In the world of luxury content full of hauls and unboxing, your channel feels like a breath of fresh air that reminds the internet that these products are called luxury for a reason, and such discretionary spending needs to be approached intentionally. Thank you!

I love this video. A lot of UA-camrs make videos about luxury shopping, but do not take the time to educated their audience on money. My husband & I payed off all our debt and thats when I started luxury shopping. I do not have an extensive collection as I am also taking a minimalist approach, but I love the items I have. If you are just starting your collection, don't be afraid to search the preloved market :)
Yes I totally agree. Before I had so many luxury designer bags that I dont use. By selling them I was able to buy my dream bag... now I only got 3 designer bags which I enjoy 🥰 love all your vids eireen

Great video. I have a "Play Account" and that is what I use to buy things I want/don't need. Really useful for budgeting. A great book I read is Think and Grow Rich. This just leads to the mindset of how to make money mindfully and learn how to enjoy the prospect of securing your future and enjoying the present. Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
Thanks a lot for these tips. We do need these reminders from time to time especially we have so many unboxing videos about beautiful luxury items on UA-cam channels which are always temptations for us. After all, luxury items are not necessary to our daily lives as we can live without them. Prioritizing our lives in a responsible manner is the utmost important.
I’m so happy to see you talking about this Eileen! I’ve been quite vocal and passionate about this topic myself and 💯 agree with your points. As for budgeting, I always say, if you save before spending, a budget becomes unnecessary, as you learn to live well below your means. xx
Thank you Eileen for the wonderful advices. I'm over 55 and having been working hard and saving all my life so I feel if I don't spend a bit on myself now, then when. I got friends dying left and right and sadly it helps me feel a bit justified spending money on luxury items I don't really need. I'm watching your channel in the hope of it helping to curb my spending bcuz I do feel bad dropping thousands on a bag.
I really think that we should talk more about money. Nowadays we're so influenced by social media to buy but it's so important to have a ground knowledge about money, how to spend it smartly and how to invest it. I grew up with the mentality that if I can not afford something, I won´t buy it till I can (maybe never). I love these videos as much I enjoy luxury shopping because I think that you don´t need to buy a luxury bag every month or every year if that means contracting a debt.
I think that's really the key for healthy luxury shopping-- only buy it when you can actually afford it, not putting everything we like on credit cards xx
"Not one investment in the world guarantee's you a return of 18%". Eileen, this is one of the best and most sobering financial statements I have heard in a very long time. This is so helpful for ROI perspective. Thank you, and keep up the good work in your calming manner.
Very helpful video and great 👍 topic! This was a good reminder that we are not obligated to buy even if we get contacted by an SA with new items. SAs are there to sell and they are not our friends. I have distanced myself from browsing in stores this year and it has gotten easier over time. It was so hard in the beginning. I still get tempted to treat myself after a bad day at work but I have held back. I am now saving for a Palm Springs mini which has been on my wishlist for years and I will probably go preloved. The new By the Pool collection is beautiful but I am going to use the money towarads a road trip instead and self care. You look so elegant today. 💜
Hi Eileen! Would you consider doing a video on the cost per wear? Another other comparing the Birkin and Kelly would be really appreciated too (what to consider when buying one, features, the type of person each bag suits,...). That would be awesome^^ thank you!
Hi Eileen, just wanted to say I agree with all your points in being mindful of the way we spent money. I do believe that being a Luxury minimalist is the way to go. ✨✨
My tips: 1. Just like how you shouldn't rush into purchasing luxury bags, don't rush into investments. Do your research and really understand your tolerance in market volatility(especially now) and time frame. If you plan to retire in a year or two especially. 2. I like keeping group photo of my collection on my phone. So when I want to do impulse shopping(work stress or boredom), it's good way to be mindful of what your ideal style is and what you already have. On other note, I can relate to you Eileen. Whenever I want to buy something, I calculate in how much stock shares that 1 purchase is equivalent to and the projected growth. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Truer words....”it will start controlling you” You must make your money work for you, but also prioritize your luxury spending i.e. vacations, accessories, vehicles. Hope your new work journey is treating you well Eileen ❤️
Hi Eileen, Thank you for this video and great advice! I would definitely start with a budget to see where all the money goes. A budget is an eye opener 😊
I don't use credit cards. And I can control myself by overspending!🤣 Decluttering save me more space and money. I don't spend to buy my luxury item with debts coz It gives me more stress!🤣 Being mindful of getting luxury items is much happier and at peace!!!😅 Thanks Eileen for another way to impart information on financial obligations!!!🥰
Very nice advice. I sent my son a link to an earlier one - I was so surprised when he told me it helped him :) He paid off a big debt in one month - it had dragged on and on , but now it’s done:) We had a re cap about the importance of personal credit scores and finance. It’s difficult for some young people when the job situation has been so precarious in recent years. They don’t have enough experiences of recessions or they don’t have enough experience managing a regular reliable salary.
I was about to buy something but then again i have doubts.. i always leaning towards saving rather than spending... some of the luxury hauls is so enticing... its good someone is teaching us to save up..
Budgeting has definitely changed my life only in less than two years imagine five years to come I’m so excited for the future. And financial freedom Great tips thanks 🙏

Hi Eileen, love watching your videos. I have become more happy with quality over quantity. I am in the process of paying off debt and saving for a trip. I have one Hermès bag, the Picotin that I got recently for a very special birthday. Can you do a video about how to save for a Birken or Kelly?
I pretty much save the same way for every big purchase, pay myself first, invest, pay the bills, and the leftover is my shopping money. Depending on the price tag, certainly items do take a bit longer to save for but I try my best not to change my financial structure xx
My new self-indulgent luxury love is my investment account and shop mindfully from dividends. The wait is longer but its fruits sweeter. Thank you for advocating, Eileen! Xx
I love your videos. Just like you said, I think that we need to take care of our more important responsibilities first before indulging. This can be very hard if you always wanted something, and finally you have the money for it, but you have debt too. I remember something Dr Phil said a few years ago to a guy who buys expensive things but is in debt and not doing well financially, “Don’t finance toys”. That is why I only buy expensive things if I can pay them off NOW. This means I save and plan, which also means I don’t have a huge collection. Another thing I started doing is really thinking how I’m gonna use my items, and how they fit into my lifestyle. I used to buy things thinking I can use them, only to regret a few months later. I have fewer items now, but I’m much happier.
Hi Eye Lean... I wish my moocher brother can listen to you. He is 56 years old and spent all his money on cars. He loves muscle cars and trades in his car every 1-2 years. Now, he's broke and has no retirement or emergency fund. He received an inheritance of $900,000 and spent all on cars and expensive sushi. He spent all his money and now his girlfriend left him because he's brokedown. I can't stand him. He's such a looser.
I am debt free- never ever credit- it is evil Of this world- Iseen som many families loose their home and still pay credit in the last 2010 financial crises- I seen so much people lives destroyed of bank credits/ for appartments houses- no house/ no appartment taken by bank and still credit debt to pay to bank for half of life
