@@jakemiles1427 just because some singers don't have powerhouse gospel voices doesn't mean they aren't talented... I can't speak for Total because I'm not as familiar with their work but TLC were definitely talented, again T-Boz and Chilli didn't have huge voices but T-Boz's voice has always been unique and Chilli has the perfect voice for mainstream pop and R&B. Maybe not the biggest range but let's be honest the mainstream isn't typically looking for that in hits, at least not for the last 25 years (in fact, it's been like that ever since pop music has been hugely commercialized, now that I'm thinking about it, I can think of many popular 80's artists with very mild vocals. I guess the last golden age for really good vocals in most or all hits might've been the 70's or sometime prior. It's just gotten worse as time goes on). Every so often a well rounded vocalist gets a hit, but again, it's not often anymore. Not to mention, Left Eye was a great rapper and lyricist. And all three women could really dance and generally entertain. I can think of worse, more manufactured, vocally lacking girl groups of the 90's (Spice Girls) and yet your example of an untalented group is TLC... I can't 🤦🏾♀️
Pam was correct. I didn't know what to make of her sexuality, and I wasn't one to focus on it, or try to find out. I really did dig her hard vibe, as it was a good balance with the other group members, and the mystery of her sexuality made her interesting, but I loved the group as a whole. All three had a vibe that seemed to fit what they looked like. They were fire whether doing their own stuff, or backing up someone else!
@@enhancedsimplicity9708 I think it's STILL an area of sensitivity for Keisha Epps, I know from the interview Total did back in 1999, with Sister 2 Sister magazine, Keisha sure made a colorist comment about me, when she added: "That's when light-skinned girls were in" after she finished describing me and how I looked back in our school days. Funny, I never knew light skinned and dark skinned girls went in and out like styles. I wonder if Keisha STILL feels the same, today.

I love that you give us what the youngsters these days call "Tea" it's informative and respectful, yet juicy. Thanks RRG!!!!
Y'all can hear Pam singing the chorus of Hypnotize
How come I'm just realizing that after all these yrs🤯
@@yvonnebaltimore7729 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
I thought somebody said that was actually Lil Kim singing.. oh wow!
i always thought that was keisha....you sure?
@@arieltaylor6070 it’s Pam
I LOVED TOTAL GROWING UP.. And Pam ALWAYS was my favorite because I NEVER COULD FIGURE HER OUT & THAT FASCINATED ME..
Total was the bomb! They were they only dark skin group of girls and I lived that about them ❤️
Huh? Xscape, TLC, 702... it's Clear that skin color is your area of sensitivity
Total has one of each... 1 dark, 1 brown & 1 light
They is not dark skin dumbass
@@enhancedsimplicity9708 I think it's STILL an area of sensitivity for Keisha Epps, I know from the interview Total did back in 1999, with Sister 2 Sister magazine, Keisha sure made a colorist comment about me, when she added: "That's when light-skinned girls were in" after she finished describing me and how I looked back in our school days. Funny, I never knew light skinned and dark skinned girls went in and out like styles. I wonder if Keisha STILL feels the same, today.
Girl, shut up. 🙄
I had a crush on Keisha. She was so pretty
Er'body had a crush on Keisha...please don't ask why I said that in the tune of 'tipsy'...
Same
Me too
Me too
She still is very pretty
They are still one of my favorite girl groups of all time.
Grooming process huh?...

Talent, natural beauty and class! I miss those qualities in today's rnb artists...
You always have the best info! Hopefully you can find out what really happened to R&B 90s singer, John B! He was such a good singer and had so many hits!!
I remember seeing Keisha in the Flava in ya ear remix video, ya jingling baby go head daddy. I remember hearing them in Juicy too especially on that part "I'll give u good and plenty" long before they made it on their own. They were around for a while
Total!! 😍 I was born in the early 2000’s andI love 90’s music. Can you do 702 next ❤️
Unsung did something on them. Go check it out
I still blasted they music: trippin, can’t you see, what about us, kissing you and sittin home.🎶
Puffy happened to them poor girls in every sense of the word puffy had them in projects while they giving us good music cause he took their money
Pam issues with her mom had her traumatized and that's awful. It transpired into issues within the group. Peace, love, and light to these beautiful ladies. I hope Pam has forgiven her mom and healed
Total was ahead of their time slap on auto tune and they would be legendary!😂
I can't wait for the day that we can be togetherrrrrrrrr, I can't let you walk away ooooooo!!! 🎵 **does P Diddy dance**
👊🏽 And there's nothing left for me to sayy eyay, oh bae bae!
We called that the Bad Boy Bop! It's what I do whenever I hear any Bad Boy groove lol
Puff or whatever his name is ; just curses anyone that makes a deal with him ....
That's just what he does... there's no good in him. This year has been exposing people in the music industry.... and he's one of them!! You can't mess over people and get away with it

Total's first album was fire. But as we all know, nothing lasts long with Bad Boy Records.
Total Was Definitely The 90'$
I have always been a fan. I never stopped bumping "kissing you." That is my favorite song PERIOD!! 😊😊😊
Original and remix
For real
Signing a music contract with Diddy, is the death of ones music career.
“Can’t you see what you do to me?” 🎵 my forever jam
I swear that damn Keisha could very well be the sexiest person ever born.
Omg...they turnt the 90s up!!!! Good ole days!
I idolized Keisha. In high school I modeled myself after Keisha and Laura from Family Matters. Keisha was a real heartbreaker too. You could do a whole, separate segment on Keisha Spivey's messy love life.
🤭💖
She date da brat and Andre 3000
@@shayjackson8563 Didn't know about Da Brat but 3k was ready to end it all for her. Biggie also cut me loose to date her when she got on Bad Boy. 😒
They weren't the greatest vocally but they had some bangers!! The soundtrack to my high school yrs!!!
Yes they were the greatest..you trippin 🤣🤣
@@yotiep.1072 They were the greatest what?!! Im a Total fan but I'm not delusional, they're were many other R&B groups that could and did sing circles around them. En Vogue, Xscape, Kut Klose, Brownstone, Changing Faces, Jade etc. Just to name a few! I loved there music but they were never known for their vocal abilities.

@@sergeantwilliams8185 🙋🏾♀️
I agree. I also always said that about Mary J. She is not the greatest singer... but her songs were bangers. There's a big difference.
You have made my day with this Total episode. Thank you very much..xx
Edit: not cool Pam...not cool at all making up those allegations about your ex husband.
Total is one of my favorite groups from the 90’s, they got some bangers that have aged well cause they still sound good now, keisha always looked like beyonce sister from another mother just gorgeous, kima always gave me aaliyah vibes, pam gave badass alpha female vibes with unique voice, dope group diddy screwed over like most of his artist
Loved these ladies. Their voices, their style, everything about them.
Puffy! That's what happened to them!
Definitely never forgotten. I remember when I was about 16, and they came to Houston. They were wanting to start a younger female group. I was a candidate. I sung for and spoke with them (over the phone) alot. (BTW I am 42 now)
Can you do Changing Faces and Brownstone
Great ideas. Thank you for the suggestions!
And do swv
Destiny Childs before Beyonce went solo and blew up

Xscape also they had hits when Jermaine Dupri put them on map with so so def?
"Can't You See" was my Shhhhhh!!! Rest in peace Biggie!!🕊
This is one of the greatest black channels on youtube. I love it.

Diddy effed everybody up

I remember Diddy being on MTV cribs & I believe it was Pam outside smoking a cigarette. The camera went straight on her & she tried to hide. Diddy said “Put that out, you here to be in the studio” or something of that nature. I will never forget that, I was so shocked.
It was keisha
I Loved Total , their music was all that, I still listen to them when I listen to all my favorite R&B 90's music, It would be nice to see them reunite and tour again
Kissing you is my songgg!
