Hi John, not a chance. Impossible for 99% of people to tell what the angle of attack is doing for the golf ball. Hope that helps.

I'm a good chipper so I'll skip this one but I agree the speed of the motion is absolutely critical and you have to have a mental and muscle memory you can go to. I practice with air balls on the carpet at home. A nice tight lie and you ain't chunking or digging there or the wife will k#@l you

Chipping is an area of golf where there is just so much contradictory information (garbage) out there. It is also an area where, almost more than any other aspect of golf, consistency of outcome is critical by which I mean that roughly the same swing delivers the same strike, roughly the same launch and spin rate resulting in the same ball flight and same roll out.
The added problem with chipping is that we need to have more than just a stock shot, you also need the high shot, the low runner, the one hop and stop shot and the understanding of when to use each type of shot.
And yes I definitely need chipping lessons

This is the only part of the game that I can confidently say I excel in, and in my perception, much of it comes from moving as if imagining that my club weighs a tonne.
