Great tutorial. I will be using this to cover some pillows that don't match my couch. It's a nice, dense stitch with interesting but not distracting texture, which is just what I want. Thanks for making it so easy to learn and follow!
This video is fabulous. I am a recovering head injury patient and I’ve had to learn how to crochet all over again and the way you explain things is just wonderful and I can’t thank you enough. ❤
I tried multiple times to close that gap at the end of a star stitch row and couldn't for the life of me figure out how. Thanks for making it so simple.
Oh my!! This video/method is a true game changer!! I just recently tried the star stitch, and I loved it, but really really disliked the way the sides/ends looked with that “gap!!” This is a thousand times more lovely done this way!! Thank you so much for this tutorial!!
You explain this so well. I've done this stitch before in a blanket (and apparently forgot how), but now I'm using a metallic yarn trying to make a little clutch bag and was having the hardest time. Your tutorial is the best - thank you!!
Wow! That's the 4th video I'm watching to try to understand that stitch, and Girl, you rock it!! Thank you so much! Best explanation! You show clearly where to insert the hook and I prefer the finish you do for the sides! ❤👏👍
I am not sure what I am or am not doing wrong.. I tried a different pattern and it left a big gap at tail. Tried with your stitch count and ended up with another extra chain. Combined the two by using odd number chain and the count worked out perfectly to use your method at the end of first row to get no big gaps. Only thing I can think of is I'm not counting to the second stitch from hook in the correct way when I'm starting the first row.. 🤷🤷
I think it has to do with working in the back loop. I tried several times not working into the back loop (bc I don’t like the back loop on the foundation row). Every time I worked it into the side loop as she calls it, I ended up with an extra chain as well. I forced myself to do it again and work into the back loop 😅 and it worked exactly as hers and with no extra chain at the end.
Love your instructions. Easy to follow. Fixed my edges.
That’s great! I’m happy I could help!
I really love this video 🤍 its very helpfull!!!
Awesome! I’m so glad you found it helpful!

Instructions are much clearer than the other videos, which i have seen to learn star pattern--- loved the way you explain - ❤
Best explanation of where exactly to insert the hook for the star stitch! Visibly and verbally clear. Many thanks!

My earlier project had gaps at one end & this tutorial makes it perfect! I'm making a blanket with this stitch.

Great instructions! Thank you!
Ok just to confirm, you do not do 2 double crochet in the partial star eye at the end? Very helpful thank you!
