On 09-10-2020 at approximately 11:02 pm, El Cajon Police Officers and paramedics responded to the intersection of Washington Avenue and S Orange Avenue in the city of El Cajon reference a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision in the roadway.
Based upon the initial investigation and evidence collected from the scene, it appears that the vehicle was traveling westbound on Washington Avenue approaching S Orange Avenue. Prior to the vehicle reaching S Orange Avenue, a pedestrian was crossing the roadway and was struck by the vehicle. The pedestrian is a female in her 50’s who sustained significant injuries to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, it does not appear drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision.
The El Cajon Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding this collision to call (619) 579-3311. We would also like to remind those who walk day or night to obey all traffic control devices, only cross the street at designated, controlled intersections, and wear bright or light colored clothing for visibility.

Rest in peace mom... I wish we could have had a better relationship...
Silver I’m so sorry for your loss. 😢.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Your mom and Mr. Noodle her dog were our neighbors for only a short time. The children always said hi to her and him.
Rest in peace mom.... I wish you and me could of gone fishing sometime so we could spend more time together
RIP. Pedestrian & vehicles need to be more cautious at night. Now this will forever be etched in the driver mind.
She was likely chasing her dog Noodles..
