I love the speed at which you talk. It’s slow enough to absorb what you’re saying but never boring. You never once repeat yourself, which I find confusing when others do. Thank you for your excellent tutorial. 😊
Your explanation is simple and direct, but it's your camera work which I feel far exceeds other videos. It's so important to see which stitches are being talked about that sometimes are not shown as clearly as you're able to do. It's that closeup camera work that makes your video so easy to understand and follow.
Ahhhh! I've watched and practiced several other tutorials for the star stitch but wasn't really thrilled with how the ends turned out - this way is MUCH better, thank you :)
I was about to say the same thing. Several other tutorials I tried and the edges looked so crazy. This one’s instructions are so much clearer and it looks so nice!
Finally!!! a star stitch I love the looks of!! I kept trying others and hated the end of the row so never did anything. Now I can finally make a star stitch blanket!! I also love how you show it several times and not just once...so helpful! Thank you!❤
Beautiful stitch. Great tutorial very well explained and clear instructions. I think as a beginner I would be able to follow this. I also love the fun terminology “eye of the star” and “little arms” 😉 Thank you so much for sharing 🤗🇬🇧
Thank you. I too have trouble with the other stitches was of doing their instructions I am not getting it. I think I have it now and I am ready to start. Thank you so much.
I have been knitting for more than 50 years and have crocheted occasionally. Very clear instructions and good visual guide. I am encouraged to crochet more as there are some very decorative stitch patterns. You are now my first choice to help me improve my crochet. Thank you
@Tiara Lace Crochet • I'm pleased to see so many comments recognizing your incredible tutorial. Your knowledge of what can go wrong for beginning crocheters is remarkable. For example, you point out the difference between the ridge of the half-double crochet and the stitch behind, which is the knowledge all beginners need. So many other tutorials mention crochet into the next stitch as they fast forward to the end of the row. We end up with a knotted mess, feeling frustrated and incompetent. You have saved us from this negativity. I also love the fact that you repeated the verbal instructions for each stitch just like our mothers or grandmothers would do as we sat beside them. This repetition allows us to internalize each stitch and you did it for enough rows that we can truly learn it. Along with your verbal instruction, I love the pace. This is the first tutorial I have seen where I can play the video as I do the stitch. When I see the quality of your instruction and videography, you remind me of what the founders of the Internet must have dreamed about. An individual, such as yourself, with a particular knowledge and expertise, sharing knowledge with the rest of the world. I'm placing you in my Internet Hall of Fame for UA-camrs who embody the ideal of the Internet. Live long and prosper. 🖖
This was amazing. Not only did I understand how to do this, but your voice is so soothing. I want to have a tea by the fire and listen to you tell stories. 😊
I love this stitch, But watching several other tutorials has put me into so much stress, because they were so fast, it was like they were bragging about their speed, accomplishment or I don't know what. But your Just made my Day, I could watch you 24/7!! Thank you for that!!
I LOVE YOUR METHOD FOR THE STAR STITCH !! All the other ones I've seen only used the bottom half of the star, followed by a row of single crochets, then another bottom part of the star stitch. And I knew from stitching them years ago, that there was a top to the stars, but without pulling out my Stitch Bible, I just couldn't remember how to do the top for it. Thank you for teaching the full star stitch and not just the bottom part. Thank you so much.
Thank you! This is the clearest explanation I have seen for the star stitch. One thing that really helped was the contrasting colours between the yarn and the hook, made things really easy to see. I also love your voice! Thank you 🙏

One of the best instructional videos for the star stitch that I've watched so far! Really appreciate that this one shows how to avoid the gap at the end. Thanks so much!
I found this I was using this stitch for a baby blanket for my sister in law got four rows in and there were gaps one end looked horrible. Glad I came across this it’s so much better.
Thank you so much I made a little swatch. It looks great and it’s even. You are such a great teacher. I appreciate the hard work you have put in to learning these stitches and making tutorial videos for the rest of us.

Thank you so much, I will watch other of your tutorials for sure!! Best teacher I’ve found and I love your accent💕
You are a very good teacher. You go slow enough and explain what you are doing, so it's easy to follow you. And I agree that your camera work is perfect. It makes it easy to see what you are doing. Thank you for sharing your skill. I am learning a lot from you.
I started making a star stitch afghan using the "usual" method. However, about four hours into it, I was very frustrated by my wonky edge. Once I found this video, I scrapped the blanket and started over. This is probably the best crochet video I've ever watched. It's concise yet thorough. The focus and perspective/camera angle are just perfect. Thank you so much for posting this excellent tutorial.

Dear Susan, as a child, I grew up for 3 years in Cirenchester, England. Hello Tiara Lace Crochet, I love your video showing how to do the star stitch with neat edges! I love everything about your video: the background, the colour of the yarn making it easy to see exactly what you are doing, the pace of the video, your calm and kindly voice telling me how to proceed, how you pause now and then to show how the piece is going, and how you patiently explain the subtle nuances of your techniques. Thank you so much for all your lovely comments. In the not too distant future.... I am hoping to do a video sharing a little about myself. Once I do I will let you know. 😊
Wonderful instruction! I’m a beginner and this was the first (out of several) video that made sense to me and as a result, I was able to try my first all-over pattern without any issues! I always end up with an extra stitch or uneven sides ; not so with this great instruction. Can’t wait to try more! Thank you.
I like the star stitch. I like your way a lot better because it doesn't leave gaps. Thank you for your tutorial. It was easy to follow. You explained everything so well.
I ve an extra star each row for some reason but the videos such a pleasure I don’t mind beginning again and keeping at it-- wonderful. Everyone needs a grandmother lesson each morning 🧡🏴

Excellent tutorial!! I've watched several videos on the star stitch, but this is the BEST by far. You made everything so easy to understand. Love the closeups, thorough explanations, and showing us how to avoid the gaps (by the way, other tutorials do not do this). You are a wonderful instructor. This is an absolutely beautiful stitch, and I am excited to start a baby blanket very soon.
Thank you for this tutorial! You make it so easy to follow. Crocheting in air conditioning Perth West Australia as it was 41 degrees today 🥵😁. You have a lovely calming voice may I add 🙏
@@TiaraLaceCrochet I love Wales 🏴. I lived near Manchester a town called Stalybridge for a few years. I just love the cold! 👌 You can add layers to warm up but there’s only so much you can take off 😁. Thanks again 👌
You are a fabulous teacher! Your video is so clear. I’m using turquoise yarn with metallic gold strands in it and it looks beautiful so far. Thank you.
This is the first time that I have seen you do a tutorial. I really enjoyed it. I think you do a really really good job at explaining I am looking forward to seeing you do other things. Thank you.
Omg !! This has got to be the most easiest star stitch I have seen ..I have been hunting for it and wow I found you .thank you so much ❤😊much love from Canada 😊
Thank you so very much for your great tutorial. You are the first tutor I have discovered who holds the yarn to crochet the same way as myself, it is so much easier and more comfortable. I learned as a child in Scotland prior to moving to Australia. I crochet hats for new borns and am definitely going to try this stitch as it is so lovely.
thank you. I was taught as a child to hold my hook and yarn as I do by an older lady, I think back in the day this way was the norm. We must be from the same generation 😉
Adorei a aula!! Parabéns! Voce é uma ótima professora, objetiva, simpática, faz a demonstração de maneira simples e clara!! Muito obrigada por ensinar este lindo ponto!!
Thank you for sharing. Really like the pattern and instruction are very clear and easy to follow. Love your voice it's calming 😌 also enjoyed crocheting with you. Thank you again. 😊
I really appreciate this version of the Star Stitch! I love the way the edges look. Most do a half double at the end of the row and when they start the next, they do a single in the first half double and two singles in all the eyes. I really like this much better. Thank you! Very nice. ~Cynthia
Thank you so much. So glad that I discovered you finally!! Love your sweet voice & I've been looking for this stitch. OH my.....this looks so beautiful. I can't tell you how many times I've started over on my blanket from other videos and explanations.

I love this stitch! My son is a big fan of Star Wars and I want to make him an afghan. This would be perfect! Thank you for this tutorial.
Thank you so much 😊
I agree .. it worried about the hole at the end of the row after a number of tries with different ways ... this is wonderful .. thank you 😊
Thank you
Absolutely wonderful!!! Thank you a million times over for this fabulous and easy to follow tutorial. I'm a fan 🥰🥰
Thanks for your slow and patient way of teaching me how to do this beautiful stitch.
Another great tutorial for a beginner. I have so much more confidence since watching and trying out your work. Thank you x
Lovely to hear😊
Thank you for this tutorial! You make it so easy to follow. Crocheting in air conditioning Perth West Australia as it was 41 degrees today 🥵😁. You have a lovely calming voice may I add 🙏
Thank you so much. It's a lot cooler here in North Wales. 😊
@@TiaraLaceCrochet I love Wales 🏴. I lived near Manchester a town called Stalybridge for a few years. I just love the cold! 👌 You can add layers to warm up but there’s only so much you can take off 😁. Thanks again 👌
fabulous. i’m totally new to crochet and this is the stitch i’ve always loved. the tutorial is wonderful, easy to follow. thank you!
You are a great teacher of this star stitch. Thank you!

Thank you 🤗
This was just so lovely to follow along with! Thank you! You made it so easy to learn this stitch 💕
Thank you I am so pleased you found it easy to learn 😊
I've watched other videos on this stitch, but this is the best I've seen.
Thank you😊
Perfect and easy to understand the way you do this stitch! Thank you!!
Thank you 🤗
Thank you for sharing. Really like the pattern and instruction are very clear and easy to follow. Love your voice it's calming 😌 also enjoyed crocheting with you. Thank you again. 😊
This is insanely beautiful and thank you for such a lovely lesson!!!
I am amazed at how even the edges look! I have tried other methods, but this is the best. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom.
Thank you for your lovely comments. 😊
Your tutorials are amazing 😻

This is THE BEST tutorial I have seen! Thank you for showing your viewers how to make this gorgeous stitch!
