Driver killed after crashing into MTS trolley

#VALENCIAPARK (San Diego) - September 29, 2020
A 22 year old male was driving his Toyota Prius southbound 500 60th Street towards Imperial Avenue. The driver ran the trolley arms and was hit by an eastbound trolley, pushing the vehicle about 100 feet down the tracks. The male was the only occupant in the vehicle and was pronounced on scene. San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating.

I see all to often in la Mesa, drivers disregard for the trolley signals and signs. Such a sad incident for all involved.
