🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on UA-cam yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

You are amazing and I thank-you for being teacher here, I am a complete student.
hello
Keep them coming. Love your videos 💖
Love this stitch! Thank you!❤
Getting a good laugh at how the trinity stitch isn’t “holy.” 😅 As always, this was clear and easy to follow. You are a great teacher ❤
Thank you so much Kate! 🥰🤗
@@HookedbyRobin 👍👏
Hi Robyn, I just wanted to say the same as Robyn, you are a fantastic teacher and the video is excellent. I can finally see how I have been losing stitches... that pesky end stitch! Thanks so much x@@HookedbyRobin
A much more simple version of a jasmine stitch...still just as beautiful!! Thank you Robin!! 🧶💗
Robin did a good job in detail of this stitch.!! Now I will be using this this stitch a lot. Thank you Robin. Well appreciated
You’re welcome Renae!😃🧶
Robin is an excellent teacher! So happy I found her!
Thank you so much Gloria!😃🥰
Thankyou Robin, I've been crocheting for many, many years but could never get the hang of this lovely simple stitch!!! 👵🏻👵🏻👵🏻 But thanks to your tutorial, I've finally cracked it 😀😀😀So you CAN teach an old dog new tricks 👍 I love watching your tutorials, all so nicely explained !!! 😊😊😊
🎉 this will probably be the only stitch I use it's so nice and handy for towels in the kitchen...
Definitely!😃🧶
I finally finished the blanket I started on a whim using this stitch. I LOVE IT. This is by far my favorite stitch, I never got tired of it. And I made a big blanket lol. Thank you so much, Robin for sharing it and your clear instructions. You are one of my favorite UA-cam crochet channels ❤
Wow! At last, crochet tutorials that are great for beginners and not a snooze for more experienced crocheters. Really love the annotations on the handy divided time line, too! I'm subbing right now!!
As always, clear, clean, serene, & perfectly done.
Thank you!
☺💖💎🏆
Your tutorials are so easy to follow, love them.
Thank you so much! 🥰

This would be perfect for a preemie blanket and so pretty as well.
Definitely Paula!😃🧶
I wanted thank you for all these tutorials you've created for us! I haven't crocheted since I was 12. Now I am 40 and am almost finished with my first blanket. I will be creating this trinity stitch as my next lap blanket for my sweetheart mother in law. Anyways been watching g you the past two years and thank you again. Stay awesome and unique. Hugs from Shana
Working on this beautiful easy quick stitch!! I'm using a chunky #5 yarn and a 10mm hook and I've changed it up a bit by doing my stitches in the back loop after the first row. It creates a little ridge, so pretty and it's not quite as dense. Wishing you a very happy holiday season ☺️
That sounds fantastic Lisa! 😃 Thank you so much, you too!🎄❄️
See measurement tip below!
Thanks again Robin for your most excellent tutorial of the Trinity stitch! I just love it!
This stitch has worked out perfectly for the washcloths that I’m making and as you said, it’s a dense pattern and the edges stay straight and hold their edge!
There is one tip that I’d like to share about measuring. I found that I needed to chain an extra inch to get the desired length. For example: I wanted a 7” finished washcloth, but to get that, I had to make a chain of 8”. Did anyone else find this true?
Thank you for that tip.
You teach in such a wonderful way. Love the stitches and patterns you have. I've been crocheting 51 yrs and i still learn so much from you. Thank You so much
Terri
You’re so welcome Terri!😃🧶
Thank you Robin! I'm in crunch mode to finish Christmas gifts . This is a much better stitch for dish cloths than what I've been using.
It works so well for dish cloths Lorrie, I am glad you found the video.🥰🤗
I've missed your tutorials. I like how you teach us some brand new stitched in such a simple way. And for some reason I find your videos very relaxing 😅
I said the same thing to my husband this evening - she's like the Bob Ross of crochet!! (we always found his videos relaxing as well)
So happy to have found your page! What a lovely teacher you are! I am starting a blanket with this stitch! Thank you again!
Awwh, thank you so much!🥰🧶
Agree! 😊
Hi Robin. I love your tutorials and am currently crocheting a shawl for my daughter with one of the patterns you've shared on your channel. I haven't tried the trinity stitch yet, but it's LOVELY and I already have two ideas for how to use it. I will use it to make a 3rd dishcloth for my daughter(already made two others with other stitches) And I'll use it to make a bag for my beads and prayer book(I'm a practicing Buddhist) One cool thing about using it for my bead/ prayer book bag is the trinity/three idea. Three is also a significant number in my spiritual practice. Thanks for all you share. I must agree with comments made by many others... you are a wonderful teacher!🙂
Good morning Miss Robin! I wanted to thank you for this tutorial. I have made dishcloths for my kitchen for many years, I couldn't tell you the last time I bought commercial made cloths. This is by far the BEST stitch I have ever used. The density of the stitch really is perfect for them and they are pretty to look at as well. Thanks again for your work!
You're the best teacher ever, now my crochet guru. Thank you for you!
you give the best and clearest instructions on your videos. thank you.
Thank you so much Karen! 😃🥰
You are a great teacher! We’re you ever a school teacher? You are very mindful of repeating the steps verbally to help us commit it to memory as we go along. Actually you are much better than any formally trained teacher I had at school. Thank you for the huge array of stitches and really good quality tutorials. Also interesting to see how you tension your yarn and hold your hook, seems much easier than the more common style used, I’m going to try and do it your way as I find I end up having to remind myself to loosen up my tension on my yarn and hook like holding a pen or pencil too tight whilst writing. ❤️
Aw thank you Emma - I've never been a school teacher no, I'm not sure I'd have the patience for it 😂
I'm starting some new dish towels now! It's been long over due but I've not been able to land on a pattern that inspired me....LOVE this one. It's new for me and I can't wait to finish dinner so I can get on it! Thank you so much ....you have an amazing teaching talent!
I love hooked by robin. She takes it slow and I love her voice.
😊 thank you!
I have found that your explanation of any stitch is thorough and comprehensive. Thank you.
My pleasure! I’m glad the videos help.😃
I have always loved the look of this stitch and want to make myself a lovely, large bag to stash a WIP in so I can carry it wherever I go. THis is astonishingly simple; I thought it would be much more difficult. Thanks for the great tutorial!
I love ❤️ the Trinity Stitch. I am crocheting this stitch for my future daughter-in-law for Christmas in Caron Party Sparkle Red Yarn 🧶
That sounds wonderful Barbara!😃🎄
I love this grant spike stitch. I started with a foundationless half double crochet and it turned out spectacular.
Thank you, Learning from you is always a joy.
"You're Simply The Best".
My mother actually just called the other day and requested I make her some coasters. I'm going to use this stitch for those I think!
Ooh yes!
remember to use 100% cotton yarn for coasters where mugs with hot tea or coffee will be placed on them (just like hotpads!) Have fun!
@@DH-qz2so always do!
My friend's daughter's name is Trinity. I think this would be a cool blanket to make for her!
I’m making a patchwork cardigan and its mostly shades of gray and white, so I’m flipping through all your stitch videos like this so I can make them all different for a little more visual interest, so thanks for your help!
Thank you for making this stitch clear. I read other instructions that did not clarify the need to NOT chain 1 at the end, but to begin and end with a single crochet! So very helpful! Thank you!
This stitch was new to me. I had to try it and made a dishcloth. Now I have to make more. Easy and fun to do.
Finally! I can do the trinity stitch now. Thank you! I don't know why this stitch gave me so much trouble. You explained it better than anyone
Thank you so much for the tutorial on the Trinity Stitch. I am making matching Dishcloth and Dish Towel sets as gifts.
Robin this is a beautiful stitch. I have not used this stitch before. I believe this would make lovely placemats for my kitchen table. Thank you for this well explained tutorial. Love ❤️
I really do like your tutorials I've made plenty of afghans for my family with them now this stitch will be added to my collection thank you keep up the great work
I'm definitely putting this in my list of scarf stitches! Thank you so much for using US terminology. So much easier!!
It's a lovely stitch! Im going to have a go at doing some dish cloths with the Trinity Stitch. Thanks Robin!
You’re so welcome Myra!😃🧶
Your teaching technique is spot on ! Was trying this stitch using another site but was not told about the "tricky bit at the end of the row". Following your instructions has allowed me to create a much nicer project. Thank you again !🍻
Thank you for explaining it so good and uncomplicated 🙏🏻❤️ I’ve been crocheting washcloths with the trinity stitch, they look good and feel ever so nicely. 🥰
I love that you add in those tips. Reminding us about the tricky ends.
Very straight forward explanation.

I just finished making a baby blanket with that stitch! Thank you.
I already have a project in mind for this, I seriously love the texture!

I really love this stitch so easy yo do and my afghan for my nephew is going to nice than I thought. It's orange, green, red and yellow...his choice so I'm so glad I found your video. Started this morning and it already looks great!
I want to try this! It's just what I've been looking for! Looks great and no holes!
This Stich looks so pretty. Perfect for wash cloths which I'm going to try and make. Thank you.
Love this stitch, never used before, however, I am gonna finally make myself an Afghan with this stitch. Thanks Robin, absolutely love your tutorials. ❤️
I did a practice run and found it very easy but when completed it looks difficult to do!! I love it and will crochet a baby blanket with this stitch!! Thankyou for this tutorial!!!
Hi Robin! I would love to use this stitch on a Pocket Shawl for a friends daughter who has been dealing with back pain issues. Our Women's Bibles study group will pray over the completed shawl. Thank you, for this wonderful and easy to follow tutorial. 🌻🌞🌻
Trying this now with Peaces and Cream 100% cotton. Making a kitchen towel.
That sounds great Maurya!😃 How is it going?
I made a hot mat by using miscellaneous leftover yarn. Added a scalloped border. It ended up being about 10 x 10”. Blue with a turquoise boarder.
I see what you mean by stitching loosely. I enjoy learning new stitches and you are very patient and easy to understand. Thank you ❤❤❤
That sounds wonderful Sharon and I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos.😃🥰
Yes!! I am going to try this beautiful stitch for a scarf, then a blanket 😍 TY
I've not come across this stitch before, it looks nice, and easy to try. I've wanted to make a cross body bag, and this stitch looks perfect for the project. Lovely tutorial, makes it all clear and is easy to follow.
Thank you for this tutorial. I am using this stitch to make my father a Chemo blanket. He was diagnosed with throat cancer and I know chemo messes with your body temperature because you lose all body hair. This stitch is perfect because it is closed. I appreciate you giving your time to teach. 🙏🏽
I’m sorry to read about your father, what a lovely blanket to make him.🥰🤗
I've never used this stitch but will definitely be trying it! You make look so very easy.. Thanks for a very clear tutorial. 🙂
Yes I like this stitch, very easy to follow you.I really need some dish cloths.
Very nice pattern, making one for my Great grand son .Precise instructions, easy and simple.
Thanks so much for making and sharing this video! I love learning new stitches and I can't wait to try it out on a new project. 💖
this stitch looks gorgeous! I cannot wait to try it!!
Tysm!! I've avoided this stitch for so long because i just thought it was really difficult, i tried it with another youtuber and it bedazzled me the way they explained it - so confusing!
Thankfully peace has been attained and i love this stitch 😍
It’s amazing such an easy stitch can create such a beautiful afghan. Many thanks for this video.
Thank you so much for making this so easy to follow. I have been asked to make wash cloths for my soon to be daughter in law. And I have tried a few stitches and they are hard for me to follow. I love how easy you make it to follow. Thank you
Oh my gosh, my NEW FAVORITE stitch! It's lovely. I like it way more than the similar-looking Suzette stitch. Thank you. You're instructions were perfect. 💕
Making a queen size blanket/spread in this stitch. Very pleased with how it's working up☺️
That sounds wonderful Robin and great name!😀🧶
Yours was the 3rd video I watched on this stitch. Yours made the most sense. The others were very confusing as they started the second row. It felt like they were saying "into the chain-1 space" when they meant "into the trinity cluster," and vice versa. You were crystal-clear as to what to do in the second row. Thanks!
thank you so much Diane! So glad it was a helpful video! x
Very beautiful! Thank you so much fir such a great tutorial for this stitch. It’s easy to follow and you explain and show it so well. I can’t wait to try this.
I absolutely love the way you explain your stitch tutorials! I will define trying this one! Thank you Robin ❤😊
Thank you so much Emma! 😃
Love this beautiful pattern, oh my goodness, I am in love with this new stitch, Thanks for sharing, HUGSSSSS!!!
Thank you for this tutorial i love this stitch. I am making 4 scarves and i wanted to do different styles. I already made 2 so now i can use this trinity stitch for 1 of the remaining scarves. Thank you again for sharing.... 😊👏
Definitely up a hook size for a scarf then you'll get lovely drape 😍
I'll be making dish cloths, hand towels & pot holders for my daughter with this stitch.
I’ve never tried this stitch but I think I’ll make a scarf with it. That color way of the yarn you’re using is gorgeous. I might have to get some of that (like I need more yarn 😳😝). Thanks for your great tutorials!
You always need more yarn 🤪 Fact.
You can never have to much yarn! 🧶💕😆
Love this stitch!! Very pretty 😍 Thank you for sharing!!
Hi Robin! Yes, I have used this stitch before and can you take a grab at who taught it to me? Yes, you!
I've made a scarf once and a set of wash cloths for a friend. 😊😍 I think I'll give it a go again as it's been awhile. Thank you for being a great instructor of crochet! ❤️
🥰
Thank you for such a clear explanation and the hints as you go along - I was crocheting along and they came up just as I was doing them. Very helpful :)

Has anyone made a blanket with this stitch? I’m tempted just because I don’t love how most blanket stitches are indeed “holy!” LOVE the tutorial by the way, this may be a hot take but I appreciate that you don’t have distracting music in the background or in the spots where you aren’t talking! 💕
Thank you so much Amalia!😃🧶
Love this stitch. I have new spring colors I think this will be great on. Thank you.
Love the tutorial, you made it so easy and simple to understand. I’m going to make a blanket for my niece w/chenille using this stitch. Hope it’s not too thick/bulky.
I love the way this stitch looks 😍
Great lesson. It looks fun to day. Hopefully this will track me to crochet looser than I do now. Going to make a large blanket just for me well I guess my cat Jasper too.
That is a great idea Karen, my cats always want to sit on my blankets too.😃
Love the colorful wool!!!
