Man shot in the chest while returning to parked car from Mexico

The victim, a 32 year old male, parked his vehicle in a public parking lot and went to Mexico. He returned and was approaching his vehicle, when he was confronted by the suspect. The suspect pointed a gun at him as he was getting into his vehicle. He ignored the suspect and the suspect shot at him numerous times. One of the bullets struck the front windshield of the vehicle and struck him in the chest. The suspect then ran away. The victim called the police after being shot. The suspect fled the area on foot. The victim was transported to the hospital. His injuries are non-life threatening. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, in his 30's, About 6 feet tall and about 200 lbs. He is bald and has a goatee. He was wearing a gray hoodie, and dark blue shorts. Southern area Detectives responded to the scene and will be handling the investigation.
