride new sportbikes....BMW and Ducati will (I've test rode a bunch of Beemers and Duc's) but the Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki not so much...they usually have Demo Days and they are at tons of demo rides at Biker events. Meg, you REALLY should test ride that Diavel, they are AWESOME bikes!! THe FatBoy has a VERY wide front tire, that why it handles so much different...it also tracks different...just takes some getting used to....there are a TON of mods you should go down that road...terminator rode one, so how bad can they be :D (Mike, the youtuber wouldnt be Jaret Campisi would it??)

The audio quality was good. It could have been a little louder compared to others I've heard. Are you planning on helmet to helmet with Cameraman? You guys would probably enjoy that as much as us subscribers would. Fatboys look pretty neat, but we like what we like. Its gotta feel right to be enjoyable.
The main reason why you don’t see many of Fat Boy on the road is: Fat Boy are only good on Straight Lines * Not made for Road you have to Turn \ Corners, never heard any reviews where the riders aren’t complaining about handling The Tiers are too Flat Just like the original Sportster Roadster Tires Changing the Tiers makes it to a Much more enjoyable Ride
Difference the tires from your bike to the fat boy makes world of difference. The fat boy is a low priced tour bike and handles as such. My o4 was great. Only problem was adjusting to the solid wheels. As usual love the vids and what 9your about.

Wearing a cape flying in the wind with face makeup
Hahaha great idea.
Hahaha. Interesting idea. Lol. Thank you for your kindness and vote of confidence. I appreciate it.
This video title reads humorous. Thanks!
Not by accident. Lol. 😜😘
@@megsmotorcyclejourney 😆
Have you test rode a Hertiage ?
I haven’t yet. Do you have one?
I had one, loved it, was very comfortable
Congratulations on the mike, dig the helmet hair just wondering when you gonna test out a road glide
I already have!

The deluxes one I've got to get
Only Fat Boy I ever rode was my cousins bike In the mid 90s the bike rode well but without the rubber motor mounts the vibration was more than I wanted
I felt like I got blown around on the highway… interesting. Thank you for watching!
@@megsmotorcyclejourney solid wheels are a problem in the wind , Safe journeys
@@toddricketts9498 that's strange. I had 2 fat boy wheels put on my 1200 sporty with a 32 degree raked wide glide front .I rode it 40 mile to work and back near every day ( even over a high bridge ) never had a prob with wind ( wheels ) ???
Dealers are waiting on new bikes....shipping problems.
I’ve heard that. Thank you for watching.
Yes that was who he was talking about. So disappointing that they don’t let you rest ride them. Thank you for the support and for watching.
Windy City International in IL sells Multi Brands . Triumph , maybe Royale Enfield and some Italian Brands..
Paris HD in TX also sells other Brands.. Many Dealers sell other Brands in a Seperate Building..
HD has not managed to Bully everyone .. the Dealer in TX is Grandfathered .. Pre HD's Monoply attempts..

The BMW.
Which one is your favorite?
@@megsmotorcyclejourney I had a 900cc but I'd try the R18
That seemed to be quite the nice dealer…. Nice how they even shown ya the back… ^^
My fervrit fat boy thanks thanks 😍😍😍😍😍🙌🙌❤❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👌
Thank you for your continued support!
@@megsmotorcyclejourney 😘🙏
Round of applause 👏🏽 for the audio!!!
Thank you! So many weeks in the making. Lol
I love the Fatboy, great fun ride for my size.
Costumes ideas: Deathsport or Ghost Rider for cameraman and The Wild Ones or Aftermath for you, basically a nuke survivor or scientist making it around.
Madmax would work as well.
I have had my 1993 Fatboy for a long time and can’t seem to give it up
Thank you! Great ideas. We appreciate you watching.
@@jaybarbre1016 nice! That’s a while to keep your bike- I hope I do the same.
You have more riding then me. The only riding of a motorcycle was in a motor cycle endorsement class. Not much time at all. I didn't pass. I still have my scooter. I am Still looking for a Teacher. Maybe some day.
Yes! We are planning it. Hopefully with calendar proceeds.
That's good to know about the brakes thanks
Evil Knievel outfits??
Good thoughts.
Great on the full helmet
I still hate it but I’m doing it for y’all
That's almost identical to my Deluxe
When are coming out west? You got fans out here.
We are going to Sturgis next year and hope to ride cross country the following year.
Stilettos shorts tank top and full face helmet Megan, lol. Let’s see the comments on that one. 😂😂😂
Hahaha. I’m sure people would be mad- however Halloween is coming and some people might just have to be angry 😜
4:22 👍👍.
Those solid wheels on the Fat Boy contribute a lot to the wind blowing you around.
Interesting- I wouldn’t have guessed that.
The main reason why you don’t see many of Fat Boy on the road is: Fat Boy are only good on Straight Lines
* Not made for Road you have to Turn \ Corners, never heard any reviews where the riders aren’t complaining about handling
The Tiers are too Flat
Just like the original Sportster Roadster Tires
Changing the Tiers makes it to a Much more enjoyable Ride
Difference the tires from your bike to the fat boy makes world of difference. The fat boy is a low priced tour bike and handles as such. My o4 was great. Only problem was adjusting to the solid wheels. As usual love the vids and what 9your about.
Aww thank you. Yes- totally different ride. Nice bike but I prefer mine.
Your helmet has pinlock don’t know if you have a pinlock inner visor? It will stop helmet steaming up when you stop nice video from uk 🇬🇧 p.s, good review x
Appreciate the kind words. I don’t know if I do. One of the MANY reasons I hate a full face- but will wear it for y’all. Lol
@@megsmotorcyclejourney if helmet steams up with visor shut you need a pinlock visor insert to sort it! I don’t care what helmet you wear I wear open face as well as full face depending on weather look forward to more videos from you both ! And a top reviewer rode the fatbob and said exactly the same as you! Slow turning ect he said it was a bit of a boat? Lol 😂 love from uk 🇬🇧 x
A wee bit early for xmas trees 🎄☃️🎄⛄🎄, some nice bikes though
Lol Christmas trees? I’m confused. Thank you for watching.
@@megsmotorcyclejourney there were two xmas trees in the bike shop , a red one & a larger green one, but you must have been distracted with all those beautiful bikes.
@megsmotorcyle BOOOOO!!! HIISSSSSS! HOW DARE YOU DISS THE TERMINATOR BIKE! HOW DARE YOU DISLIKE MY FATBOY AKA THE LAZYBOY which brings us my vlogs @the_lazyboy_adventures. Lol Lo key, I love my Fatboy. But, im ready to upgrade. Ya the newer Fatboy has wider front and rear tires making it bulky in turns. Mine isn't so bad with the 200 rear. But you still feel it. Definitely. But the bike for canyon carving lol I bet that Ducati Diavel would spark some fire 🔥
Lol. I meant no disrespect. It’s a nice bike but not for me. I’m glad you love yours. What are you thinking of upgrading to?
@@megsmotorcyclejourney i know just beating the real haters to it. Lmao i want a touring bike for sure like the limited road glide. With äll the bells and whistles. Lol a granddad bike that's cool 😎 and
Loud. Lol a 131ci screaming eagle wouldn't be bad either in it. 150hp ya all day.
I hate it that they stopped making them
Test ride a street glide you will be sold. And wear the pink leggings
I have done that. ua-cam.com/video/2iHuhdSoZGs/v-deo.html 🙂🙂

I'm a new writer just starting to learn what bike should I get I love the fat boy
Really good job guys! One of the across the board better produced vids! I too just road my first Fat Boy, and I was LOL’ing as you felt:said all the same things I felt. That rear brake!
Aww thank you! I hope I’m getting better. I’m sure trying. Appreciate the kind words.
The word “Especially “ doesn’t have an “x” in it. Lol. Pet peev
I felt she seemed a little rude when the sales guy was talking to hey she wanders off.
Before you even started talking, I thought she looks like she's bloody freezing.
But I do think you should give that big Ducati thing a go.
Hi Meg 👋 OK firstt off you looked Absolutely Stunning in that plaid top!!! And with those leather pants , whew!!! Your setup for your voice while riding was perfect this time 👍🤗 About the grooves through the road work , that fat front tire helps it feel much smoother than the skinny front tire on your bike , but it also doesn't turn as easy at low speed either , that's why you felt like it didn't handle as well as your bike does at low speed . Great video though , hope you didn't freeze too bad 😁 Here's a glove tip for non heated gloves , get a pair of silk glove liners and your hands won't get Near as Cold !!! I use them when I ride in the cold 20's-40's temp , and I've never used heated gloves and I do just fine 👍 Well Counselor , you have yourself an Awesome week , and look forward to seeing that infectious beautiful smile again soon 😊
Aww thank you! I’ve never heard the silk gloves tip but I’ll give it a try. Appreciate the feedback and you watching.
@@megsmotorcyclejourney You're welcome . Just look on line for silk glove liners , Cycle Gear sells them , just make sure they're real silk 👍 And thanks for always taking the time to respond , I know you're a busy gal , and that just speaks volumes about you and your sincerity in life and your channel 😊👍👏👏
My choice of bikes Is the fat boy with the 260 rear tire single seat sissy bar and rack for luggage
You look as one on the Diavel ♥️♥️ real cool ride
I might just try it’s
@@megsmotorcyclejourney Ducati make aftermarket exhaust for the Diavel which means Devil in Italian the sound is addictive there is a lot of sound clips on UA-cam
The audio is sounding really good even with the visor up you were coming in loud and clear. It would be good to hear what the magic combination is. A great video but to be honest I did not think you were going to like the Fat Boy its really kind of meant for bigger framed riders, my opinion, because of the width of the front tire and what it does to the handling. That being said you didn't look scared of it , nice job.
Aww thank you! The difference was using the right connections to the mic and mic placement. Thank you for the kind words! Appreciate you watching.
Meg I love yea but it’s pretty big on you. First thing is does you heated gloves work by plugging it into USB port? Soft rails have a port on the left side of the frame. Third you really should ride someone’s Deluxe. It’s what I have even though I don’t get to ride it. Very very nice bike. Hugs
A Halloween costume Nicholas cage in ghost rider you know were he rides on fire 🔥
I should let you ride my fatboy. Mines a bagger without the dish wheels. 2015 lo.
That would be awesome!
Would you please 🙏 😢 let your word post more time. I have to stop the video and remind and it kills the flow of the video. I can't read 😢 😪 that fast. I love you videos and will keep watching. ❤
Yes! Thank you for letting me know. I’ll
