Can't get over Susan's two voices. She speaks more timid than a girl scout selling cookies, and she sings like Janis Joplin on steroids. It's utterly impossible not to like this woman and her virtuoso husband. This is just pure gold music, does not get any better.
Tedeschi Trucks disproves my long-held opinion that a horn section just mucks up rock/blues music. I remember well how I thought that Blood, Sweat and Tears sucked in the late 60's. Yeah, I was there, in New York City, and had been a big fan of the great-but-largely-forgotten Blues Project, predecessor to BS&T. This music IS pure gold, just like @bertvanmanen3966 said!
Yes, this is a unique band really: their versatility, soul and ability to move across/bring together multiple genres without ever sounding lost or uninteresting. Of course they're rooted in the late sixties and seventies, but they're acive here today half a century later and still growing and developing. Derek Trucks is one of the best guitar players in southern rock/soul today and Susan is likely the greatest female white soul singer to emerge from the US over the last forty years. I love TTB too! 💗💗
One of the things I love about Susan and Derek aside from their phenomenal musical abilities is that they are so laid back, unassuming and humble in a world filled with egotistical "look at ME" performers. They're all about the Music being the important thing not their persons. Ya gotta respect this a ton IMHO. True Artists!!!

dont know how many contemporary blues/rock bands use two drummers, but couldnt imagine Trucks Band without them..they earn their pay..every part makes the other part better in this phenomenal band
the Allman Brothers Band had two drummers. one of the drummers was Butch Trucks (RIP😢,) who was Derek’s uncle. and Jai Johanny Johanson, who is still working i think, is the drumming partner in that amazing decades-long collaboration. Derek started out playing with the Allman Brothers Band when he was about 12! TTB is sort of a third generation ABB, sort of. their music is pretty much the soundtrack of my life as well as so many other ABB, DTB, and TTB lovers. peace and love. ✌🏼♥️

I will be seeing them for the 4th and 5th time since I discovered them in 2017, I'm doing my best to promote them In Scotland 🏴, and I'm delighted to see they're coming to Scotland my city of Edinburgh would have been my preference, but Glasgow will do, they're simply the most talented band I've ever seen or heard, and Susan's voice well what can I say, I just love the woman. 🏴

I think a lot of music-philes do get it! pre-pandemic, all the T&T shows I went to were jammed packed! And I totally agree - these guys are some of the finest rock/blues musicians playing currently. Derek is certainly now in the pantheon of greatest rock/blues guitarist ever.

Good grief!! The Storm is like a freight train that runs right over you. I was lucky enough to have front row seats when they performed this song as the closing number in Seattle a few years ago and I'll never forget it. Unmatched musicianship by any band around.
You can see the love and respect for Kofi on his solo from the band. All are watching him with a smile. Susan dancing, Mike Mathison showing more emotion than ever, even Derek breaking into a smile. And, of course, the horns can't contain themselves.

Yes, Derek was in the lineup for the Brothers. Mark May was on the bill, but did not play. Oddly enough, I saw him at one of the entrance doors; someone opened it , and he spoke to them, then hauled ass. Susan wasn't even on the bill; Mark May was. Have no idea what the deal was. Damn good show, anyway, including her. Good guitar player.

I just HAVE to nominate "Do I Look Worried" as best song EVER! Lol The rhythm makes one sway, up & down, back & forth. Great slide guitar (as always) and a killer horn arrangement. The lyrics ain't too shabby either.

I first heard Susan Tedeschi on Sirius XM blues channel, in 2005, and was an instant fan!
I first saw her opening for the Brothers, in early 1999 at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans. 40th anniversary tour.
Yes, Derek was in the lineup for the Brothers. Mark May was on the bill, but did not play. Oddly enough, I saw him at one of the entrance doors; someone opened it , and he spoke to them, then hauled ass. Susan wasn't even on the bill; Mark May was. Have no idea what the deal was. Damn good show, anyway, including her. Good guitar player.
